AIMS for Anger Management

AIMS is designed for Veterans and military Service members but can be used by anyone coping with anger problems. The AIMS app is based on the Anger and Irritability Management Skills online self-help course (http://www.VeteranTraining.va.gov/aims/). The app provides users with education about anger, opportunities for finding support, the ability to create an anger management plan, anger tracking, and tools to help manage angry reactions. Users can also create custom tools based on their preferences, and can integrate their own contacts, photos, and music. The AIMS app may be used alone, or in combination with the online course or in-person therapy. AIMS was created by VA’s National Center for PTSD and VA’s Mental Health Services.

Thanks for the effort but without the option to edit, delete, skip parts, etc. I was left far more angry than when I went in trying to calm down. You really need to make it more user friendly. I should be allowed to edit or delete whatever I want or omit anything I wish. Way too rigid and elementary.

A nice app that I use with clients I do Anger Management with. My only criticism thus far is the progressive muscle relaxation exercise is disappointing. The progressive muscle relaxation exercise in other VA apps such as CBT-i coach are much better. I hope this is corrected in a future update.

It seems like a half hearted attempt, like someone's boss said they needed an app by next Friday. It's easy to use but I can set a 2 or 5 min timer by myself without using an app and so can most people.

It's a very usefull apps. It helps me calm down even if just a bit everytime I'm feeling furious. The solutions this app have also helped me in calming down. Everytime I make an anger log, it feels like I'm telling or ranting out my anger to someone else except I can be more open about it since I don't have to worry about being snitched. And I can freely express my anger without having to hear some useless advices. Overall, this app has helped me in dealing with my slight anger issues.

Really great app for anger management. Offers a variety of options to manage frustration with in-built brief meditations, breathing techniques, distraction tips and techniques along with self-monitoring logs. The latter are useful to reflect what works for someone what doesn't. Thanks a lot will recommend it for my clients.
