Age of War 2

Flash games were the original shovelware. So much of it was garbage, and this, while not the best quality, was very fun. Still fun today. I don't mind giving $6 to the creators 10 years later (don't actually remember how long it's been) after playing it for free for many hours after school. I only wish it were more difficult. They very easy strategy is to let them build up a line of units, march up to your base, and spam range. That way, all of your range (all 10ish) are firing at the same time. Doing massive damage. Good 2 hour time waster to do the campaigns. Music is great

Not a game you keep, but definitely worth playing, for a few hours. Can be played offline, gives a lot of Google Play Achievements XP, tough only 2 of the said 'Commanders' is free. If you've never played the flash game (like me), the trick is to play defensively, until you reach the super unit, in the last age. Stay within your Towers range, don't unlock 4th units (to save Gold) and don't worry if your opponent has advanced to the next age. 'Hard' is beatable with this simple strategy.

I really like this game. However when I played the different difficulties I found that medium was too easy and hard is still hard so there's no medium really, and the ai isn't smarter, just more op. When I also decided to buy the general mode it wouldn't work, so I uninstalled and installed it a few times (worked the 4th time) and it unlocked general mode but when I pressed on it, it told me to buy general mode again which is annoying. Overall this game is great just don't buy anything.

Good game, but when you do the bot levels, were you can choose the diffulcty. I had a thought of... what's after I beat the hardest level. Some kids parents don't buy things in games for some good reasons, and my parents don't buy things in games. So after that the only thing you can do is just beat the cave man boss. Still kinda of a good game but yeah.

I've been playing this game for a very long time and to be honest games by Max Games Studios have been the only games that have been able to keep entertaining me and still be fun no matter how my preferences in games changes over the years And I only recently saw Stick War 3 is in early access on the app store so I'm pretty excited as I greatly enjoyed Stick War Legacy Can't wait to see more if there is anymore these are some of the bets games I've found

Fun, but in the Generals package/bundle there is no reward to carry over from previous fights that help going forward. Also, WHAT IS THE DARN SECRET ACHIEVEMENT?!?!?! this game has been around for something like 10 years and I have seen no videos covering it or even hinting at it. As an achievement hunter, this hurts my soul to have 1 left.

Would be 5 stars if you litteraly didnt have to pay for everything except for the normal gamemode, i get having some stuff needs payment for but when you need to pay for everything except for one thing then its just dumb and boring, sorry if i dont wanna pay for aspects of a game i wont have installed a year from now.

This game could easily pull a higher score if the microtransactions weren't so shameful just release a full version of the game for an upfront price and use this as a demo version people are sick of downloading something that is supposed to be a full free version and then we get blindsided by microtransactions. Love the music. I used to play the flash game on pc, and the music pops to my mind from time to time and i have to play it again. Its cool that a mobile version is available now, thanks! Just won in insane mode, just for those complaining about easy mode being too hard. I think the difficulty levels are appropriate.

It's a bit old and you can play all the other modes on desktop, so I guess it's sort of useless. It is a good time waster but can sometimes get repetitive, though it is well made and has few to no bugs from my experience... It's fun, but that's all I can really say...

Awesome concept.... but still need more improvements. 2d single line fighting is too slow and enemy are too fast building up their soldiers and defenses. Almost if we miss a little while (building up defenses) it's sure by 5th level up they overwhelms us. Time factor is sure what makes it little wacky. Otherwise it's nice.

Good game, and I've got it on two devices. Took me a while to figure out how to beat every mode and general, but it was satisfying when I did. The only problem is, despite getting an update now in 2020, the "restore purchases" button still doesn't work. I can enjoy the complete experience on my phone, but not on my tablet.

I was afraid that this nostalgic game would be tainted by invasive microtransactions that make most mobile games unplayable for me. This game is safe from that! You have the base game, which is just like the desktop version, and you also have optional purchases that add more content. Not microtransactions that slowly milk you dry and make the game pay2win. A single purchase that adds extra content to enjoy. I was so glad when i realized that. This game rules.

It's a decent port I suppose, the port rebalanced some of the things like unit costs, upgrade costs the way units worked. In the original flash version, support units had a melee animation when they're fighting up close but here they just shoot projectiles as usual. The Egyptian priests now throw fireballs horizontally rather than in an arc, some unit unlocks were changed, etc... But the biggest change is the God's wrath now do splash damage, which makes it a lot easier to push.

I agree with a lot of the reviews & same for the first one as well. The ai always gets way too much experience to move to the next era too quickly. I understand that the ai has to be challenging but if you could shorten the experience they gain a little bit, would be much more fun.

I plat age of war on computer. And on mobile it's also as well made as the computer one, but it kinda is harder to beat level: Easy, and very easy to beat the first few boss guys. So maybe make the easy level ACTUALLY EASY. And the bosses go easy to hard instead of just going from super easy to SUPER hard. The app is ok I guess.

I love Age of War but once you learn how to upgrade the game becomes pointless. You can beat the hardest difficulty with ease if you upgrade correctly. Even the generals mode was very easy and the replay value is very low.

You maybe have played this game when you were younger, you may have stumbled across it on the app store and though it would be a fun nostalgia trip. Save your time and don't install it. Unfair advantages are given to the AI in order to make the game more difficult. Doesn't matter how you good you are, the AI will always beat you to ranking up and will always have more abilities/gold to use. Leave this game to your memories. This is not one of the games that aged well.

games great, maybe not as good as the first one - hence the lack of graphics - and sometimes the opponent AI just yeets away all laws of energy, and spams god powers and ages fast as hell - but its great. also, maybe not relevant, but as flash is being deleted, i would like to see more popular games from the site posted here. thanks for reading the review

I remember playing this game when I was a kid. it would take hours to beat the final level and get the giant red aliens but I always managed to win on hard. some people find medium too easy and hard too hard. I say learn I how to play better. this is a great game and I still love it.

I give this a 1 star due to the fact that I bought the DLC for the game tied to my gmail account. when I get a new phone and download the game again I can not get the dlc back. when I click the store or restore bought games it just loads and loads. I see the a lot of others have the same problem. The game developers are only giving refunds instead of fixing the problem.

Good game for long car rides, but only is fun for limited time. I played this game for 2 weeks off and on starting with a road trip. After 2 weeks and beating all the modes there wasn't much left to do besides pointless achievements, they need to add more evolutions and more upgrades/specials/towers or make a new game.

Overpriced DLC and some differences to the flash game. If you want to get all the achievements, you'll be paying out of pocket to unlock the generals mode. Don't forget adverts after every time you play! Honestly, these issues alone ruin the gameplay experience.

S tier mobile game. You could pause the game, choose difficulty, ad free when in game, and many challenging strategies to choose from. Overall great game however, like most mobile games redundancy becomes an issue. Would recommend.

Even on the easy mode, the AI cheats to make up for being stupid. Despite Using the damage power every age, it will pull XP from thin air to always be ready to go up a tech level when you do, meaning that if you outplay it early on, it will damage power to control the fight, and you don't get the tech advantage you earned by forcing it to do so.
