Thanks to Airmate flight planning tools, you will get instant access to airport data and aviation maps worldwide and up to date weather and NOTAMs.
IFR and VFR airport plates are freely available in US (FAA charts), all Europe, and more than 200 other countries. Many of them are georeferenced and could be overlaid on the aviation chart. A powerful Plate Manager allows to download in advance all airport plates in a country, they could be easily printed and viewed.
During the flight, the moving map will display the aircraft location along the route, show airports and aeronautical data details. A profile view is available to display terrain elevation across the route. Airmate includes a worldwide aeronautical database updated free of charge with airports, navigation beacons, waypoints, airways, regulated and restricted areas. Topographic maps and elevation data for most countries may be downloaded free of charge, as well as additional aviation map overlays such US Sectionals.
Airmate will also record your flights and allow to replay them later or export the flight path in gpx format.
A Satellite map display mode in flight planning or replay mode allows to familiarize with significant landmarks.
Airmate will save planned and flown flights, user waypoints and user aircrafts in the cloud and sync them between your devices.
Airmate brings numerous social features to the community. Pilots may leave ratings, tips and comments to share their experience with fellow pilots, and report fuel prices and landing fees. They could find friends, instructors, flight schools, aviation events and aircraft to rent near their home airport or any visited airport.

Great App I just downloaded this app yesterday and I love it, it has everything I was looking for maps and you can create a flight plan with the maps you need, I am a SIM PILOT and I can use this for my flights, right now I use Real Flight Simulator. There two issues that in having with this app, the first is when you click on a certain feature it crashes the second problem is when you type in your aircraft information, it keeps on giving you the same image with a different aircraft.
This app seems amazing with how intuitive it is and the charts are very easy to download and then find. The only problem I have is that I can't connect to xplane 11. So until that is fixed it is two stars because it's just a very pretty brick until I can use it to flight plan.
Amazing app.. truely professional. I use this app on both Android and iOS. I have just one need from the developers. That is, the app experience in android, it is not as smooth as in iOS (ya i understand). The app frequently shuts down by itself in android and makes it difficult to use. I hope this thing gets rectified and allow a great experience in the app.
Great app. In flight mode it's unstable, stops showing the plane or just stops flight mode and I have to restart it. I'm based at an airfield without metar, would be great to show weather info of nearby airports. Could also show NOTAMs. Could also have weight and balance and fuel planning. Good job!!
This is a really nice app and certainly does absolutely everything you need. However, I have tried everything to get this to connect to Xplane 11 but it just won't connect? Should be a simple plug in for the resources folder in xplane and bingo. Please fix this
The app was very helpfull, but most importantly it was free!!!!!!! Thanks a lot for providing the navigation details for free. Loved it.. The app crashes once in 10 times at the loading screen for my phone.. Other than that the app is amazing
I looked into many free and paid flightplanner. Airmate is by far the most convenient one for smartphones. Works perfect for me and is very stable. It has a big choice of free downloadabe charts and works fine offline.
Looks very nice but unfortunatrly keeps stopping when you select an airport and won't load Weather or NOTAMs (UK) so not really usable on Samsung (Android) ### Took a very long time to upload WX and even longer for NOTAMS (2wks...) but seems to be working and updating fine now. Will try in air after lockdown...
I often get download errors for charts in the app on my tablet, and it is really annoying. It's wonderful when it works though.
I have been using Airmate since 2019 & it is great except for the info bar text font at the top being too small to read easily in flight even on my 10 inch tablet.. I'd also like the ADSB display from Skyecho 2 as well. I understand this is coming but when?
Excited about app until after trying to register a dozen times and log in, I get the invalid log in sign. You may require some extra letters or numbers for various boxes but could not find information.
The app is nice but it keeps crashing very often. i can create a new landing field but it doesn't show in the terminal or initiation point.
I wouldn't say this app is perfect but it serves its purpose with flying colors. Great interface. I would like to contribute to this app by sending updated plates of our country
Could not register. Tried 3 times, kept being told it was invalid. Was not trying to Login, I was trying to register a new account. Can't rate the program because it never let me past the registration screen.
It's nice overall, but I have some problem for opening certain airports' chart, for example, it's totally blank when I select the plates of TISX ,may I know what's the problem here ?
The manual refers to Browse the map. Why is this facility not there. I can't plot on the map...just airfields
Would like to start by saying what a fantastic app! I'm using it for MSFS 2020 instead of the in game VFR map, which I'm convinced is the culprit for all the CTD's I'm experiencing (Xbox). Thanks again for an excellent "FREE!?!?!" app!
Notams and weather does not load. It also does not show basic information such as runway length or LDA . Those fields are just blank.
Cannot delete way points, if you select delete they only disappear for that route, try another route and way point is still in map. Difficult to use.
Please help to allow my flight to be recorded and saved in the app. I flew just now and it did not record the flight. when i check the history it says no flights recorded.
I'm using it on android and ios. I'm experiencing some random restarts of the app. Apart from that it's a fine app. It will probably need a bit of polish on ios version.

I gave a scathing review when it wouldn't accept my email. Waited a day and registered with no problem. Who knows.
Edit: AirMate support contacted me and has provided me with quick and thorough support. Almost everything has been resolved, with the help provided I have the result I was hoping for. The free maps are there, most functionality works as designed, the airac data is a glitch that will be fixed soon. Keep up the good work, this shows a lot of potential.
