This version of the 2019 AF Handbook study guide for Staff Sergeant, Technical Sergeant and an Airman’s Development area is a stand-alone App and does not include a website, database, accounts, or login that sends out any information or allows the user to create accounts. All user entered information remains on the user device and no information is transmitted by the App.
Note: When you download the App and open it up, the App will begin to unpack and download all the features (flashcards, question, etc.) of the App. Do not close the App during this process. Closing the App will cause the features of the App to incorrectly download.

Decent, but could use a lot of polishing up. The audio book doesn't allow downloads unless using WiFi, as i keep getting the error that I am not connected to the internet and unable to access the audio portion, while I have full 4g LTE and an researching on my phone. I'm also curious why the U.S. Army has it on lock down, the professionalism of their TRADOC apps, but the Air Force couldn't be bothered. USAF Fundamentals was decent, but then taken off the store. Ugh.
The app is great (in theory) the fact that you have the PDG and questions and different ways to study all in one place, amazing. Unfortunately the regs are a bit out of date, the questions sometimes pop up with obvious incorrect answers when you indeed get then right, the game freezes my phone if i get too many right, and the audio book work download no matter what i do because "I'm not connected to the internet". It can be an amazing tool, just needs someone to put some work into it.
Since it's inception the apps ability to download the audio book does not function. It cannot recognize when any device is connected to the internet. Even PC based emulators.
Great resource, but horrible study tool. The practice questions don't seem to apply to the study guide, and there are tons of errors. The app layout and format are good, and if the study resources were fixed I'd give it 5 stars.
Some of the test questions/answers were incorrectly worded and compromised the results. Have not used that feature since noticing the error. Audio book is helpful.
App will not open. Force closes as soon as it tries to open. Using a Samsung Tab 3. Its a little old so app may not be compatible. No longer deployed and was able to download the app on my new phone. Took a practice test to get started and immediately noticed that the answer key to the questions are wrong and some of the questions have corresponding answers that don't match the question.
App is garbage. It is only useful for reading the study guides all other features are full of errors and mistakes. Better off paying for something else. Air Power!
I would leave negative stars if I could... 90% of the practice test questions are so stupid they give away the answer in a unrealistic manner. Or the answer is wrong. An example is a question of managing money, I clicked the only answer that has any references to finance, it said I was wrong and that the correct answer is stage 2: changing.
The audio download option doesn't appear to work. During an attempt to email the developers to repair the email was undeliverable due to not being on the address list.
It's great if you just want to read the Study Guide since other apps like PDG Promote don't offer the full text. However, do not use this app for studying purposes. I took a practice exam after reading Chapter 2, Section C and some of the answers they graded were wrong based on the AFH. For example, it asked how many troops were deployed in Afghanistan at the height of the war. AFH says 101,000. The exam says 22,000. Use PDG Promote for exam questions.
The Flash Cards have tons of errors. Needs fix pronto. Not acceptable. After reading AFH1, there are a lot of Practice Test Questions and Flash Cards that do not match the text.
Practice tests are not challenging. Some of them have some random answers and it is obvious which is the answer. I wish I could upload pictures so you can see what I am talking about, but they're are way too many.
Outdated!!! I just went to look up some information to verify answers I put on my test, and thought I had answered incorrectly, but had a hunch. I looked up current AFIs and handbooks to verify, and found several sources that proved that this app is outdated in regards to the information.
The practice test portion has many answers that are graded incorrectly. Someone needs to re-proof the practice test and use the Official Study Guide for Testing to Technical Sergeant that is published by Randolph AFB. If anyone is using this app as a sole study resource, these incorrect answers in the practice test are setting people up for absolute failure. Fix these errors or remove the app!
This app has a lot of wrong answers to some of the questions. How am I supposed to trust this app and use it to study? Some corrections definitely have to be made. Also when you select to get the 100 question test it only gives you 40 questions. I don't know if this app is helping me or not.
Audio and reading materials is awesome. Flashcards and practice test is an extreme mess.
I am glad to see an app where I can read and study from any device. This sure beats the hard copy version. And it's free!
Well i had a question i answered correctly because it was a persons name and the rest of the answers were quantity of days. The question asked "who" in a multiple choice one answer made sense and it told me i got the question wrong.
I usually have the phrase "free is free" but in this case, free can cost you 💀 This app is not a good study source. The other reviews give valid reasons why. Spend money to make money.
Test questions are not correct with answers. Found multiple questions that I know I answered correctly (per AFH) were listed as wrong.
The audio will not download or play over at all, the help feature will not open.
Looks aesthetically messy, tons of wrong answers and spelling errors. Use PDG Gold or read the book. This is awful!!

The part where you pick your rank is a little confusing, it says to pick your rank. I'm assuming because there is only staff and tech to select from, it must be the rank you are studying for?
The app will not let you download the audio files even when connected to the internet.
Great to have for the handbook, not so much for studying. I think that the whole book and the entire chapters should be added to the audio book, not just the sections of each chapter. Along with being able to pause/play from the page you're on rather than having to fall behind while trying to find your bookmark. Also, the test questions are confusing to read and there are spelling errors that make the answers seem incorrect and/or choices that are too easy to choose from.
