It's a disaster of an app. It just will not work on my tablet at all, the app constantly crashes just like the phone version. It has not worked since the recent updates. And if I try to use the browser to log on it won't authenticate my phone ever. So I have no access to online banking. As someone else said, it would be easier to change banks. It's really worrying that a bank can be so digitally inept. I am moving on as fast as possible.

Vert secure app. Even i cant get into my account. "click this link to setup your phone"-> nothing happens Use carder reader with app, click "confirm" nothing happens Click "limited access" nothing happens Im just going to use my laptop and card reader, if you didn't close our branch i would have just went there. No "contact us" section if your having problems on the app. No popup to chat to an aib agent. Really makes me want to withdraw all funds and put it in the house.

It's easier to just move banks. This is the only bank I know of that has a consensus that their online banking is shockingly bad. Simple fix guys, get a good developer scrap the card reader - everyone loses them or the run out of battery. It's a stone age device. Still can't access my account after uninstalling, re-installing, updating wash rinse repeat.

Beyond bad. Lost my card. My phone is now "too old" to run the AIB app. Can't log into my account as need TFA. Can't use card reader method as my card is lost. Rang to report card lost and need to know my last card transaction and exact amount but can't check this as can't log in. Customer service tells me to present to bank with ID. All in all a very poor online banking service. Judging by other reviews I'm not alone in experiencing this .

Completely useless I can't get any of the set up to work and I work in computers, called the bank, confirmed all my details were correct for set up and eventually got to check my balance over the phone but not my recent transactions. As soon as lockdown is over I think it's time for a new banking provider that has proper internet banking.

I updated the app and it's now is completely useless. The app redirects to log in via web browser , making the app completely pointless , then when I put in my details and authentic with my phone , it doesn't log me in and just redirects back to the log in page.

The app on tablet is unusable. Will not send text to my phone. Spent time on to customer service. Waste of my time. Update Eventually met a customer service person who knew what she was doing. There was a setting on my phone which had to be changed. The app is working okay now.

No ability to pair the phone for authentication. I can't access anything on the app. Why do I need the app installed for authentication. Surely just my phone number is sufficient. Replying to your question. There is only one app available on the store to download - that it is this aib tablet one. I don't have notifications blocked. There is no setup option in the app it just gives me the screen to pair the phone.... which is what I am already trying to do in the app.

This is absolutely ridiculous. My phone app was working fine until a mandatory update. I have a Samsung phone that is only a few years old but is apparently 'too old' for said update and am now locked out of app. Decide to use Internet banking instead but it insists I have to authenticate using the phone app!!! Download tablet app but it too needs to be authenticated by the mobile app. I am completely locked out. May change bank. This is pure incompetence

I'm amused! This is really not very good. In order to continue using Internet banking one has to download a mobile banking app, which strangely turns out to be a tablet app, which then tells you to download a mobile banking app which does not exist... so it seems finally you need to buy a new phone just in order to continue using Internet banking. It is a neat way to get rid of customers. 😆

My phone was too old for the updated app so I got a new phone and now I can't even log in! Every time I log in it just bounces me back to the log in screen. Simply awful 😕how come other banks can have decent apps and this one can't? No other bank has this many complains about an app. Can you please hire someone competent to fix this

Doesn't work. what is the point of app that doesn't work.. customer service no help..best thing is to change bank !!! Doesn't work... uninstalled reinstalled it updated my tablet and phone.... still doesn't work!!!... I now have to drive to bank to see what's in my account.. .. technical error..... useless waste of my time ..

I have to download this app, which i don't want in order to pair my mobile device so i can sign in, so i do, i open the app, try to login and I'm sent to the same page telling me to pair with my mobile, WTAF i just want to access my accounts online, why is it now impossible for me to do that!!!!! ETA I have since found out that my 3 year old phone is not supported and so i can't use an app for authentication purposes and have to use the card reader! Extremely frustrating and not workable for a

Just keep getting an SSL connection error. I'm using the "App" I downloaded from the Play Store on my phone. It also means I can't even check my balance on my browser as I require the 2 Step Authentication from my phone (which doesn't work) Seriously guys, HOW was this App released? Do you not have a QA Team at all? I'll be switching to Revolut from now on anyway.

Aib. You need to test this download in test steps yourselves. The names of the apps and matching to devices. Versus what you have written on your instruction postings. I have Android mobile phone also like another reviewer. Yet the download states tablet. This is not compatible. Now like others I can't access banking through my phone. From my laptop I can but not without my phone for the code. This is messy and clunky at best. Back to drawing board lads.

Thank you very much that finally the mobile banking has international transfer feature. It is very useful. It could be better if international transfer has saving favorite accounts function. Normally, it is hard to remember someone's international bank info.

Absolutely dreadful app. I used it trouble-free for many years then it was updated and I am unable to sign in. Due to all of the branch closures, my branch is in University Road, Belfast, so I depend on the mobile app to carry out all my banking. I'm considering changing to another bank after being with First Trust/AIB for many years.

So I take this is the only app you have? The title is a bit misleading as I use a mobile not a tablet. And the phone pairing is ridiculous, the login system in your website tells me to get the app then follow the instructions there, and when I precisely do that in my mobile it just gets to the same point the website recommends and doesn't move from there.

Awful App. I have a business phone which I use for my business transfers. This phone is a bit older but it's only used for running business needs so it works fine . I now have to think about updating my phone just for AIB. This is another expence I did not expect. I now have to carry a card reader around with me in case I need to access my banking online. Absolute joke. I can't make it to the bank as I'm running my business so I heavily relied on online banking. This is very disapointing.

Completely pointless as a result of the recent changes . App now just redirects you to browser on your tablet. Most times even that does not work.
