I used the app on my Samsung S10 Note Plus, and did not have any problems at all. I was able to see the air pressure setting and make adjustments. My AirMini has never provided adequate pressure to breathe comfortably. This app quickly helped me see that the original clinician settings did not work properly. The ramp was set to start at 4.0 and get up to 7.0 in "Auto Ramp". The problem was that it never left the starting pressure of 4.0. Using the app, I turned off the ramp function. All good
The app itself works well enough, really wish there was a way to export the data. I actively manage my therapy and not having data is challenging. The bluetooth link implementation is clumsy. Device wants to stay connected full time no matter what I do. This leads to a heavy power drain on my phone. I don't have time to go into into settings and force stop the app or any of the other things that people have come up with. I'll just uninstall the app for now and reinstall later if I need it.
The app does what it is supposed to do however there is a lot of room for improvement. It would be nice to have long term stats. It would be nice to have it connected with Google for to report sleep times. It would be nice if I could change the pressure. Reminders for filters would be nice. One issue I noticed is that it can take a day before it shows the data from last night. I usually use autostart and not the app to start therapy. There is no button to force a sync with the device.
Beautifully designed UX, connects to Bluetooth fast and reliably. Good quality instruction, voice, and simple. The bad: will not give the end user much more that a dumb total score that based on an absurd formula which shows the break down. Got a way too high a score... for a one minute usage for example. I honestly just want a CSV export but at the very least i should be able to take a screenshot (i cant believe they blocked this). Need a month dashboard and best & worst night with details.
This app is garbage. If I get up during the night for a bathroom break it disconnects from Bluetooth and requires me to reauthenticate, same thing every time I power it on at night. Techs are useless, poorly trained and read from a script. Resmed has no professional backbone to step up to the plate and address the problem with the app developer - sad really. The actual machine is really good. Would be better if I could access it through the app.
Unreliable Bluetooth connection. Tried on different phones & tablets and connection constantly drops out despite other Bluetooth connections working ok. When it works it's ok but really only records data related to time you wear it. That means you can get a good score just because you wear it for 7 hours per night. No context or data on sleep quality.
It is very limiting for the patient not to be able to see more information on their therapy than a daily view. We should have a daily, weekly and monthly aggregate view. Also the pressure reading at the bottom tells me nothing. When using APAP I don't know whether it's P95, P90 or average pressure over the night. The machine itself is great. But the app leaves much to be desired.
So the stats are nice. It's good to see the quality of your sleep, especially for me when training. However, i travel a lot. I live in Australia and when i setup the machine, it registered AU timezone. Now when i travel to EU for instance, it only counts the hours slept after 12pm Australia time!! So checking in the morning i see 2/3hrs sleep, even after a whole nights rest. There is no where in the app to update the time zone. You would think it would be easy enough to sync to GMT, and show hours based off time zone on phone where the app is. Would like a big fix for this asap!!
Could be awesome if it would retain authentication and could be shut off on phone. Unfortunately neither is true. Every night, I have to pair and authenticate. Seems to be a common issue. Uninstalling and reinstalling per tech suggestions is pointless. The air mini is awesome, but this app is it's Achilles heel. Resmed seems to be in denial or chooses to ignore the issue. Machine is saved in bluetooth devices, so why isn't the authentication? Expensive brick without full functionality.
The Bluetooth connection isn't great I'm finding. When I need to reconnect it is really quite challenging and frustrating. Also, the long term stats to see each component trend for time, mask seal, events etc doesn't seem to be viewed like the other Resmed app. I have another machine for home which has been excellent with the other app
The app itself is fine. It does what it's supposed to and is easy to use... But it KILLS the battery on my phone. If I want to change any settings or see any data for my airmini I have to reinstall the app, pair the device, do what I need to do, and delete the app again immediately.
Does everything it is supposed to. Easy to use. Pity we can't see the clinical feedback. Also found a way around the battery usage issue. After the morning upload to cloud, go to app and force stop the app. Then it's just a matter of restarting the app the next morning for the upload then repeat. This method is I understand not without consequences and may corrupt the data. Time will tell, I really hope Resmed is working on this as the machine and app work well.
