If you are on Android 9 or lower, this alarm clock app is amazing and worth a 5-star review. It's been my daily go-to for years. However, under Android 10, the app simply does not work. It will open, and you can set alarms. Oddly, the icons inside the app no longer show up. When an alarm is supposed to go off, a notification does appear in the notification area that an alarm is ringing, but no sounds appear and the screen doesn't activate to allow you dismiss/snooze alarm. I've reached out to the developer and have not heard anything back yet. Reading through the reviews, I've seen others have reached out without success at this point. Should the app be updated for Android 10, I will come back and revise my score.

I've been using this alarm app faithfully 4 years with no problems ever, until now. Over the summer my kids aren't in school so rarely have I needed to set an alarm, but lately I've been waking up before the alarm goes off and therefore didn't realize until just now that the app doesn't wake me up when I set it to. Very frustrating! School is starting next week and I NEED an alarm I can trust! I'm uninstalling until it gets fixed. I'm sure there's hundreds of other alarm apps that actually WORK!

Went from FIVE stars to ONE star. With latest phone update I can't even get it to work anymore! My favorite alarm app, but now it won't even bring up the alarm! I didn't change anything on it and even set a new alarm to test it, but it won't notify me. It shows up on the home screen as ringing, but it doesn't ACTUALLY ring. Very disappointing now.

Very good alarm app (but). Update from Feb 2020. After a system update to android 10, the alarm no longer works. A screen popup says alarm is ringing but no sound emitted from the phone. I only discovered this after unfortunately missing my wake up each of the last two days. The app is useless until fixed. I hope it is fixed as it (was) a nice product.

used to be amazing, now no longer works. alarm simply won't go off.... used since my first phone over8 years ago. regardless, I'm pleased with the purchase. edit: apparently it's not the app that is causing the issues everyone seems to be having. Android pie, and maybe other newer versions cause the alarm to not go off. This is due to the battery optimization feature. With it on, it effects the alarms ability to go off. turn off battery optimization for this app and it should work as normal.

Alarms stopped working on 1/1/2021! I had been using this app for years with no issue. The "Alarm" volume now drops to zero when the alarm goes off. I've checked and rechecked the volume before going to bed but it keeps happening and I sleep in. The alarms are going off, I can see the notifications and the app displays, but there's no vibrations or sound.

Used to be awesome, but from Nougat onwards been having lots of small bugs here and there (using Oreo on GS9). Most annoying bug is that when the alarm is on and I'm quiet mode, a low recurring beep keeps happening all night to the point where I'm ready to smash the phone. Then I can't even change the alarm song to wake up to, only choose the playlist instead for it to work. I'm going to have to look for alternatives.

This doesn't work on either of my two Android phones. The alarm times just pass quietly, even if the phone is kept at full volume. The app used to work. Alarms are important obviously. A silent one is useless, causing me to miss a meeting or worse. I couldn't even find any troubleshooting online.

Perfect alarm clock, it's functions are quick and easy to do, especially when you want to set your alarm just before you go to bed. The app appears to be working okay with my new phone, Samsung a70... I had a Samsung s7 before. Only say this as they have not updated the app for some time which is why I'm dropping the star.

works great! or(sometimes) doesn't. generally works with great options. then, from time to time you set it and no wakeup. try another day still no. I've found uninstalling/ reinstalling to correct this. Problem is: if it's unreliable you're gonna be late once or twice whenever this bug appears. Alarm clocks should be nothing if not reliable. No? update: now won't uninstall...

This used to be the BEST alarm clock out there. Every feature you could ever want and great interface. No more... They stopped supporting or updating it. If you have Android Pi, don't bother because the alarms just won't go off under the new OS. As others have said, this was so great until they stopped updating it.

