Very accurate and professional-looking. You can choose a waveform or strobe display under the tuning indicator (though there should be an option to turn both off, IMHO, as they're hard on the eyes after a while). However, I was disappointed to find this was just a trial version—and it doesn't reveal that till you open the settings. Sneaky! Guys, please mention this up-front, so we won't have to waste our time installing and uninstalling payware when so many good free apps are available.
I paid for this app and it is still telling me that the trial period has ended and stops working, but not all the time, just about 50% of the time --- WHY??? This MUST get fixed!!! Otherwise, this is a great tuner, just wish it would work correctly after paying for it!!!! UPDATE: I have made contact with support and they are working with me to resolve the issue. The issue seems to be random, I can't 100% identify a way to cause the problem, but it seems to go away by restarting the app, not 100% sure with that either, sometimes turning on wifi or starting google play in the background seems to help. The author of the tuner has informed me the the next update should address the issue I am experiencing. This is an excellent tuner! I highly recommend checking it out for yourself. SECOND UPDATE: After installing the update the problem I was having seems to have gone away, EXCELLENT! There are so many options/settings on this turner, you really have to install it and check it out: presets for every instrument, a noise filter, many sweetening settings, calibration settings, strobe accuracy with cents readout... you just have to try it!!! Plus the display looks very cool!
The only reason I cannot stand this app is the free version says "this reminder will pop up occasionally" to remind you to purchase it. It pops up literally every 5-10 seconds! So you cannot use it as a free tuner! I'm sure it is a good tuner, but I never got to use it because every 5 seconds it would pop up and interrupt the tuning. If you don't want to make it useful and free, then don't make it free. Or have it function for two weeks free and then after you have to pay for it. But this "free" tuner is garbage!
Best tuner (violin player here). Just get it. Every other tuner (mobile app or otherwise) sucked. This one's superb. If you think it couldn't be THAT much better, then you have no idea. It is that much better, and you can customize all sorts of things. It's the best. I recommend you get it, regardless of your instrument.
I bought this app over two years ago and have had it installed on every phone I l've had. Every ten seconds a pop up says that the trial version is over and the pop up will come up every two minutes (a lie) when I click the purchase option it tells me I've already purchased the app. *The next time the pop up happens I will screen record for proof. I am not confusing others. I'm simply explaining what I've seen. By the way the pop up comes up every few seconds, not every two minutes.
I highly recommend this guitar tuner app and I have tried a bunch of them. I'm a pro and this tuner was able to intonate my guitar and bass with exacting precision. The interface is beautiful, easy and efficient. I've gone through a lot of tuners apps and this is the best! It will probably be the only tuner app I'll use from now on. So yeah, when my trial period was over and they ask for five bucks I gladly gave it to them!!
I had this on another system and its the only one I know that has the timbre adjustment, strobe and background noise filtering. I wish there was a switchable averaging damper on the display though its a bit twitchy. Ok for strings I guess, but for Brasswind too sensitive. Other than that, well done.
Excellent. I've used a lot of tuners from old tabletop designs the size of shoeboxes to rack mount strobes and tiny Snark like things. My current favourite for stage is my TC Electronics Polytune clip but at home I use the Airyware on my Moto phone. When I find a reliable easy way to connect it this will be onstage as well. Can't fault it. Easy on the ears and easy on the eyes. Keep up the good work
Without a doubt, the best tuner I've ever used, including physical tuners. Better than my guitars built in and two effect processors. The ease and accuracy are outstanding, like a $900 strobe unit, and the sweetened tuning are just sublime! Didn't think twice, used it one day and just bought it.
Hands down the best tuner on Android! I've tried them all, and while many are great for a quick tune up, none have had the precision and speed needed to intonate properly. If you're looking for the one that stands out from the pack, your search is over!
I believe this tuner is more accurate than the one I've used for years. Plus it tunes just about anything. My friend wanted to tune an erhu the other day, and I was a bit surprised that it had a preset for it.
I seen a video on YouTube about this and I have to say, if you would like to experiment with slight tuning changes then this is about as good as you can get, I want to try tuning my guitar in 'just intonation you' and this tuner helps amazingly.... It's just brilliant that's all I can say, thanks.
Just bought this as it is impressive, fast, clear and multi-featured. But I'm not sure if Eb and D# can both be shown in historical tunings. I like the small graphic with each temperament that shows the offsets of each chromatic note from equal temperament, and the strobe display.
I am accustomed to the purchase price being evident on the landing page. Do I installed this app believing it was free. Not knowing I was in a trial, I didn't even use it until it expired. The one time I used it leads me to think I might like it but we may never know. TELL US UP FRONT IT'S A TRIAL, don't put it in the last paragraph.
It appears to be quite accurate and is certainly useful for quick reference; only frustration is with the constant trial reminder, although clearly stated and completely understandable; but for just under a fiver you can stop all that annoyance and have a half decent app for cheap! Problem Solved :)
This is a good tuner app. My original rating was 5 stars but after paying for the premium version, the app is telling me the trial period is over. This happens once every two minutes while the app is open. Very annoying!
What?! I paid for a tuner app when there are so many free ones? Yes! Because this is hands-down the best tuner I've ever used, be it app, pedal, built into multi-FX etc. So fast and easy, yet accurate enough to intonate a guitar. String bends need a little work? No worries, turn this baby on and bend till you hit the mark! Great app, thank you!
Haven't tried the paid version yet, the trail version seems to be more accurate than a Snark tuner , really like the strob setting , 12 string works fine however the 12 string display could use some reconfiguring.
I have paid up to $100 for a physical tuner that doesn't compare to what this tuner can do accurately. I just don't understand musicians who are unwilling to pay $5 for such a good product. This is by far the best tuner that you can purchase for your mobile device. I can think of nothing else to say but Thank You to the developer who created this magnificent app.
Best tuner. Pro tips: Pick fast to get the best tone right at the strike. Tune the lowest string down slightly as thick strings require lighter finger pressure on the lowest frets to keep in tune. The best guitars play well with no pressure so this may not be an issue for you. Check tone and observe correct finger pressure at other frets to find best style of tuning and pressure for that guitar. Main thing is to not tune anything sharp because finger pressure will only make it more sharp.
Very high precision, I can tune intonation, although a in app tutorial or button would help those who are not made aware how to do it by a professional. I also use a 7 string. More settings for that, 8 string and basses would be helpful.
I like the tuner. It is a great experience of the style. You can change the Backround. I am sure this will be a grat tuner for all of you guys. But only one thing. The tuner says Expired and not lets me do the tuning sometimes. Other than that, this should be a great tuner! Also, the tuner works for any insturament.
