Very hard to use due to bugs. After launching the app, tapping on the air filer to change its settings doesn't work 19 times out of 20. You have to sit there tapping away like a trained monkey until finally you have luck and hit the jackpot and the POS app does what it was supposed to do the first time. Consistently aggravating.

The app is okay. From time to time need to clean cache, usually I believe after some updates. I do see some improvements lately in the app stability. You do need a good AP for WiFi stability, otherwise it's nightmare reconfiguring it every time. Major minus is for the schedule feature. You cannot turn it on via schedule and turning off is per 1-hour steps. It's Dev app laziness to put such feature in the app. As you can manage the appliance manually, you could do the same via a schedule too.

The app doesn't work properly with my philips purifier. At first I could connect it with my Wi-Fi and with the Air Matters app, but once I left home and was out of my Wi-Fi range, I lost the connection. Seriously it's quite annoying, and I'm not the only one having those issues, according to app ratings and reviews... Guys do something with it instead just writing review replies. It will not fix the problem!

Not stable at all. Sometimes can't connect to purifier, sometimes data doesn't refresh for quite a long time, but what's most frustrating is that I constantly get notification saying "please refill the water tank to sustain ..." every few minutes and I can't even read the whole message, because when I click on it, I get navigated to landing page of the app and no information is displayed there. This message comes frequently despite of the fact that water tank is almost full.

Edit: After the recent update the connectivity works good! Thank you! --- At first I managed to connect to my AC1214 Philips air purifier. And then the connection is lost and can't be reestablished or setup again. Uninstalling the app does not help. What a shame Philips makes people pay 20% extra for something that is not tested and does not work.

This app should be taken off the market. I'm using it with Philips air purifier. The app only works momentarily, after a while it can't even connect to the air purifier. The only way you can use it again is by uninstall-reinstall, and it keeps going like this, over and over. It is a defected and unreliable app, and renders the air purifier's connectivity feature useless. So that's it, returning it to Philips. The dev replied to my report but they don't take any action so far.

Great and clear design. However, half the time it struggles to connect with my Philips purifier so I can't see any data or change settings. When it IS connected it's slow to update the air quality number. Finally, I've never once seen my "data history"; it continually shows a "loading" symbol.

All the time the devices have to be reconnected. The reconnecting of the devices it's really difficult. You get constant errors (when you want to conect the device to Wi-Fi) and you have to take the process from the beginning. Some time if you unplug the device helps reconnecting it faster. Please do something about this.

It connected to my Philips 3000i fine 1st time, and controls worked well. Since then the app has been completely unable to connect to the device. I then tried the iOS app from my iPad, and this connected OK, however the data does not match the display on the device, and none of the controls worked. Useless.

This app is completely useless for controlling an air purifier. I've managed to connect to my Phillips AP twice. Most of the time it just says "connecting" and do not show any status apart from that. I think this is one of the reasons that people are switching to cheaper Xiaomi Purifier instead of using better Phillips ones.

Awful. It was bad when I first installed it, lost connection to my device at least once a day but could be "fixed" by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Now it's even worse. Device is shown offline most of the day, even though it's connected. And Air Data isn't refreshed in real time as before, but only once in a while. Gotten almost useless now, the Device can be handled better without it. Really should be overhauled. This has nothing to do with "Smart Home" anymore, rather "stupid home"!

SO GREAT. Been using AirVisual for over a year, that app was absolute perfection until it stopped working today. This one is almost that good. Lacks the ongoing notification icon being the AQI number instead of an unhelpful triangle-at least if I pull down the tray I can see it but I really need the icon to be the AQ. In Asia the AQ is more vital than the time and I needed it displayed as a number next to my clock that way in any app I can glance up at it at any time to see if I need my mask on.

I live around a lot of wildfires and air quality is a real concern, being able to check AQI is as important as checking the weather. I wanted a widget so I downloaded a ton of apps so I can test them all and pick the best. This one had the best widget options. A single 1x1 works good, and that's what I had in mind but the AQI 6-day forecast 4x1 widget was impressive and useful so I'll definitely be using that, it's worth the home screen space for me. I'd recommend this.

