Slightly confusing to start with as no instructions on how to find and connect to the NAS. Eventually it showed up on the login screen. App allows basic control over the NAS but I'm not sure I'd use it instead of the web interface on a pc.
All this app is useful for is rebooting or shutting down the NAS. You can't even use it to log in and mount encrypted folders after the NAS boots up. It's been like that for years with no useful new features. Why does this app not do everything the web interface can? The web interface is totally useless on a touch screen, so even if you use this app to reboot the NAS, you have to go use a desktop browser to log in and mount any encrypted folders. Not a good user experience at all.
Doesnt wake/sleep/upload/dl ASUSTOR NAS even with lastest ADM.**Update It simply was not working. Now after new ADM install its working again. These issues need to be tested beforebrolling out new updates.
Can't connect to the server, even I key in the correct IP and passwords
This is a total garbage mobile app when run from Samsung Galaxy S8. I tried it a dozen times standing on a different foot each time but it always hung on "restarting" after the ADM download. Since I wasn't in a hurry to get this NAS setup, I even tried to submit a support ticket from within the app and the damn form fields wouldn't even take inputted text. So, I finally gave up and ran the installer from a desktop and everything progressed as it should. Don't waste your time with this app.
Push notifications refuse to be enabled. Also if you read feedback from other customers you would figure out that your implementation of reverse proxy is just plain bad. It's not just me that is asking for a better reverse proxy.
I cannot connect to NAS after latest Samsung S7 Edge's security update. It keeps circling snd never stop. I deleted the server and retried to do auto discovery but it could find the server. It's useless to me now. Update: Thank you for your feedback. The issue is now resolved and the App is working fine now. I have updated my rating.
NOT BAD AT ALL !!! OBVIOUSLY IT IS A SPACE FOR IMPROVEMENTS BUT IT'S WORKING GREAT !! BY THE WAY LOW SCORE ON REVIEWS I ASUME IS BECAUSE USERS LACK OF KNOWLEDGE !!!
Works well! Never had an issue with it. Allows you to see settings, restart/shutdown, etc. If you follow their instructions to setup remote access then it just works and it's a quick and functional app.
After updating to 3.2.4.RNN1 I can no longer connect to my NAS with any of the Asustor AI apps because it complains about authentication issues. I am running android 8.0.0 with OnePlus oxigenOS 5.0.8. from the same network I can connect via web browser using the same device, frustrating issue after so long using the apps without problems...
This seems to do pretty much everything that I've tried doing in the web UI. Let's start with 5 stars because it works as I expected with a smooth clean interface. Nice job guys.
Since the last update I'm having a problem with the apps. I am using a custom port for https and the config doesn't save each time. It goes back to 8001
Great value for money. Performs better than anticipated. Android app does need more function, like ability to eject a USB drive after a backup.
Don't buy Asus Asustor devices, they are the crappiest and less reliable nas storage solutions on the market. You'll be better served assembling your own nas storage or buying from other brand. I bought this thinking that it would be easier to have an out of the box nas solution but it always have issues. Even when they launch updates, it even gets worse and worse. I am writing this review to let other users aware that this is a really bad deal.
Sadly, it's just a read-only app with limited capabilities which puts the general purpose of it in question. The desktop web UI on the other hand is far more advanced. Why is that?
Ability to control the major functions of my NAS from a slick interface is very much appreciated. I value being able to use the app portal, very helpful. Thank you Asus Dev's 👍
Its ok. What I was looking for is to change the settings of my NAS with my phone but this seems impossible to do.
push notifications not working, test push from pc under AEC keeps loading and phone receives nothing. Update: push working again rating upgraded acordingly
Needs urgent update. 5005 configuration file error. May be related to ADM update.
The new version does no longer allow to wake NAS from sleep - how can you remove such essential function?

In the apps there is now an account section to fill out? What the heck is that? How about I just put in my username and password like I used to.

How to connect multiple Asustor NAS to AiMaster?
Contrary to the information given by Asustor, here is no "factory reset" button available in this app. That means that if you run a test setup and then want to expand the RAID or change its type, you are stuck with it forever. This makes this app - and the very expensive NAS hsrdware - COMPLETELY useless, with NO way of fixing the problem. Looks like I will be returning my newly bought 800 GBP "solution" for a refund.