Used for years and now suddenly stopped working. Like Linda, I got a message about high battery usage (galaxy s10) and alarm time comes without the alarm going off. I noticed that it stopped working when the battery usage message came. I was able to get it working again by going into the battery mgmt options and it shows that double twist was stopped based on the battery usage. When I clicked on the entry it gave me an option to allow Alarm to use battery in the background and it works again.

App has stopped functioning with Android 10. Worked flawlessly for years. Will revise if issue is fixed before I find a new alarm app. If you have a device on Android 9 or under then you may be fine, but my daily driver is a Pixel and I have Android 10 now. Also since the app hasn't been updated at all since 2017 I don't see the issue being fixed anytime soon. UPDATE: Emailed Dev over a week ago. No response. UPDATE 2: Have switched to "Sleep As Android" for new alarm app.

Loved this app while it worked - good interface, easy to use. Alas, it doesn't work with Android 12 (I recently jumped from 8 to 12, not sure when the incompatibility started). Would love to see it updated.

Alarm feature has stopped working. It will play sounds when setting an alarm, but no sound or vibration when the alarm actually goes off, only a tray notification that says "Alarm ringing." That's not going to wake anyone up.

I love this app, I've used it for years. Unfortunately however, following the recent S10 update the app no longer works. A notification appears on screen to say the alarm is going off but no sound is made also alot of the icons are now missing. I hope the developers update the app as I literally use those more than any other other app on my phone phone. This is a 5+ star app when working.

Worked great for years, doesn't work with latest update from Android. Says it's ringing, but won't actually make a sound. Have been late to work 2 days in a row now. Thanks lol. Tried uninstall & reinstall, but get msg saying it was developed for an older version of Android.

Just like so many others have said. Used to be the best alarm app out there with a 5 star rating. Now it's become next to useless because the alarm doesn't go off anymore after the Android Pie update. Last time this app was updated was Nov 2017. Shame. Still keeping it for one thing though....it still looks great as a bedside clock at night with the dimmed clock face.

It's decent but it doesn't quite work with Google assistant on the phones. It will set the time and everything but you have to push the follow button. I don't want that. I just wanted to tell a time from Google assistant and have it confirm with the voice response and be done.

I have been using this alarm for years but since i got a new phone 2 years ago it stopped functioning. I now got another phone and the issue remains. There is obviously a compatibility problem with the newer versions of Android. Either update the app or remove it from the store, Selling an alarm clock that doesn't ring is pointless.

I found this app and have been using it for years with no issues. It has recently stopped working. I think it must be due to the newer Android version as I have Uninstaller, reinstalled, and changed devices since this issue showed up, but no joy.

Used to love this app - would've given it 5 stars on my last phone. However, now that I've upgraded devices and I'm running Android Pie, the app has completely stopped working. It appears that Doubletwist had just abandoned this app since it hasn't been updated since 2017. Tried emailing the developer weeks ago, but no reply.

I really like this alarm. It's got great features and a sleek design. However, the alarm itself only goes off less than half of the time. I've woken up late for work multiple times because it just never went off. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to when it goes off and when it doesn't. I'd love to continue using it, but I just can't rely on it.

I have used this app for years but lately it hasn't been doing what it is supposed to. Even though the snooze duration is set to 10 minutes, it goes off after 8 minutes. 8 minutes isn't even an option in the settings. It doesn't always follow the schedules set, alarming on days it isn't supposed to.

Loved this app. I've been using it for years. The alarms are no longer working with Android 10. I hope doubletwist releases a compatible update. It's overdue; the last update was nearly 2 years ago.

Used to love this app - easy to use, nap function really useful. As of late alarm just doesn't go off!! What's the point of the alarm that doesn't do what it's supposed to? If I could, I would give it zero rating. It has become completely useless.

Was my go-to alarm clock for years... Not anymore. The alarms just arbitrarily stopped working. When I uninstalled, it made me BUY the app again and it still doesn't work. 🤬 Why has there not been an update since 2017??? I know you guys are making a killing because every time I buy a new phone I have to re-buy the app! Time to find another option.