Once you get it installed and appliance connected it works quite well, giving detailed information as regards air quality inside and out. I say connected therein lies the issue with this app, as it has a tendency to lose it's connection with your appliance causing you to have to delete the app and re-install it, which is a little tedious.

Since 2017 (no idea about 2019, I didn't actively use the app then), the app worked wonderfully. Since some time, I can't access my AQM anymore (to either see details, or access screen dimming function of my AQM). When I click on the device details in the app, the app simply crashes. This behaviour has been persistent for more than half a year now. Report sent already. No longer being able to dim screen keeps device temp at about 27°C, which voids the temperature reading validity.

As a subscribed premium user, I would like to report a serious issue that I hope will be fixed promptly. I own Philips AC3858/50 and if power loss happens (or unplug it temporary from the outlet), the application no longer know about my device after the power is back! It asks me to connect the device and go throught the setup process again. It is obvious that this power loss is happening regularly, maybe weekly, so it unusable and user-not-friendly to ask me that.

Widgets will not resize properly with Samsung Note 10+ nor the S10+. I assume they won't scale with many other newer phones of similar or same dimensions. Please fix this problem, it is very annoying. Otherwise, I would give it 5 stars. I do not connect the app to any owned devices. Otherwise, it looks like a 1 star app with excellent intentions!

It's useful but I've problems connecting with the Philips AC3829 combo when not connected to the same Wi-Fi network, the problem doesn't occur on the iPhone 8 Plus. Also both phones cannot toggle the notifications (after toggling, pressing done on the settings page and getting back it is still off, android logs `callback command 29 status 1` debug message in adb when using the toggle), iPhone is getting notifications even with toggle switched off (also cannot toggle the switch).

App had to be deleted and reinstalled EVERY time my Philips purifier was powered down for any reason, but now it's gone one better, and won't reconnect at all. It keeps telling me to go on PHILIPS SETUP in the WiFi settings, but there is no such thing. Now can't control the purifier from bed anymore - have to go to it and switch it manually. For a £400 piece of kit, this is pathetic!

Useless, barely manages to add the device and can't connect at all later on Update: login regularly fails, pairing fails. Reconnecting after you unplug the device, replug andbturn it on fails. Some features of the device is available only via this app. With recent app update, even the image of the device disappeared from the app.

The app works fine, but very disappointed with the limited possibilities for controlling the Philips air purifier. Can't even setup a simple time schedule..? An export of the history would also be very welcome. Too bad the communication seems encrypted and is not documented, but that's most likely Philips to blame (and not the app devs).

Joh. M. Dec 6, 2020

It worked for 2 days, and then it stopped working at all. It stopped updating the status of my purifier, and stopped responding to input. It Ive tried reinstalling it and it stays the same. Really disappointed that philips recommend their app, when the philips hue app is actually good Edit: also, as of right now it just says my purifier is offline, while the purifier says it's connected.

The app itself would be fine, if not for the completely broken Phillips air purifier integration. I have a brand new series 1000i purifier 1214/10, and a Samsung S9+ phone. In the 2 days I have the purifier, it lost connection and had to resync it with the app 5 times. The connection is lost at random, and both devices are very close to the router, so network connectivity is not an issue to blame. If this is not fixed in the next 5 days I will be returning the purifier and will be telling all my interested friends [Poland has a huge market for air purifiers right now] to avoid Philips, as paying an additional 50 euros to have so called connectivity is useless, as it is based on a incredibly faulty app. I've already submitted 4 diagnostic reports through the app, but nothing has changed, as I see is the case with most customers reviewing the app here.

BOB. B. Nov 6, 2018

The connection between phone and my philips air purifier is poor. It takes way too long to get the connection. This definitely need to be improved. I do have some doubt on the air quality status of different cities listed in the app.

I am disappointed by lack of automation. Iftt or similar is must. I want setup app to start purifier depending on external environment automatically. It is fully manual experience through phone... Still not even after 2 years integration with smart assistants. Switching to xiaomi. Cheaper, good and integrated.
