Was forced to use the app because apparently this is the only way people can check in online anymore. The AirAsia website check in page will direct you to install the app. I won't mind it so much if the app was smooth and easy to use. My experience so far as been negative. The app loads very slowly, disconnects often, requires to reenter information over and over again among other things, The face reader is terrible, spent half an hour just to get it done. Can't believe it's called "Super App".
I had 3 flights with air asia during my trip, all 3 were changed which could be normal, but the last one was changed to 2 days later, which made me miss a part of my trip with no option to rebook anything for the original date. The worst part is i have received absolutely no info about the chabge. I have lost my other flights, accomodations, and an experience i was looking forward to. There is no way to get in touch with them except the useless bot chat that does nothing useful.
Change of flight timing without consent, and without alternative options. Non-existent customer support, except for the primitive chatbot that could not understand simple english sentence. Forced to sign up to this app using my personal details just to get my boarding pass during self check-in. Not recommended to take airasia flight as other budget carrier seems to have better support despite similar price.
Very frustrating using this app. My latest encounter with this app was, when i wanted to view my booked itinerary, the app did nothing after I selected "Itinerary". I answered twice to confirm "leaving this page" but then nothing happened after that. I then had to login in thru web browser and went deep into the pages to find the itinerary, also with that stupid question on "Airasia India".
I have never gotten a single ride before with this app. I've been using it for months now and I've NEVER EVER gotten a single ride! I even added tips but there are still no drivers at all! I've waited more than TWO HOURS and I still got NOTHING! It might sound sarcastic but it's the TRUTH. I've seen cars with the AirAsia tag on it but I've never even gotten on one before. I only wanna use this app when other apps are too expensive but this does NO HELP at all. Extremely disappointed.
The app experience really bad. I tried to use Ride app so many times but it stuck in a loading loop. One time it charged to Bigpay and Rider cancelled the ride. Now money is still in pending state, when I tried to call your executive they mentioned it'll credit to account after 10 days and it's not yet credited. Really disappointed with experience.
One of the most FRUSTRATING apps I've ever been forced to use. They threaten you with a check-in fee if you fail to check-in online prior to the travel time, but the online check-in doesn't work- the page freezes every time. Also, the contact details listed on my account are someone else's!? It's a scam as far as I'm concerned. I have no other way to check in, so they'll charge me whatever fee they like otherwise I'll miss my flight. Also the facial recognition doesn't work at all. AVOID!
Simply trash, the app keeps denying my perfectly valid payment card and when I try to pay again, it's stuck on a perpetual loading loop. So now I can't check in due to unpaid transaction, I can't pay due to it declining my card, and I can't retry due to the perpetual loading. A crazy never ending loop. The worst of all, they removed any semblance of contact information so you can never talk to an actual person anymore. They know the app is broken and they have no plan on listening.
Been using this app for years now, and recently it's been annoying that it takes forever to get to a customer service representative, will have to tolerate the chatbot before submitting a ticket for actual support. Takes very long to get a refund even if Airasia where the ones that cancelled the trip, and already agreed to use credit account but still takes forever to get an update
The lack of competitors shows, and this app is a testament to that, among various other things. The UI feels so cluttered, and filled with things i dont actually care about. navigation is so convoluted, at least thats how it feels like. Trying to contact customer support is a pain. For an airline company that is rather popular, the only tool they provide their customer base with is a not very I, AI. No call centers, nothing.
They've been 'verifying' my profile for the last 3 months now. Their add credit card does not work, every time I want to add a card, I am greeted with a very bad English error message, 'Error happen, please try again later', in my head the app is telling me, error bro. AirAsia clearly thought all they have to do is make a half arsed app, and the whole of Malaysia will kneel infront of AirAsia. Their fare is about the same as Grab, but their user experience is 10x worse. Don't waste your time.
I really tried to support Air Asia but this app is making this difficult. It's getting messy, slow, filled with annoying apps. Arbitrarily switches selected payment methods without warning and won't let me add my credit card saying "wrong card number" all the time. I'm tired with this. I'm trying to help AA recover after Covid mess but this app is just too tedious to work with.
USELESS! I wouldn't even give them 1 star. I put my dates in, airports etc and I'm just confronted with a blank page. I even uninstalled & reinstall! Same deal! But I can book a the same flight I want with them through Skyscanner! Retarded!
Able to book and paid, but unable to show check in once click. It hang or loading forever. Close open stop all not helping. Used airasia assistant to check in and show barcode to print out from self kiosk. What happen to the airasia point after check in after taking off plane?
