As soon as I connect my EK7000 to the app my camera settings for video resolution changes to 4k 30fps and for some strange reason the date changes to exactly one month earlier. Very annoying.
The app was working fine until a recent update. Now it crashes whenever I try to select downloaded videos (usually 2 or 3) to make and export a final video. Makes me think no one even did basic testing on this release.
Quickly and easily was able to connect to my camera (it creates its own wifi network that you connect with your phone). Then able to view and download pictures. Whole process took under 5 min and worked the first time.
I have tried and tried, I got it to connect one time for less than a minute and it lost connection and I have not been able to connect back to the app. Somebody mentioned you have to connect the camera to the Wi-Fi and I did that exit out of the Wi-Fi then push connect and it worked for 30 seconds maybe 60 seconds before it disconnected, tried to repeat that again and I have not been able to connect since . Can somebody help me figure out how to get this app to work? Till then my rating is 1!
Does not work with Brave 4. I get connected successfully on the phone via wireless but the application never recognizes it and thus can't proceed.
Like many others have said. Cannot add camera after wifi connects. Get a connection failure every time. Akaso's generic replies dont help either. Vrry disappointed.
Not intuitive or linear. Way too complicated for a simple camera app. Diving. I don't want a PhD in programming!
Honestly this app isn't the best but it's useful if you want to change the resolution of your camera or delete some photos it's a bit tricky to set up your camera and it's kind of like social media. I have a ek7000 and it was pretty easy to set up. haven't used all the features yet
Can't connect to Brave 6 Plus. Save your money and get a real GoPro. Now my videos are trapped in this thing.
It's useless on the brave 4. The camera shows its connected but the device doesn't show on the app. Do you guys even try connecting the products to test with the app?
Purchased Akaso EK7000 action camera in mid January to mount on my boat to be used on a vacation trip to Florida in March. Mounted the camera for a 30 minute boat ride. Downloaded the video onto my iPad. Quality of video was excellent; however, after that single use the Camera has stopped functioning. Attempting to contact Akaso to obtain a replacement to give this another try or obtain a full refund.
TO BE DETERMINED . I thought this was an app to interface canera and phone and not have everthing splattered on the internet (nor interested in other people's lifes ether) which at this point it appears that that seems to be the operation as it seems to be impossible to proceed to operations without an account So somebody tell me wth is going on
I suppose this app is new and was therefore not mentioned when I originally purchased the V50X. I am very happy I found it, though, because it works significantly better than the RoadCam app originally suggested for the V50X. Akaso should definitely try to make this app known, as I have seen negative reviews of the camera based on it lacking a dedicated app. The preview function is smooth (although it lags slightly). The image is previewed at a resolution high enough to discern important details when composing a scene. The settings can be changed from within the app, and photos and videos can be recorded as well. The most useful feature to me, though, is having a live preview when the camera is mounted in a way that obscures the screen. While the transmission range is not very great (as is to be expected), I was able to get a smooth image up to about 10m away from the camera which is good enough for my purposes. At least on my device, I cannot yet access and play back previously recorded footage (I get a blank screen when I try to open the local album). I am hoping this feature gets fixed, but even without it, the app is very handy.
An option to connect to the internet while the camera is tethered to the phone would be a great feature to have. Disconnection with the camera and app happens a lot, specially when downloading the videos on my phone. Cant find the files after downloading from the camera. App keeps on crashing while editing. Videos are too compressed after post processing even though I selected the highest resolution. Videos tend to pixelate. Update : Please add an option to edit or delete post on the platform
Took a while to figure out the download. Huawei tablet was a breeze. My phone was another issue. 'Essential PH1'. Problem solved. Went to settings to activate 'hot spot'. That allowed wifi connect with my PH1. Who knew? I was really frustrated. That info should be part of the install instructions. Feel much better about my investment. Downloads are slow but I'll work with it.
Brave 6 plus, love the camera but hate the app integration. Have to turn all connectivity of phone off to work which is quite annoying, not will it download videos in background. So essentially rendering my phone useless for 30 minutes while downloading something. Video editing is adequate. For now, easier to edit on computer and post that way.
For some reason keeps telling me that my email format is wrong and don't let me in. I've tried with several different emails and still the same error. I am not allowed to go inside the application so can't really say much about it... And I can see by the reviews that this is happening for a long time(several months) and the app developers didn't fixed it... I'm very disappointed.
Doesn't work on brave4 Cannot connect to the camera
Ive been trying to use my akaso ek7000 with this but it says that im using the wrong internet while im using my cameras one this makes no sence and i wont let my continue any further
It freezes sometimes. And sometimes I can't control my camera with my phone
1 turn off mobile data 2 just above the next step is a little circle select it 3 the rest just happens
Won't connect to my camara which WiFi is on but keeps saying can't connect WiFi problem
Got this app to successfully connect to my Brave 4 camera once. Subsequent attempts were "connected, no internet". Followed the many YouTube tutorials to problem solve, most common was to turn off mobile data. That solution worked for one day (long enough to transfer half my vacation photos), now even that won't work. Verified it's had the latest updates and permissions are complete. App is just pretty garbage if it won't even connect.
