Age of Magic

I started 5 star on this game , captivated by the design, the lore and the artwork. Over time it gets quite repetitive, but still enjoyable. However, totally disappointing on the money grab side: the latest upgrade is beyond reasonable: one would need to pay 100's of eur per month just to get some random upgrades. One F2P player would need 500 years to complete a single hero tells you everything. If you want pay be ready to spend 100 x of what you would pay for an Xbox game pass for example.

Frustrating game. At first I was enchanted by the graphics & gameplay, but the difficulty increases dramatically after the 10th battle, and you have to replay previous levels and hope for a chance to drop xp potions for your characters as well as enough silver coins to level them up (unless you $$$). It gets tedious. I understand that a game has to be challenging at some point, but you get stuck very very early on. Also, high quality graphics mean you have to wait for any scenery change...

The game is good, but from act 2 it becomes way too slow. From level 20 everything, the experience needed grows without reason, there's you can only play for 2 hours a day if you're not willing to pay for refill, it's a great game, it's just sad you disappoint many people just to get a few more bucks.

Agreed to all the other reviews on here. What a pity. At first I thought this could be my new favourite game but sadly ended up uninstalling in a week. The visuals, graphics and soundtrack is literally the best. But progress is too slow and not enough rewards unless you pay. If I feel like it I might come back and try playing again but in the meanwhile pls improve the game.

It's a neat game with decent graphics, but honestly? Don't bother trying to 3 star all of the missions. The AI singles out my ninja and tries to kill it first thing. I don't know what that man did to deserve so much hate, but it makes for some inconsistency, since sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. It's frustrating when I get 2 stars in one round, and 3 on the next for something I couldn't avoid since I have no defenses for that.

Its a good game, but the progress nkw requires you spend way to much money or wait years before you can get ahead in the game. Wasnt always like this. Character upgrades are all random drops which is ridiculous and means it can be many years before you fully upgrade any particular hero or like I said, spend a fortune hoping that you get a random drop that helps you upgrade the hero. Would not recommend it in its current state. Playkot change it back to a player oriented game!

I'm playing this game since the beginning and nothing changed on the good side. We invest money on it and the customer suport it's 0! The game has a lot of bugs and if you create tickets someone will respond you who nose when. All there updates comes within bugs, freezing game, errors. Last issue that I had it's in Tournement. After winning the battle you received a black screen with 'error'. Ticket created yesterday- no answer. I lost the Tournement. It's all about money. Run,run.

Very good graphics and characters. However, the servers are always going down. Now everything has been made more expensive. It takes forever to advance in this game now. The rewards are much less now and you almost have to buy equipment, something not needed before. The Arena cheats. The same exact team 10g less in power can defeat you multiple times. No point in powering up to be cheated. Defeats the whole purpose.

Very grindy and time consuming for very lottle resources. The spheres (skip functions) are a very limited resource. Otherwise the game is heavily pay to play. I don't mind spending some real money on games to support it but this game is extremely expensive. Acquiring only one decent hero and lvling it up to a decent state takes way too much resources, time, effort and definitelyway too much real money. Not worth the time or the effort.

I have been playing AoM for over 2 years now. In the first year the game was a clear strategy game. The amount of money you spend was directly correlated with your growth rate. This all changed in the 2nd year when they introduced Arcane Stars the game became a lottery. Since that was a financial success for them every aspect of the game became a lottery. It is a real shame this game had a lot of potential but it is simply no longer Age of Magic but simply Age of Mismanagement.

This game was really, really fun at the beginning but since then the game is becoming extremely frustrating. Too much RNG, many Heroes are basically unobtainable due to the lack of grinding options, money will get you nowhere, the only progress is via LUCK, if you are lucky you don't need money and you are the number one CHAMP. Not many modes to play, Clan Wars are trash and frustrating, too many heroes/items especially for new players, bad item distribution (0 needed items, dozens not needed).

