ai.type keyboard Plus + Emoji

Been using this for years. Recently, my predictive texts is more of a miss than hit. Rarely works, like right now. And a few days ago, when I try and fix a word and go back to the end of the sentence, it jumps back to the word I just fixed. Very annoying! I have to cut abd paste, to even continue what I was typing.

Overall this is very good. But spoiled recently because the word prediction has stopped working. Update 2021: after a while, prediction 'window' just goes blank. This time I decided to uninstall. Uses the backup option first. Did it twice to make sure. But when I re-installed the restore option is blanked out. Also now getting predictions in the space bar despite this being unselected. And messages to the developers for help go unanswered. So, as soon as I see something better . . .

I almost love this app. It has the potential to be the best keyboard available, and I desperately want to use it, but alas, I can't. The worst part is I contacted their support team for help and received not a word of response so now I am taking to public review...which I prefer not to do. 2 major problems I encountered. The first and most glaring is you can't turn off the auto-Emoji substitution. Secondly, I depend on the microphone for most of my texting as I have clumsy thumbs. But while there is an option to place the microphone on the keyboard, it actually doesn't appear, thus no microphone access. It seems to me that because it attempts to do so many things well, that some things just get lost and don't work. And as I mentioned, not a word from support.

Used to be great. Now the autocorrect is so poor as to be unusable: does not recognize simple words and inserts words that are not even close. Customization was great, but the configuration tools keep changing. With the last update, I opened the keyboard to find a new theme and color customization had been applied. Don't need this kind of sloppy implementation.

I've been using this keyboard for many years. ai.type keyboard is really good in the free version, but I'd recommend the purchased version. WHOLE NEW BALL GAME! There was a little stint of…. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS… but the problems were resolved in weeks. My only guess was it was under development? Server problems? All I know is that it came back better than before! This is my experience…. mine alone. I RECOMMEND THIS APP.

This is the best keyboard I have come across. The options to personalize this keyboard are unchallenged. The options to adjust this keyboard for your personal functionality are also unmatched. There are some stability issues with the word prediction portion where there r times when the word prediction just doesn't seem to work. Hopefully that gets fixed soon. I also hope the ability to change the spacebar placement is add soon.

I love the features of this keyboard, especially the arrows for navigating to correct or add letters/text. But lately the dictionary is full of non- & misspelled words, & doesn't come close to showing me the correct word. When I type 'im' it is not showing me "I'm" in the correction/dictionary line. Please fix. UPDATE: The gifs are not working. No matter which one I sekect, I keep getting the same one & it's not the one I want.

Really like this keyboard except for a few key things that really annoy me. You can't change the bottom secondary characters to something useful. Does anyone actually use those arrows? You can't move the delete key to top; I hate having it next to the enter key. You can't move the voice input key to the top. I'm pretty sure you used to be able to do this. And you can't get rid of the language on space bar. It says "English" no matter what I do.

Like the app so far but suddenly, I can't I activate the voice-to-text (microphone icon). Was working fine for few days. And voice-to-text works everywhere else on my phone. But now this particular keyboard, when I tap the mic icon....nothing happens. Was thinking something was changed in ai keyboard settings but I looked all through the options and I don't even see a setting for voice text. Please help.

I have used this app for a few years now but within the last 6 months I have noticed that they are ads that are trying to be played in the background when I am listening to audio and even when the phone is not being used it will play a very short ad for no reason and also making my volume go up and down on my phone. If anyone else is having a problem with a random ad being launched for no reason or volume going up and down on its on or about watching a video it will stop by itself, the problem was solved when I deleted this app.

VERY NICE, BUT w/GLITCHES - All layouts condusive to smooth flow. - A previously made suggestion stands: original ai.type themes are bland. A MAJOR irritant: the word suggestion/auto-correct feature is inconsistent… and that's if it isn't missing altogether. Changes correctly-spelled words (e.g. "of" to "if"). It's annoying having to consistently correct auto-correct, especially since I have the Pro version. Otherwise, an acceptable app.

I like all the features the app has to offer, so I purchased the paid version. However, this app has a glitch that is extremely annoying & they have yet to resolve it. The problem is the prediction bar constantly goes out. They gave me a bandaid method to quick fix it but I have to use their bandaid method about about 30 times a day! This has been going on for months now. I wish they would take the time to fix it

This has been my go to keyboard and has been installed on multiple smartphones since it was first released back in 2011. However, I've noticed an increasing amount unnecessary features (bloatware) are being added into keyboard without proper optimization. This has resulted in extensive lagging and a huge battery drain issue. At one point the keyboard's battery drain was almost as bad as using a GPS (with satellite imaging) or watching a 4k YouTube livestream. Recent updates have made the issue marginally better, however, the optimization issues are still prevelant. To be specific It takes forever to open and sometimes freezes the screen when attempting to close. Up until 1 month ago, i had it on a Nexus 5, Nexus 6p, Pixel 2 and Galaxy s9+. I have since been forced to switch to alternative keyboards. Again this is a shame, because I've had this keyboard ever since it first made its way onto the play store (which wasn't even called the play store then).

