Aircraft Recognition - Plane ID
A great app for aircraft enthusiasts and curious plane spotters alike.
With this app you can identify over 100 commercial jet airplanes. You can filter by features of the aeroplane, such as the number of engines or wing position. You can see high resolution images of each aircraft and a brief description with technical information such as variants, engines etc.
Use this app for:
- Plane spotting
- Aircraft spotting
- Aircraft identification
- Airplane information
At the moment the app only has commercial jet aircraft. I have plans to increase the number and variety of aircraft listed in the app. If you have any suggestions please feel free to get in touch.

If you notice any errors with the aircraft data you can submit a Github issue or fix it yourself and submit a pull request.

Good for basic identification but it does not include a lot of military aircraft, helicopters, or smaller commercial manufacturers. I'd like to see more. Maybe a comparison and/or recognizable features aspect as well
Great app for identifying common aircraft scene today. 1. Very nice break down for positive iding airplanes or jets, single engine, or multi, high wing or low. Etc. 2. Good Pertinent info profile of each plane. 3. Great links to more research material online. 4. NO POP UP ADS! Thanks for putting this app together!
Doesn't go anything like as far as it could, stopped asking questions after number of decks and still had from A319 to B777 as possible aircraft so pretty useless. Has pictures so that helps a bit.
whenever you want to go back you have to close the app and open again. sometimes when there's only one available option it still shows you.
If you love civil aircraft, you will love this app. Great for aircraft spotting. There are very few missing aircraft.
Add Military aircraft such as F4, F15, Eurofighter Typhoon, Tornado, F105, F16, F14.. Overall this is a great app which is more reliable than googling the specs of an aircraft.
Good info. But this app really needs update. Most new and latest planes are not available.

Great app (so far), everything I needed. The only complaint that I have is the same one that many people had: the lack of aircraft. There are still quite a few aircraft missing, but I hope to see more updates. Good job so far!
This app is really great and has a lot of facts but I can see that it has the A318 A319 and A321 but it is missing the A320.

I think this app is great but it should showyou how a similar looking aircraft is different to another one and besides I already know all the aircraft😂
Hoping it would be for all aircraft. I guess I didn't read it thoroughly. We it includes more single engine aircraft I may revisit it.
Cool idea, but a few more filter options should be available, including winglet type and gear configuration. Additionally, the data should be updated, as it is already two years past 2017, and the 737-max has already been developed.