Very disappointed.ive been playing for quite a while. I always buy the premium magic pass. This week a new update was released and I've been locked out ever since. I have no way to contact support as I have no way to get my game ID. Now my recent purchase is going to waste.

Time for a reality check; I was fortunate to start playing this game in January 2020 when making strategic decisions was at the heart of the game play. I still enjoy it, and play every day, but I couldn't recommend AoM to anyone thinking of starting the game now. Game play is now governed by a randomising principle that renders most choices no better than wishes. It still looks terrific, but the developers have prioritised rng, seemingly as a way of making people pay for progress.

Used to be fun to play. High end gets really boring waiting for ultra rare equipment pieces to pop in the market. Seems to be diminishing returns on equipment pieces when you get low on energy. Hero rarity and level mean almost nothing. Arcane stars and equipment level decide battles. Rng chest have taken over making it more luck of the draw than strategy.

The game starts off well and has really beautiful graphics, unfortunately the actual gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. You literally have to sit and watch your heroes battle repetitive matches, and collect enough gold or whatever to improve their stats which is a money sink. I upgraded one hero to level 18 quickly and it barely made a differences to the match. Also why is there no healing class in this game? Every hero is just a combat class with zero heal and minimal defence. Uninstalled.

I thoroughly like this game. It's an upgraded version of Dragon Soul for my ogs out there. The only thing I would change, would be for lower campaing energy refill times. Mostly for vot and raid. And my only other change would be the rewards in vot. Five chapters in and you still only get one of each skill cube. Kind of a rip considering the cost of raising skills past 5. Still a great game though, im free to play also. I payed like 3 bucks when I started for a free character and a special.

Good game. Same old story ( Saving the world from the abyss) same old factions, same old turn-based fighting style. Everything is kinda familiar. But it's still interesting to play. It worth trying.

Just will not connect to the server today. Have been playing for over a year never had any issues, was playing this morning and from 11am UK time it just won't work. I have uninstalled it switched my phone on and off and still will not work. Just bought an item as well now I can't get in. It loads fine then after about 15 seconds just says cannot connect to server, very frustrating, would have given it a 5 rating if it wasn't so temperamental when it comes to updates.

Looks like it could be ok but the gameplay is so slow during fights, that it is just to frustrating to play. It is like it is in slow motion, unfortunately not for me. Respond- I'm talking about how slow they actually fight not the time due to power, its like its in super slow motion

Game play is alright. My only complained is character balance. Once you get mid level, every one is going to use the same tank and healer because the others don't compair. Even if the other tanks and healer were level 90 with better equipment, you would be better off useing the level 70 with subpar equipment that everyone use.

It's a good game concept, after reaching level 15 - 18, you can't beat the monsters unless you buy improvements. You can't win them since you can't win. The daily login helps really don't

Developing the game has become 2nd to developing the Dev's bank account. Inconsistent rankings, inconsistent wins/loses in battles. Developing new heroes instead of developing more game content. Clan War is a constant disappointment! Need precursor game content for Clan War to understand how to play it. There is so much lacking in game content that could be improved upon.

Pretty fun game. Definitely need to expend some coin to be successful such as magic pass or it can a real slog.Many different modes to interact with, many rotating events. Raids fairly dull, could use raid events or something to spice it up. Energy rates pretty slow/low unless spending coin to supplement. Biggest annoyance is exp reward for dailies at max level...just...why? Should either increase the other resources for that given quest or add other loot. Otherwise good fun, friendly community.

If you are looking for a fast pacedgame then this isn't it, but if you have the patience to work through the game it's really worth trying it out. It has great content and graphics but its a little laggy at times which is why it gets 4* from me.

Graphics, music, and gameplay are all great. The story is poor, and none of the characters are interesting or complex. PvP is fine. I had to put a lot of effort into finding a clan with active players. The reason I'm unistalling is I don't like being constantly solicited for money. It's made me angry enough to quit the game.
