Could be great, and I paid for this, but a few problems. For me, the "auto on" feature doesn't work. The abtiscreen-burn feature doesnt seem to do anything, the brightness resets itself on opening the app each time (and is way too bright), and the app interferes with some music and other music/radio apps, such as BBC Sounds. This prevents me from listening to things when the clock is on. I'm hoping these issues can be sorted soon, because it's a really nice clock otherwise.
I have used the paid (no ads) version of this app for years without a problem. Now, since the most recent update two or three days ago, PROBLEMS. I will wake up during the night and look over to check the time and am greeted with a black screen. No clock! If I bring up the phone and select the button on the lower left to show all the aps, it's there. It hasn't crashed. Its just been forced into the background somehow. I have always had the selections to not lock the screen on both power and battery enabled, but apparently it doesn't matter any more. And after the alarm goes off, I notice that it has pushed the multimedia volume to full! That's a VERY unpleasant surprise if I go to play a video and don't remember to turn it down first. The old version worked great. The most recent update ruined it. Until these issues are resolved, I'm going to uninstall it and look for something else.
Been using the app for a little under half a year. It's able to actually wake me up, which is something that none of the alarm sounds built into my phone could do. The only thing stopping it from being a perfect five stars is just how common the ads are, if they were toned down just a little bit, I'd give it five stars. Edit: The ads are no longer as common. I don't mind them, as it's not giving me an ad every time I want to edit an alarm anymore, so I'm updating this to five stars
The alarm worked great for a while. Then it sometimes wouldn't work at all. I'd set it for 6:00 AM; it would say, "will activate in seven hours;" but then it wouldn't go off once the appointed time had passed. This has happened to me twice now, causing me to be late for something, and it's very frustrating. It might be affected by automatic updates when they download at night, but I don't know for sure.
Tried to find a replacement alarm clock for my new S22. Clock sometimes stays on all night, sometimes not. Nothing more frustrating than looking over to see a black screen. Not sure it qualifies as a "clock" at this point. I like that I can pick my own alarm music and the brightness fade. Now if they could just fix the actual clock part...
Perfect use. Alarms always perfectly gone off and the clock customization is minimal but neat nonetheless. Although I never use it having the timer feature is also a neat inclusion. Over the years of using this app there have been a tiny influx of ads but they are far from intrusive and are fairly short and seemless. Love the little details and features and love how you can perfectly adjust and customize alarms as you need.
This appears to be a limited function alarm clock solely designed to get the developers ad money. I can't even get through the settings without multiple ads including multiple 30sec video ads. You can't change the font color or size on the screen. Don't waste your time with this app. I would consider upgrading any worthy app to ad free but this ain't one.
It used to be a great dependable app, but with the recent update, now it can not run more than 1-2 hours without crashing out, back to the home screen. Was one of the most dependable apps, never crashed, dependable; it just worked. Not any more.
Not happy with the advertisements and alarms being blasted at full volume, why does the app do this? I have changed the settings to the quietest alarm volume and yet when the alarm sounds it forces my phone volume to go max, other than that it is a great solid application and barely has ads along as you keep things simple.
Better than Google's default clock because I can set each alarm to different volumes, snooze times, and even to be a one time reminder for a future date. Google's default apps are really poorly designed. But I can't set any customized sounds or music as alarms, so this app is still very limited! It doesn't pop on screen when an alarm goes off. You have to open the app before deciding to snooze or stop. Also repeats alarms every day when Repeat set to "Never." From a Google Pixel 5 on T-Mobile
I love it. This app is perfect, it does everything I wanted and does more than I expected. The fact it has the option to stay in the notification bar and shows when the next alarm is set to go off is a very nice feature. I normally test an app for a few days before buying, this time after about 5 minutes of testing I purchased the app. Devs, great job it's a wonderful app!!!!!
It's a pretty good alarm. I wake up to it five days a week. The music is several bars of a slow beat that repeats itself. It is the same bars of music everyday. I use to wake up to a radio station playing music, whatever song they were playing at that moment in time. Genrally, the radio station played something different everyday. I have a moto phone. It's works and it's free. I don't think it's terrific, but it's pretty good. I give it a 4 out of 5. The ads are not intrusive.