Flight check-ins can only be done in the app now but the app ain't even running smoothly and it takes forever to load the check-in page 💀💀 please ensure that the app is completely smooth before your customers miss their flights just because they can't check-in on time because of how slow it is running right now
An ambitious app that tries to do too many things ... Should focus on doing less but perfectly 1. Button says check in but click it and says can't find booking.. you need to manually key in and check in 2. Air Asia ride can't add credit card. Cash only.
Rubbish app, tried to book car via using apps however the car is always no respond. Besides that, the app respond is very slow and most of the time is out of waiting time. I need to restart the app. Airasia service become worse and worse.
Unreliable app. Printed luggage tag at kiosk but check in code doest appear in the app. Could not do self baggage drop off and had to queue back in a long line for manual drop off. Very frustrating.
Worst app ever existed. I'm not one to write app reviews but this app is just ridiculous. Airasia website forces you to use their app to check in now that Web check in is no longer available, but 1) the app doesn't display my booking details and I have to manually search for it 2) the app lags so much it takes at least 10 tries to view the QR code 3) the QR code doesn't work at the self check in kiosk and I have to go to the counter to check in 4) it makes life more miserable than convenient.
While the rides are so much more affordable than Grab which is doubling it's rates, I can't seem to add my debit card. After adding and saving details of my card, it is not updating at booking screen and I end up paying cash. AAsia, please look into this and also the app is a bit slow to load when I need to book a ride. You need to stay relevant as Grab is crazily increasing their prices and it is daylight robbery! Pls. keep it smooth Air Asia! Thanks you for your affordable rides!
No star at all for the app. Book for the flight and select value pack, select meals, select seats for both flight but after payment there's no seats were shown in the itinerary. So I paid for the seat but not show in the itinerary? How can this unhappy experience already happened before the flight? Try to add on but there's no place you can click to add on. What's this??
Terrible app. I came here to search for AirAsia Flights, yet I'm given a bunch of nOn-airasia flights. The sort and filter is always resetting, and so annoying that you have to set it every time you search forflights.Moreover, the super+ deal is not a deal at all but a scam. Unable to redeem flights as they are always unavailable or either all slots for your chosen date of travel is already used up. Refund request are always a disaster and a nightmare of experience. This airline is just doomed.
The worst app ever with the company being the dodgiest with flight bookings and refund when they cancel flights. Beware, this app is for the travel agency of Airasia. The chat function is ridiculous for wait times and times out when you finally get your turn to chat with an agent. They close cases without resolving the issues and you have to start all over again. It's nearly months since I asked for a refund, yet to hear back and case was closed so had to start all over again.
Very reluctant to give even 1 star. Airasia should've stick to web check in instead of forcing apps check in. Face ID scan is compulsory but does not work and the app took a long time to load. Had I known that air asia check in procedure is very tedious, I would've book another flight. This app is a total waste of time and so not worth the effort. I hope they still allows on counter check in, because I don't think I can actually check in for flights using this app.
Such a waste of time especially when you tried so many times for face scan and then comparing it to an old ID photo for verification. Then in the end they gave you an option to skip and continue check in when it should have been asked beforehand without going through the hassle! It was good alrdy before this when you just check in via website. Not very user friendly.
Reschedule my flight and informed by email but the apps time is remaining the same. It's really confusing I don't know which I should follow...so more I booked two person ticket but you separate my seat, what for I book for two person? ridiculous, if u want earn more then dont sell cheap flights and it's nt cheap recently too. please hire a better IT for your algorithm.....Your apps ruin your reputations... terrible
There was no option to purchase checked in baggage more than 24 hrs before the flight. AVA wasn't helpful either, it only has options to purchase for a seat or a meal, but none for checked baggage. If it is airline policy, better to state it so people will understand. Also, when changing the flight details, it takes sooo long and sometimes lags. I'm starting to think of not using the entire airline because using the app is not seamless.
It's hard to find ticket now and the apps is so slow, we can not look for flexible date, sometimea we want to compare rate and we have to back from begining to choose date. I prefer the last apps.
Shutting down the services on browser and forcing customers to use this super app while the app itself still has a lot of problem including bugs and confusing UI. Definitely a Super "Bad" App with the super bad flight experience with AirAsia. The worse is I can give it only 1 star, not 0.
Terrible experience. Airline requires you to use it to check in online, but it doesn't work. An hour in and I am unable to view my boarding pass. I will definitely think twice when I book my next flight. If you only could check in via the website then you'd have a choice if something doesn't work. But forcing users to an app, and then the app doesn't work is probably as bad as it gets in terms of a customer experience. I hope Tony reads this and reconsider...
