Terrible. I am a New Zealand Citizen and can use a phone easily bit the check in process took me well over an hour. They have charged me again for seats i had already paid for and the credits are difficult to use. I have had better experiences with Jetstar (and they are bad)
There's a persistent bug where I'm prompted to sign in to the app, it doesn't accept my saved password, I reset the password, & the new password generates an error message when I try to sign in. I now can't sign in to the app or the website. Infuriating.
Frustrated to be confronted by so much info yet not have my basic question answered. Would appreciate a person to speak to who can guide me through on line options & confirm everything is ok. (Previous booking officer cancelled the wrong flights & never checked changed flights with me so nervous everything was correct.)
Cannot log in despite changing password twice. Have uninstalled app. Will not be reinstalling based on comments here. Needs to be reliable. Needs to be convenient. Is neither of those things. Update, as of 05/01/22, STILL cannot log on. What the hell Air NZ!!!
Just Plain Doesn't Work. Doesn't update changed flights. Crashes. Won't log in. Just hangs when you try. Support/help files are literally non-existent.
Can't give 0 stars. Had a flight at 645 and because of the app checking in at 618 was to late. Because of these 3 minutes I was forced to pay for another ticket. I cannot express how unfair and how much anger I have towards this but where I live there is no choice. This app and everyone involved deserves to catch covid.
This app used to work fine prior to 2021. Now it will search but brings up a HTTP ERROR 500. I have uninstalled & reinstalled...but no hopeless. Using updated Google Chrome as browser.
UX could be better to make it easier to see flight details. As a frequent flyer I want to minimize the time it takes to see the most relevant info of my upcoming flight. Right now the app shows past and future flights. It's easy to get lost on flights while scrolling left/right. The app does not default to the next flight when opened. This caused me to mix up times on the same flight on different dates. A $100 error caused by small dates/text and a confusing interaction design.
I don't mind dealing with Air New Zealand as long as I can get through to make changes and get a credit for flights that are not able to be taken. But not taking responsibility for motel bookings attached to our flight bookings is not on...any amount of discount for the hassle it is to deal with them is not worth it. Expedia is a nightmare to deal with...that's if you can get through to them after waiting for hours on the phone. Had to hang up after an hour and a half as mobile battery went flat!
This app is a complete waste of time if you want to book a flight. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it, sent an email to the development crew and given direct verbal feedback to air nz staff and they haven't fixed this bug. Try to book a flight and it just keeps returning to the "where from" dialogue box. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Come on air nz. Fix this.
Pretty much useless. Apart from displaying your flight information, everything else links to their website. Some links are also broken, which is great. It doesn't display info about inflight WiFi as per what their website claims. It's also not possible to check in online where we live. Notifications are only displayed when you open the app. Overall, pretty useless.
Very frustrated with Oscar ... I just need a replacement airpoints card.. it is a simple request. Air nz just needs to sort it and send me a new card. If necessary issue me a new airpoints number that actually works. Tired of excuses and delays
Another slow bloated App. Needs a complete rewrite and all the coffee ordering things and other notifications need to be removed or reduced as this just wastes our time and battery. Is it so hard to order a coffee in person or are you all to lazy.
Generally ok, but accessibility is an issue at times, which is frustrating when wanting to lock down a booking.
Disgusting unreliable airline. Book a flight don't actually expect it to go ahead they just cancel constantly and steal your money. Issue useless credits that you have to pay extra to use
The help function does not work. No good when it's impossible to contact Air New Zealand by phone and there is no email function. Worst airline.
Unable to put put a bid in fir an upgrade, unable to change a domestic flight. Unable to get through to Aur New Zealand via land line. Fantastic airline, BUT support services are not good at all.
Was ok until the app didn't work and the website went down while trying to change a flight now im stuck on hold for 2 hours trying to get my money back for a flight that I can't use
I can't login, can't update, can't look at flights, have tried everything, might have to wait over an hour on the phone to get someone to help
It'd be great if you were able to see a list of any credit notes and their remaining balance on your account somewhere on the app. It would also be nice if when you went to redeem them you could just check them from the list according to their value and/or expiry date imminence. Airbnb have recently implemented something similar on their app Without these features one has to remember which credits still have values outstanding along with the expiry dates
I can't believe how bad the AirNz service is . Trying to talk to someone is near impossible. 1hr30 minute wait at 10.30 at night !! Questions on app take you round in circles .
Unfortunately, my app won't let me log in. My login "session expired" nearly two years ago, and no amount of updating seems to help.
First-time user, here. Got a new phone for Xmas and downloaded the app last night to book an international flight. Everything went smoothly and when I was finished I went looking for all the features that are promised in this app. I eventually found them all, but wasted a lot of time clicking links. Why not have them all listed and linked on the startup screen?
