It seems that the app has not been updated for ages. The thing is however that many of us still have the minx 100. I don't understand why cambridge audio is not interested in updating the app and ignores its clients. The minx 100 is an excellent loudspeaker but without an adequate app is almost useless. It's really disappointing Update March 2nd 2020: since the app was updated, it works smoothly and has a better interface. I congratulate Cambridge audio for the update.

The Air app has recently stopped finding new stations. I just get a HTTP 500 internal server error. As I had to do a factory reset I've lost all my favourites and can't find them again to add back. The early 2020 update said they have found a new provider and it will work for years to come. I wonder if that new provider has stopped providing...

Stopped working. Emailed CA ,they said they are aware and they are working on the problem ( yeah right ) and advised me to use my phone for Internet radio The whole idea of the Air 200 was so I can use it without the phone. Thanks for the lovely speaker and atrocious customer service Cambridge audio!

Very poorly designed app for Android, feels like an after thought. Don't know if the iOS version is any better. Control of volume, tone and EQ very clunky. Also unable to change the auto off timer.

A truly dreadful app. Works occasionally and only when it feels like connecting to the speaker. The speaker itself, an air 100 is very impressive. This app renders it mediocre

Unlike other reviewers, for me this app works with my 100 v2, but it's terribly basic... For example, am I missing something or can the presets not be renamed...? And, why are there only 10 presets?

Keeps on crashing when starting. Unable to change the default presets on my Air 100

Much MUCH better... Picks up my device now... Which is always a good start....!!!! 😳.. Thank GOD Minx have updated this.... Previous app experience was HORRENDOUS!!

Bad app for great speaker

just terrible. hire better developers

Disappointing. Connection to air200 very unreliable. Sometimes connects, sometimes doesn't. Considering this unit is £400 this isn't acceptable and let's an otherwise very good product down. To the point where I'm tempted to return it. I'm using an apple airport Extreme wireless router and the air 200 is barely 3 meters away so there's no excuses. On the plus side I like that you can add 10 presets via the app (when it connects). And I like that you can vary the volume for each station individually to counter the variation in the streaming volume of different stations. Please sort out the connectivity issues though. It's really dreadful for such a quality unit.

You seriously need to get this app to actually work. Virtually never recognises my device even when entered manually. Considering I spent £300 on this speaker the least you could do is make th3 app work. 1.9 star overall says it all really.

Spoils an excellent speaker. The actual Air 100 v2 is great, good connectivity and sound quality, but the app just doesn't work half the time. Spotify can see the speaker just fine so I know it's not the network. Cambridge could afford to be more responsive to reviews on here too.

Worst. App. Ever. You can just about get what you want done, but you have to navigate so many bugs, it's unbelievable. There is a sister app that is called Minx, also by Cambridge Audio. Use that instead. It crashes less and has less bugs and 1 extra feature.

Another user with the missing scrollbar, only goes down as far as Spotify. Good for Internet radio at least. No UPnP function!

Sim. C. May 10, 2018

Connects when it wants to which isn't very often. Spotify can see it but the app doesn't so it's not a network issue. The fact that Cambridge don't reply to comments on here tells you all you need to know.

People pay for the hardware this software runs on. Spend some money on it... It's very poor!!!!

Very simple app, very clunky with response times to the player, but it works and is functional

Nie. C. Dec 17, 2015

Used it to set up the player. Won't be using it a lot since most features are used without the app. Search function for internetradio works good.

This app is fine, seems to be getting some bad press.

Mar. B. Feb 26, 2016

Since last update on 9 December 2015 this app doesn't even work bad anymore, it just completely stops instantly after launching

Chr. C. Dec 11, 2015

The app crashes all the time and the equalizer setting has to be re-set every time you power on the unit. It's good that Cambridge have added Upnp support but it's not acceptable that after paying £300 for the speaker they provide a free media player and charge £3 to remove the ads. The Scroll bar in the menu also stopped working after two days so now I can't access anything below 'spotify' in the list. Minx hasn't been updated since 2013 so lets see if Cambridge give any support to this one.
