Airbag Recall
Under the oversight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 19 automakers are recalling vehicles with certain types of driver and passenger airbag inflators.
These inflators are at risk of rupturing in the event of even a minor accident. Airbag ruptures have sprayed shrapnel into drivers and passengers--resulting in at least 11 deaths in the U.S. and hundreds of injuries.
While the recalls are national in scope, NHTSA has ordered automakers to prioritize replacing airbag inflators in older vehicles that have spent time in geographic areas of the U.S. with persistent heat and high absolute humidity. Research performed by NHTSA has shown that if your vehicle has spent time in a place with high heat and high humidity, you may be at greater risk.

For those of you complaining of camera issues. The app does not ask for permission to use it. You have to go to settings in your phone, then to app settings and search for the Airbag Recall app. Scroll down to permissions and enable camera (some phones also require storage permission.)
It's a good app but I wish it would show the vin# of the vehicle when you type in the license plate number that would make this app so much better and I would give this app 5 stars !!!
App has been down for over a month, and all the emails sent go unanswered
My SUV had recalls from the dealership would have never known if it wasn't for this app.

I'm a Recall Coordinator for Honda. This app is wonderful for quickly inputting plate numbers to determine I the vehicle has airbag recalls. I only wish they would take a couple steps out to make it quicker to input the plate and get results as sometimes a few seconds us all I have to get the plate # as I drive by cars

not really functional. using galaxy s7 edge plus. every first vin is easy to enter and work with, but when hitting :back: key to get to vin (2run another vin) the vin entry window drops too low to see. only fix is to restart app every time. if ocr capabilities were added, it would expedite the process. going forward with :check another vehicle: produces the same negative result
