If you can't put in a frequency to navigate by, and there is no option to do so, then this app is useless.
Great simulator to learn how to use a VOR
There is no button to enter the VOR freq. (I'm a CFII, btw...) there is some mystery VOR somewhere, the cdi centers on the 53/233 radial and the to/from flips appropriately but I don't see anything stating which VOR it is or where I can dial in a new one. Samsung Galaxy s5. I don't hate it I just can't use it. I've tried tapping, sliding, and swiping every way with one finger and with two. No luck.
I tried installing it on multiple (Samsung) Devices. Works GREAT on my Tab2-7.0 (Android 4.2.2) Does NOT work on my phone (Android 4.4.4) nor on my Tab S-8.0 (Android 6.0.1) On the Tab2 The Menu Tab is provided, alongside the (Software provided) tablet operating selection keys. On the phone and Tab S, hardkeys replace the software keys and NO menu button is provided (prolly TRIES putting them under the bezel) Without that menu key, the app is useless --- too bad, cause the app is great when it works -- works better than the real device in the airplane (cuz it isn't distance restricted) Fix that problem and you have a winner
I am 1600 meter from a VOR sation and the app do not see it. Will buy it if free ver work otherwise it is crap. Not even 1 star.
I can use this app as a flight instructor. For in-building use , let it be possible to give a dummy position or a wifi position.
More modern smartphones no longer have a dedicated MENU button, making it impossible to tune any VOR, which brakes the application completely. If/when the app is fixed by adding a menu button I'll give it more stars.
Doesn't work now . When you want to select a VOR it takes you to a click bait site trying to install Clean Sweep.
It has no ability to put in a frequency, though you can select nearby VOR's by name. Other than that, works tolerably well.
This worked well on my nexus s but I can't get the tune nav to work as it keeps crashing on my nexus 5 - every time.
Installed on my S5, Note 8 and Note 10.1 without sucess. Same with the ADF ptogram. No menu. Shows I have a fix but no green text as show.
I have installed it on my redmi-2 mobile. It doesn't give me any menu options even when gps lock is available
Really easy to use and very well presented. Have used in the air and is perfect. An invaluable backup instrument. Recommended.
I love this app. So easy to use while flying. Found it useful to the check you position on the map tuning in another vor without de-tuning the acft instruments
I had to uninstall and reinstall to get the app to tune, but now it works fine!
Seems like it would be a good app but I can't get to the menu on my Galaxy S5.
Worked fine till last update. Cant access menu now. Deleted and reinstalled, no help. No way to get to menu. Galaxy S6.
Works just fine. I kept trying to turn the obs before I realized you just turn the card. I like it!
Neither the free nor the paid app work. Please avoid until problem is resolved
Looks like a great app but can't get the menu to work on any of the Sensorworks apps on Samsung S5.
Nailed it! Works great with Nexus 7 2013. No frequency to tune (this isn't a radio receiver!) so select from a list of nearby VORs. Great solution.
It does not work with my samsung5.No data base.
Nice depiction, but unusable on LG G3 without frequency setting menu! Seems to have not been updated in 2 years.
A few instructions would be useful. Local database takes a minute or so to be located
This app has never worked on my Galaxy note II a friend uses it on his Galaxy S4 and it works perfectly, it switches off as soon as I select a beacon
Is the list of VOR DME up to date? Will you add an IDENT feature to "hear|" the VORs Morse code please. Thanks
Can't select the station not even have the database to switch to the station we wanted to flight.
I can't tune it VOR frequencies on my Samsung Galaxy S6. Worked perfectly on my S3. Why?
Thanks to another persons comment I found the menu on my Samsung S7 Edge. Just press and hold the back button. (duh) Not intuitive, but, it works, and so does the app!