I've been rocking with y'all for a while now. I have been more than satisfied with the upgrades and all the options the keyboard has to offer. Question what's going on with the 8 pie error, where whenever I am in the middle of typing it goes to the screen where it says to authorize default over and over and over again? Please help ai.type team! :( Ps. What happened to the Emoji boy you could customize in the plugins menu? I got great feedback from that.

I have used this keyboard for a few years now (I bought the paid version, as I liked it so much). The customisation and selection/editing/clipboard functions put it streets ahead of any keyboard I have tried, save the newer versions of Google Gboard, which is not quite as good as Ai.Type, apart from it's speech to text function. Regrettably, now that I have a new Samsung phone with Android 10, the word suggestions and predictions do not work at all (it tries to "initialise predictions", but fails. I contacted support with this problem a few days ago, and have yet to have an answer. I appreciate that given the coronavirus it might take longer than usual for a response..but hope to hear from the support team shortly. I'm sorely missing my Ai.Type keyboard! (I'm resorting to Gboard until a solution is found)

I would give this key board a 5 star but the thing is, after a few days it starts to play up. the key board changes its settings randomly. example: I'll customize all the predictions and they seem to magically change. then when I go through it again and again everytime I select something to change it in prediction or how it feels, the tabs stick and select the wrong thing I selected like a glitch. plus uses alot of power. word correcting at top row bugs out. ai collecting personal info 2 sold4 $?

There are so many excellent customisation options and built in tools, I have the perfect keyboard aesthetically, but just like so many other reviewers have said, the keyboard is unusable because text prediction is a total mess. Everyday simple words aren't recognised and are substituted with totally unrelated words. It's been like this for avery long time. Such a shame because everything else about the keyboard is awesome.

I really want to like this keyboard, it has all the features I like, however it's just too unreliable, the British English language doesn't work & the swipe typing is very inaccurate. I emailed the support team with a video of the issues but they didn't reply. I see they only reply to positive reviews which doesn't look good for them. My guess is that people are not being negative for the sake of it, but because they want to use this potentially great keyboard, hope you're brave enough to read!

strangely suddenly the keyboard starts to auto correct completely strangely while most of these functions were off and ittworked reasonably well before, without changing anything, except being in the usa compared to normally Europe??? it merges 2 3 previous words together, dough sentence correction is 100% off. it even erases full words for no reason

I've been using this for years and until the last few months it would have been 5 stars. Lately the dictionary has turned to garbage. It's started inserting proper names, forgetting tough words like "and" and coming up with numbers from my address book. If I didn't use personal shortcuts so much I would switch to Grammerly. Maybe this one will learn its way back to 4 to 5 stars.

It worked great at first everything I was looking for in a keyboard app better than Gboard even, i thought it is well worth the small price, after about a week it started to slow down the next word suggestions that's the feature I like best, now I just type on and wait for it to catch up that's why i only gave it 4 stars, it's still a great app though.

Went to their web site yesterday to try to get some help. The SUPPORT page is GONE. Works well enough. I've tried twice in a year to find out where the saved personal shortcuts are stored to copy them into my new phone. No response both times.

Update: a.i. Type has the best large keys for an old fart like me, but it's predictions fail miserably, and I doubt it's actually a.i. I've switched to Gboard, and while it's keys are too small for me, it's predictions are earily good, making up for typos. I got tired of having a.i. randomly insert words like (real example) octopus.

I just wish you can have your personal shortcuts transfered over when you get a new phone and your bottom tow keys. The spell check isn't the greatest, but it works good. All n all still the best keyboard I've seen.

Won't stop capitalizing random words. I like the app, but even though I have "no capitalization" selected in the settings it capitalizes words and phrases all over the place. Just whenever it feels like it. I am continually deleting capital letters in the middle of sentences for no reason. I have been using AI type for five years. But I'm ready to switch to something else because of the capitalization problem

The paid version of this app isn't much better than the free version. search for emoji doesn't return all results, for example, heart doesn't even return the basic ❤, nor most of the other coloured hearts. 💕💔💖💖😍😻💓💗💘😘💌 show up though. Swipe to type seems worse in the paid version. The free version got more Correct than this version has. Sometimes it will guess correctly, but the word won't be typed in the txt box, just a blank space. Glad I only wasted $1 when it was on sale!

No email support, and the last update was 2 years ago, which tells me this app has fallen by the wayside. It's best to uninstall it and move forward. Questions? Why have many good apps been dropped by their developers LATELY? Could it be the combination of Covid related AND stricter Google rules that started with Android v10 has have a negative impact on app development?