My screen dims when I open the clock to add an alarm but the ads turn up my screen brightness to the max. The ads hijack the sound on my phone and turn it all the way up everytime I try to open the app. My flashlight gets turned on or the alarm screen won't go away and is bright which heats up my phone and drains my battery. Restricting permissions doesn't solve the issue.
The Clock it's self is a great app. But the free version has to many ads and you have to fight with. And if you are like me you don't want to spend 10min. Trying to set an alarm. You have to get plum out of it because of ad's and clear out then reopen to set it. Other than that it's a good alarm app.
Easy to use interface, allows multiple alarms customary settings & optional memo/note ect. Pre-installed LOUD & somewhat diverse options for Alarm audio/ringers. Gentle fade option, snooze, or shake to turn off which can be fun.... sometimes. All in all does what it should do w/out overly excessive ads & cost free version. SCORE!!! Way to go Developers & A Big Thank You
Had the paid version for years then a month ago it stopped making sounds. Uninstalled and paid again. Screen turns itself off at night sometimes. Galaxy s9+ Also we just finished daylight savings and time went back an hour. Everything was OK except, this morning (Monday here) it wakes me an hour early.🤬😡 Time is correct, alarm setting is correct.
Awful... Absolutely riddled with ads, they're totally relentless making the app unusable. In response to the dev- I'd hardly call the ads minor, they make the free version unusable. I wouldn't get the premium version because a) can't test the free one properly due to the ads and b) won't be strong armed into paying for the premium version just by the free one being so useless. Bad business model.
Very hit or miss lately if the alarm will go off for the time i set it, let alone if it will go off at all. Had an alarm set for 330, woke up around 230. I close my eyes expecting my alarm to go off in an hour (yes it's still set to go off) and the next time i open my eyes it's 445... no alarm goes off. You're better off just buying an actual alarm clock from a store or something, cause all these apps that are supposed to not turn off till you turn them off, work like 30% of the time
Suddenly the app decides in the middle of the night that I need to download bumble or some other app. So now instead of being able to turn off the alarm in one keystroke it takes a few minutes to close play and to get to the alarm.. usually waking the wife up. Time for a different app.
UPDATE: It's gotten worse. Now in the middle of the night a full screen add with pop up at full brightness waking me up! This is a serious issue disturbing my sleep and overall health. I PAID to remove ads. Have used this app for years without issue, now this mess. After recent update app won't stay on all night and sometimes crashes as other reviewers have said. When is a fix coming?
Alarm Clock For Me is rife with insulting ads saying God needs me to install the KJV of the Holy Bible on my phone which is disengenuous and a lie because the creators of all the varying versions of that ad are deliberately misrepresenting their desires as God's needs. That's the first major problem. The second & bigger problem is that I cannot see what time it is all too often when I open the app because it simply goes no farther than a black screen. What's the point of a clock I can't see?
Hard for us folks who haven't grown up with electronics as there are no obvious forwarding options to make changes or choose options. When picking an alarm sound how do I hear it? It is not simple. So far I don't like this. I am flying blind and am not able to figure out how to navigate easily. And I emphasize EASILY. You have totally ignored my generation. This should not be brain surgery.
Quite happy with it except for 2 things: 1. The clock on the home screen widget often stops, does not update the time. I have to click on it to start the main display and then exit back to the home screen. 2. When the main screen is on, it prevents other apps from working. E.g. my internet radio and music player stops a few seconds after starting the clock main screen and comes back on the moment I exit.
The alarm at 6:30 has started ringing like crazy at 1:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m. alternate days. Just random times. Random alarms are being set and popping up and I have to cancel them. I uninstalled it then had to reinstall it and when I reinstalled it I had to pay for it again. Really unhappy with it right now
An accurate, aesthetic device... w lots of choice attributes. And, alas, lots of very annoying ads. NB: The update, as usual w updates, is a pain in the neck. The page opens looking like an ad. It takes a few seconds for the real clock to appear. To boot, I was forced to update.
