Air Hogs DR1 FPV Race Drone

This app is no longer functional on newer phone models. Its setup asks for you to switch to a separate network, and then resets the setup when you return to the app. It is not intelligent enough to remember where it was, or what you're currently connected to. For anyone angry that this doesn't work, know that technically you can still fly the drone using help page instructions, but the camera is never going to function. Hopefully Air Hogs gets off their lazy bums and fixes this mess.

Completely unusable; Air Hogs has known for months and can't be bothered to fix it. Even if you connect to drone's WiFi network manually before starting the DR1 app and confirm the drone assigned you a valid IP address, the app still prompts you to connect to the drone's WiFi when opened. If you leave the app to visit your WiFi settings, or even just swipe the notification shade down for as little as 1-2 seconds, the DR1 app makes you start all over and asks for WiFi again. DON'T BUY AIR HOGS!!!

The Drone is amazing it flies like a champ. Got my phone connected to the wifi of said done. BUT THE APP DOESN'T SEE THAT. It keeps telling me to connect to the wifi and come back later even though I connected like three times. When I can finally connect to the stupid app to the drone like it is suppose to I'll give it a fresh review.

App does not connect, tells me to connect to the drone wifi then restart the app but when i do that and restart app it tells me to connect to drone wifi and restart app sending me in a continuous loop. tech support told me they submitted a ticket and i tried turning data and cell signal on and off of my listed compatable device. I do not consider turning off signal to anything a fix but just wanted to know if it would work for me. unfortunately it did not.

If you just bought this drone, return it to the store. It won't connect to your phone, just keeps telling you to connect to the wifi, even if you already are. App is no longer being updated as of November 2, 2017. Check their website and FAQ under compatible devices where they state this.

Bought this drone for my son, it works great flight time is good control is good but for some reason it just will not connect to the dam app... tried turning it off and on as suggested charge is full wifi is connected to drone ect but the actual connection between app and drone does not work even though it previously did ? makes the first person view side of the item unusable any helo would be great as weve not tried it outside yet due to wheather !!

Hasn't streamed video for months. As previous reviewers have posted, it just gets stuck in a loop after connecting to wifi. It used to work so I cannot understand what has happened. Come on developer, give us a fix please!

Appalling, I bought this for its video function and then find out the app was discontinued for updates 3 years ago despite still being able to buy the drone new in stores. The app does not connect so you are unable to view video or photos. I feel very misled and would never have bought the drone. What a waste of money.

Works fine on my S8. Unfortunately it's not my drone, it's my partners and he has a Huawei Mate 10 Pro and it doesn't work. It just cycles through the wifi setup, he connects then it takes him back to the start of the setup again. Useless.

Frustrating experience till now with the app. Even after selecting and connecting to the drone in the wifi list, app keep on asking to do the same settings again and again. Camera is never connecting and I am unable to see the live streaming.

Won't allow me to proceed past the wifi connection screen on a pixel 3 or galaxy note 10+ despite both phones indicating there is a successful wifi connection. I can proceed using an iPhone XS max that I borrowed for testing. This cannot be a difficult fix Please just push an update to resolve this.

I guess I am having the same issue as everyone here. Wifi connects but the app does not recognize it so it keeps you in a loop. The drone flies amazingly. Such a shame that they do not update the app anymore.

Would not link via the wifi connection with Note 8. Would work with older Note 4. The unit does not have a very long battery life. It does fly decent and the trim controls work well.

So I got the drone and got the app had some trouble at first with it not pairing right but then I read someone's comment about making sure ur Mobil data is off and boom problem fix and then I'm off flying great app easy to use but u should add the turn ur Mobil data off to it to fix others rating can't wait to get the car and try that out

The setup will not let you get through the WiFi connecting portion. It asks you to connect the the drone, then return to the app but when you return to the app it starts the process again.

Stuck in a loop. Keeps telling me to connect to the wifi for the drone. I have and it keeps looping back to the setup each time. Can not use. Please fix this!

Same message over and over, unable to connect turn it all off and on again, after an hour trying to get it connected and a now very sad unhappy little birthday boy, we discover that neither of our phones are compatible with this app, apparently there have been no further updates to this app since 2017, yet we're still sold this drone with the promise of "live streaming the thrill of the race". Absolute waste of time and money and a ruined birthday present

Such a waste.. Send it back and ask for a refund. Not possible to use the camera as the app won't let you complete the setup. It just starts over again every time you complete the setup.

It resets the setup after you try to connect to the wifi. It's horrible. It used to work but now it's useless. I'd give it 0 stars if I could

WAKE UP AIRHOGS! All I wanted was a simple vr experience with flying. But your app keeps repeating the tutorial because it won't register that I am connecting to the damn internet. WAKE UP AND FIX YOUR APP

Excellent The only problem is that once you buy the drone and go to other countries like asia The app would not work properly because of the dr1 network servies only in england it would be helpful if you can boost the network signal nearly all over the world so the app would work and others can enjoy the drone and the app if they are in other countries As i have experienced this i would like you the air hogs compony to boost the network to the world so the app can work It would say no intenet .

The app used to be alright but now has been regulated to the forgotten pile even though the drone is still available and fun to use but the major selling point of FPV means you must keep legacy devices to use. Developers instead of replying to every negative review with "Sorry to hear about it.." why don't you update the app for new devices/OS updates! Note 9 user here.

Works fine, idk what people are saying about the internet not connecting, but it works perfectly for me, wish the video quality was better though, also i read some reviews and i got confused are people scared to just click the green check mark without doing anything?

Bought this drone for the vr feature. After downloading the app and following the steps, it asks to connect to the drones wifi. Once I connect the app resets and asks me to connect again, even though I am already connected. Dont waste your time.

Hooks up to the phone if it is plugged in and turned on. Downloaded app at weekend took a while to connect, but works fine once connected

No longer works. Cannot proceed past wifi connection step any more, app fails to see that phone is successfully connected to drone wifi signal.

Was great until my phone updated to android 9. It connects to WiFi but app thinks it's still disconnected. Please come up with an update as it was brilliant before.
