"Forgot password" emails you a link which takes you back to the sign-in screen. OK, poor design but maybe they mean enter my new password here. But it's rejected as incorrect (of course it is, I've never set it). Tried "Create account" just in case it's expecting my new password there, but I'm told this email address is already in use (well duh, yes, it's mine...). ONE more try before I lose patience; clicked "Forgot password" yet again - same farce again. Pitiful.
The mobile and desktop apps perform the tasks I require. I contacted support to advise of a small issue viewing/scrolling issue. They were onto it right away. Thanks team, keep up the good work.
So many problems of this app. just so many bugs that is a shame ! I am updating details and after a minute I see the details didn't changed on the app. 6 times tried and same problem/ then on the pc I see it did changed but the app still showing old details. and why every time you press the icon, the app doesn't continue where is was? I press the home button so I can continue on the same place and the Icon open it rested to another view. so irritating
I want to love AirTable soooo badly, and it feels like the issues I experience with it might be due to bad administration by my employer. I like it a lot personally and would use it for my own projects, but I'm also *very* technically inclined. Getting my less-techy coworkers to use it properly is a struggle and they all HATE it. It's almost... *too* functional? Like, it can do and integrate so many things, but it ends up feeling jumbled and like none of it works with itself for an avg. user?
I want to love this app - Airtable is very cool on the desktop. And it seems to work okay for viewing? But for editing, it's dangerously broken. It loses entered data. I can add a table column and it'll be invisible until I force close and reopen the app. I can edit a record; see my results right there in the table; go away and edit some other record; and come back and find the first record's changes gone. Or only partially applied. A database with inconsistent state is worse than useless.
Airtable is a game changer! I use or for both personal organization and at work. It has filled the gap between Google spreadsheets and custom apps. My only complaint and the reason I give 4 stars is I find the pricing very limiting for personal use. At work we use advanced features and the pricing is reasonable. For personal use I can't justify the subscription cost. I would happily pay a cheaper subscription with additional feature limitations for personal.
This app needs a lots of improvements. I am not able to access comments. App stopped working sometimes. Need to force close. Notification are late like 2 minutes. Main concern is comments access. Please fix.
It is not similar to the web version. It less functional to its web counterpart 5star I can access my data the same thing in web. My problem here is lot of bugs that sometimes app is not usable. I hope it fix.
love using airtable on desktop but trying to use the mobile app is a nightmare, very buggy. unable to do anything with this app will delete and use the desktop version only
Works well. Pretty user friendly. Hard to scroll without accidentally moving cells around.
So far, seems like it could be useful. I am interested in an app that would seek my gmails by search word, then copy them into a cloud or device database, in which they would be listed by person who sent, and by date received...with a brief notes section on top, extended writer's section below, and checklist area for things needing to be done regarding them, with a goal date tracker that includes the capability to set a reminder in my notifications, with "dismiss/remind again" swipe options? :)
Light, fast, straightforward. Faster than excel, sheets and even notion. I know some teams from work use it as a shared base, but I use it for personal use. The down side is that there's no offline editing.
App overall is workable but it has a long way for improvement and also recently it started crashing when scrolling the record down. So 4 stars is to encourage further work on it, otherwise it would be 2 or 3 stars at this time.
Best app for organizing my tasks at work. Really helpful to work through my phone when not in the office or on the road.
Love love love this! i use this as a makeshift CRM . have not lost a single info, secured and super easy to use.
I use Airtable at my job and was hoping the app would be a big help when I'm on the go. NOPE. Every single time I try to check notifications, the app freezes, refreshes and then shuts itself. It is so frustrating and something that has happening for at least the past 6 months. I reported it but the issue hasn't been resolved. I finally uninstalled this morning because it's useless to me if I can't even check notifications.
the app is good enough, but sadly it doesn't do any kind of offline sync, making it's usage very limited to when you actually have good coverage by cell or wifi.
I would like that in "Configure Base", There are several tabs to write any information separately
great software. although forms not available on mobile
EzraB is correct, desktop much better than mobile. I ONLY USE 4.5+ Had desktop 2yrs before I looked at mobile. Rating was so poor, I didn't bother to download until now. In fact, together AIRTABLE didn't meet expectations so I stopped subscription. I'll give it another chance, start at 3. Main complaint popular IT STYLE LIE about "integrations" from that HORRIBLE 3RD PARTY zapier GARBAGE which we all know just builds INTERFACES. Not good policy TO MISLEAD CUSTOMER/PUBLIC. WE WANT PARITY + TRUTH.
Hate this app on my phone, but I have to use it for work so I'm constantly battling it. Needs to be better optimized for phones and for Android users. Great on a desktop.
Edit: big improvements. Awesome product. ------‐----‐----------------------------------------------- The desktop version is awesome. Love it. The Android app version is very disappointing. The screen layouts aweful. Learning the desktop version lets me achieve my goals. I'm not going through another learrning process to figure out how to do things in the app. It's that different.
The phone version isn't great. Even if I dumb down views just for my phone, it's awkward to use. To change a check box, you need to click the row, hit the check, and then back out. It's be better if there was a view just for phone use where you just hit the one thing you need to edit that feel for what it is, and commit. Do for a check box, just toggle. A date, select a date from a pop-up. A number, edit the number and submit with an enter. The phone view doesn't need to have things move around or disappear based on sorts and filters, but I guess that could be a toggle.
Some features are missing compared to the Web version; a few simple ones would be the ability to make records' height smaller, and to be able to collapse some groups when using the "Group" function. Finally, a great feature would be the ability to have a working script button, but I understand this is quite hard to implement correctly on mobile; maybe sending a link to a mobile-friendly Web page where the script is executed would be easier to implement? Other than that, very decent app!