Does not work. Update. Got in contact with a real person not just resmed support via email. Gentleman told me that my galaxy s10 was not supported by the app or the note 10. He has had multiple calls about this issue. That is the issue I am experiencing. I will be trying with a older tablet or phone later in hopes it works and can connect. Was told it may be a week or so til it works. We will see...
Pro's: Stable and consistent Bluetooth connection to the AirMini. Instant readout of simple data. Cons: Screenshot is disabled. Detailed data is not available. If those two were corrected I'd consider this a 5-star app.
It would be extremely useful if the data gathered from the AirsSense 10 app and AirMini app is combined in the ResMed account for a user of these 2 machines to get a combined continuous picture of usage statistics and status. I travel so use the AirMini some days of the week and AirSense 10 when at home. There is no way to view continuous usage statistics. Giving 3 stars due to this deficiency.
Found out my AirMini was bad and once it was exchanged the unit with the app worked perfectly. Changed from 1 star to 5 stars because it works as expected. If you are having trouboe connecting talk with customer service over the phone. Original: Does not connect with Pixel 3, useless app a d now the cppa I paid out of pocket almost a grand is basically useless.
Horrible Bluetooth connectivity. Not at all useful without connecting to the phone. You would think that this would be the most important aspect of the device as there's no interface. Uninstall and reinstall and phone reboot still give no results.
Only partially functional No problems loading it to phone. Usable to set up and activate machine. Tried uploading data in the morning, it says it has ben sent butnothing appears on the dashboard it just keeps telling me that my machine was not used. It is not my phone as I have tried it on a sparephone with the same results.
Like the earlier comment I have to pair the app and Airmini every night. Just started this caper! Which is annoying.... I figured out that disconnecting and reconnecting gets the app (read smartphone) and device to pair. But I suspect this is and should not be a long term fix. Resmed please sort this out. Joe Hauser
Worthless for compliance reports The AirMini is a great, portable, compact travel machine. The problem is that the data drops off after 30 days. As a pilot, I need to show the FAA a 365 day compliance report indicating I have used my CPAP 6+ hours per night for 75% of my nights, otherwise I am denied my medical. No medical, no job. A reliable compliance report is critical to my livelihood. The myAir app for my AirSense10 has great compliance reporting capabilities (without the hassle of contacting my medical equipment provider), why doesn’t the AirMini app have the same functionality as the myAir app? In a perfect world, both apps would speak to each other so I could have one compliance report to submit to the FAA. Three stars because the machine itself is fantastic, but the app needs to be more like the myAir app for ease of reporting (30 days, 3 month, 12 month usage).
The app was working great, until it suddenly started showing my usage hours as .3 or .4, even though i was using the AirMini all night without interruption. I have emailed the developer and will update this rating to 5 stars if this problem is fixed. UPDATE: Developer responded quickly to my request. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app solved the problem. Usage hours are now reporting accurately. Very helpful app.
I only use the AirMini when traveling and I want notifications from the app when I'm connected to the AirMini unit, but I get constant notifications from the app even when not connected and not using the machine. Annoying!!
Overall a very good machine for travelers. Practical and compact. Have to throw out the Humidx even if you travel only for a few days... On the dashboard the pressure displayed is the average or the maximum pressure used for the night ? Can't find the answer anywhere...
There is a known issue which has happened so that my airmini does not turn off when i remove the mask. This means I have to turn the machine off and reconnect the bluetooth by putting in the machine code every time i go to use it. Pretty annoying.
Never stays connected. Garbage bluetooth. Wasted so much time. Not what I hope for. Can't connect no matter how many times I try, or remove and download again. Keeps crashing and burning battery in the background. ABSOLUTELY do not recommend. Cant even use the cpap......
App doesn't let you adjust pressure or see data. It takes a long time to ramp up to prescribed pressure which can make you feel really short of breath because you can't get enough air quick enough and there is no way to adjust it.
I originally rated one star as I was unable to connect to blue tooth, I was able to connect to blue tooth today, and it works as it should. Great app, even got my past history uploaded. All is fine in dreamland again.
I consider this App to be "Aren't we clever, we have an App!" marketing BS. It offers very limited value and should do much more. For example, It wouldn't be hard to add a bring-up function to remind you when the filters are due to be replace (not a continually nagging reminder, as many people may want to wait.). Or the ability to order new parts via the App. Come on people! Just look about at good Apps and I'm sure you can make the useful.
