Alarm Clock Plus★

Been using it (and the paid version) for years, but the alarms sometimes don't go off, now. It's happened twice this week. I can't figue out the cause. It didn't start happening until one of the recent Android updates (Galaxy S21). It also takes a really long time for the notification to pop up when the alarm does go off. This is really awkward in a meeting or if I'm in the middle of something else. I have to wait 5ish seconds for the notification to pop up before I can silence the alarm.

Used to work great - now it's annoying as hell. The alarm siren starts ringing, but the app doesn't show the pop up to snooze/dismiss for 10 seconds. So you have to sit with the phone in your hand getting screamed at for 10 seconds before you can actually make it shut up. Infuriating.

04-16-22 Update: Sent email to developers; address is no longer valid. Was great before Android 12 update! Now, not only does the app function properly, their freaking email address is messed up! - No pop-up to Snooze or Dismiss when alarm comes on. Have to unlock phone and access via pull-down. Too cumbersome now. - App is slower. Ex: when wanting to "Test" an alarm, there's a significant delay now, when there was no delay previously. - New widget clock faces are terrible!

Happy to once again be able to use this alarm now that I have a new Android phone, my old phone not being supported. My only gripe which is a big one is when the alarm goes off, it doesn't come on top of other apps. You have to go to notifications to access it to snooze or dismiss. I know there are updates/fixes in the works. Hopefully this is one of them!

Love this app; have been using it for years, and on MANY different phones. Just got a new phone yesterday, though, and when my alarm went off this morning, it was nowhere to be found to shut off! Had to turn the phone off to get the alarm to stop. I guess that's ONE way of making sure I get up...! In all seriousness; I hope the update the developer says is coming soon fixes that issue; I can't live without this app!

I've used this alarm clock app for years, and never want to change. It's not gimmicky, it just does the job with the options I want. The display is in bold characters, perfect for seeing at night without glasses. Loads of options for colors, àlarms, and styles. I'm very happy and loyal.

Great alarm. Im able to wake up to my favorite song, as it increases in volume. There are some extra features that seem strange for an alarm clock. Im really not sure why there is a link to open a photo gallery. And I dont understand why touching any part of the main screen besides the menu at the bottom changes the display 3 times, before I can get back to the menu. I only use the alarm settings, and basically avoid touching any other part of the screen, and avoid the unnecessary buttons.

I've been using this app for years and was very happy with it, mainly because of the auto-dismiss feature, which allows me to set it to only play the alarm for a preset time, as I wake up easily. However, the desk clock randomly switches to the homepage which is bright and annoying, or it goes blank and doesn't show the time. Edit. Turns out my desktop cradle had a bad connection, causing the phone to go in and out of charging mode. All good now. This is the best!

Been using this app for the past 2 years. It hardly ever fails, and when it does its never off by more than 6 minutes. Up until now it has only occured twice that it doesnt ring(Only counting where the app itself failed) , and bear in mind I use this daily. Clean and simple UI, easily modifiable settings, and to top it off you can choose to dismiss an alarm by solving different level math, so it gets your brain up and running. Personally, I recommend this to anyone reading this review. :)

I wanted an app that would sound an alarm for a second or two, then speak the time, then automatically snooze for a user-defined period. I chanced upon this feature a few years ago in a different app, but it was not there by design and seemed to depend upon a combination of the right hardware and the right version of Android (and a postcard covering the phone's front camera). Suffice to say that it did not work with my current phone. Alarm Clock Plus is the only app I've subsequently been able to find that does almost exactly what I want. It meets my requirements closely enough to make me very happy. There are a few changes that could be made to enhance my experience. The alarm sounds after speaking the time, rather than before. That being the case, I'd like to disable the alarm sound, but have not been able to find a way to do so. I tried using an MP3 of silence as the alarm tone, but the app reverted to its default tone. The alarm volume can be set within the app (although not to zero), but the speech volume cannot and instead uses the phone's media volume. This is the biggest issue for me, and is growing more annoying the longer I use the app. If I forget to adjust the volume before going to sleep, I get violently woken by a bawling voice rather than being gently woken by being quietly told the time. I'd also quite like to be able to choose my own speech synthesizer and to specify the exact words spoken before speaking the time (both options were available in the app that I previously used).

One of my favorite utilities. Used it for years, and it's one of the first things I put on new devices. Lately, it's losing ringtones, messing up volume settings, and generally acting wonky. The thing is - the app hasn't changed. This is long past the last time it's been updated, so I'm blaming other apps, or even ABC, for changing the internals or behavior of other Goog apps. I'm on AOS 10, so it's not any issues with 11 or 12. I'll uninstall and reinstall, and hope that resets or fixes it.

