Easy and simple way of booking your car rental
I have rented vehicles from a variety of rental agencies I've always received outstanding service and fair deals when renting from Alamo which is why I've have their App on my phone. Easy to use.
App performance is very good. No problems with check in and makes renting very easy.
Easy to use and show you a great deals
UPDATE/EDIT: Latest update has fixed the issue and I'm now able to login. Devs responded to my initial review and provided a fix in a timely manner. App is responsive and well designed. INITIAL REVIEW: Unable to login to app. I AM able to log into the website. I use a password manager to fill username and password in so I am confident both are correct. Called support and they had no idea what to do.
Fast, easy, intuitive
Every time I try to modify, cancel, or just view my reservations I get an error message saying: We are sorry something went wrong. Call us. This has been happening for a couple of weeks now. I've removed the app and downloaded it again several times and still not working. I use the app because it was faster than going onto the mobile site.
Completely unusable. When entering dates, the app insists you enter them through a popup that shows one month and can only go back one month at a time. Need to enter a bithdate 50 years ago? Be prepared to scroll 600 times. And if you make a mistake, back to the start. Clearly no one ever tested this app.
This app is great if you are looking to rent a car. It gives you lots of choices to chose from plus a pay later/free cancel option if your plans are shaky. Tip; check back often as prices do change for the better.!
Seems the application doesn't recognize foreign IP address and only works in Canada and US. So what am I supposed to do trawling in Europe and renting a car overseas. Can't open the app to show my reservation. It says I am not connected to the internet. Is it done on purpose or is it a bug in the app.
Would have given 5 stars but when trying to enter a birthdate you have to press the arrow button to get to the date. This is extremely time consuming as it only moves one month at a time starting with the current date and doesn't allow you to choose a year. There should be a manual entry function.
Each time I try to open the app, it tells me that there is a network issue. This is both on mobile data and WiFi. I've tried clearing the cache, deleting data and force stopping the app multiple times over a 2 week period. I have since deleted the app.
The app fails to function on Android. When it opens, is stays hung up on an error screen stating that it cannot connect due to a network error. I have tried it on wifi and using my phone's data. It's the same result.
App doesn't understand valid email addresses, in my case containing a + character. I had to look up my Alamo Insider id to log in rather than use my email address. Then it wanted me to enter an email address at several different points, and wouldn't accept an address containing a +. Developers working with email should read and understand RFC2822. App is unusable for me.
Pretty cool app pretty simple to use when using it for about a year and Alamos just find a Best Rent-a-Car company that that I found cuz they cater to me everything that I need better than any other rental car company they don't give me no hassles they give me a call when nobody else will and the app is simple you just put it where you going to pick it up at and the times and Bam, it pops up exactly what you want!
Alamo has been so easy to deal with. They make renting a car practically effortless. The ability to check in online or using the app, combined with their skip the counter feature at many airports, makes Alamo our number one choice for car rentals.
The app worked even when the website was down. It's really easy to use, convenient, and full featured - I'm yet to come across something that cannot be done from the app. I actually book all of my rentals from the app.
This is an easy to use app, and it allows you to check in for your rental easily as well, so that you do not have to waste time at the counter. Just check in online, confirm your reservation at the kiosk, pick up the car from the class of vehicles you chose, and go.
It's very easy app to use. It's easy to go and modify your cancel. Good customer service can be reached with the number provided on the site. I have never had a new problems and have been using them through their app for several years on a regular basis.
Unusable. The website and app crash endlessly and do not work. Lol please fix your stuff so I can compare prices to enterprise. I've heard positive things yet have tried multiole computers and on my lhone and the app. Endless errors. Unusable login or interface. I am assuming maybe flash is involved and Windows nuked flash. So... yea. Trying my best to give you money and I can't. Thanks bye.
love this app when renting a car in Mexico. never had a problem booking and you can always pay at the counter. You can select the level of insurance you want to be covered with and add any other options as you wish.

I'm excited that Alamo finally got an app out and it works great. I used it for my reservation in Strasbourg France and Orlando Florida I was able to skip the counter manage my reservation and make the most of my journey without a lot of work trying to manage the reservation online good job Alamo.
Best car rental app I have come across. Prices are clear and searching is easy. Reservations are easy to find as they are always on the home screen.
Good app. I use it all the time. I never had problems.
So far so good. I've been a member for quite some time but haven't traveled in awhile so didn't see the need to download the app. I'm taking my first trip in 2 years & this made it a little easier.