I used to use this app all the time. It was fantastic. I would build a playlist of music elsewhere, import it, set it as my wake up, set the time, set the repeated days, all of it. It worked marvelously. And then something happened. Back in December, I guess the Android OS updated or something and it's just never worked right since. I can't get it to import playlists properly anymore (they just appear empty no matter what I do). It doesn't repeat anymore even though I have it set to do so. It kicks on several minutes early or late frequently and often ignores my auto-dismiss time. I've tried uninstalling and clearing my data to start from scratch, and yet somehow, it magically remembers what alarms I had, what playlist I was using (except it's blank), and this carries over to new devices. I've gone between three different phones and it's continued to do this on me. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. It used to be such a good app, and now the primary function I had used it for--FOR YEARS without any trouble--is no longer functioning. It makes me really sad that I have to do this because no other alarm clock app I've tried allows me to import an existing playlist and play songs from it at random. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I don't know how to ACTUALLY clear all my data to start from scratch. Unless I get some help, I'm leaving it uninstalled. For the record, devices that it was used on: Galaxy Tab A 8.0, Nexus 6P, Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 9 (current)

It stopped working! I've used this app on multiple phones over the years and have always been thrilled with it. Then, about 3 weeks ago I noticed it was skipping some alarms. Then it was skipping more... And now it doesn't play any of my alarms! I'm frustrated and only thankful I didn't miss any important meetings or appointments because of it! Unfortunately, now I'll be looking for a new alarm clock app. Grrrrrr!

Have been using this app successfully and loving it, for years and with different phones. In the past few months the app just doesn't work- you set an alarm and it just doesn't beep. No music set up or anything, just the regular beeping-- and nothing. Not in nap mode, not in alarm mode. Had to go back to the the phone's alarm app. Please fix this.

Had another alarm app that worked but was a little hard to use. Alarm Clock Plus is simple to use with little effort. Don't know what is going on with the app because i have been late to work 3 times. When it gets updated without me giving permission 2 things happen. 1st the time set to get up is shut off so it doesn't ring. 2nd the app is moved to a different spot on my phone. Still like the app just has a few bugs to work out. Pt-2 Really like the app. No issues anymore.

Awesome feature-packed alarm app. One of my favorite features is that you can set the alarm sound to gradually get louder (and choose how quickly it gets louder.) You can set multiple alarms, make them recurring, choose whatever sound you want, add notes to the alarm, set it to make you do math problems to turn the alarm off, all kinds of stuff. Thank you for this app! I've been using it for years & years; around a decade now!

I've used this alarm clock for so many years and loved it. But lately this app has become very unreliable. It doesn't matter what time I set my alarm for, the alarm either NEVER goes off or when it does go off, it doesn't go off at the time it is set for. Sometimes could he two minutes before or after time, sometimes hours, just random. And for that you get just one star.

I had this app for years and use to love it. Recently over the last few months it hasn't been reliable. Updates would download causing a new error and the alarms to not go off. I work 3rd shift and would set multiple alarms to make sure I was up on time. This app caused me to be a half hour late to work for the first time in probably 10 years. It seem like they have massively over complicated this app. I went back to just using the alarm clock that came on my phone.

This used to be a fantastic app that I have used for years but has gone way downhill in the last year. I have had to uninstall/reinstall several times in the last year because the app randomly stops working. It has become completely unreliable which is unacceptable for an alarm clock. I have multiple alarms with different music for each time. This app used to play the different songs at the correct time if I had not dismissed the last alarm. Now, it just plays the song from the first alarm only.

I used to love this app because of its options and reliability. I would have rated it 5 stars. But in the past several months it's become completely unreliable as half of the time the alarm never goes off. Occasionally it'll go off silently, but more often it won't go off at all. I have an alarm and a backup alarm set. This morning neither went off. Fortunately I've realized this problem and have a third alarm on a different device that woke me up. Really sad, since this used to be such a great alarm.

as with other reviewers, this app worked great until a few weeks ago. Now it doesn't go off at the set times. Also, with the S9 it was very difficult to pick the phone to turn the alarm versus setting snooze. I uninstalled it, but it used to work so well, I will reinstall it to dry it again. I figured the problem was the S9, but since others have the same issue, it may be a bug in a recent update.

It's a great app! It gives the options of turning snooze or math on or off. And if you choose to do math, it lets you decide from really easy to really difficult. It also lets you chose songs from your playlist and make it the alarm sound. But the reason I give it 2 stars is because about a month after use, it turned my alarm off by itself. That resulted in me over sleeping and screwing up my sleep schedule. If the makers of this app can fix this problem, I will change my rating to 5 stars. Thx

I've been using this app as my alarm clock for years. The ability to change the alarm sound to a song on your phone, to manage the gradual increase in volume, and to completely customize the snooze and disable options are outstanding. You can also customize your daily alarms, and it's easy to disable or skip an alarm if you have the day off, wothout having to completely redo the alarm. The nap alarms are great too. And the night time alarm clock display is great as well. Highly recommend.

I found this app so that I could use a shuffle feature for my alarms. Because the repetition was becoming too easy to sleep through. And this app has been a blast. Exactly what I needed. I also appreciate how an alarm can be skipped on the next occurrence that came in handy. The only thing I would like to see added, is multi song select when creating a playlist. Other than this mildly tedious task, the app has been wonderful.

If you want to oversleep and lose your job use this app. Tons of controls but too easy set it wrong and not know it. And even after setting it correctly it still rarely goes off. I just wasted over an hour repeatedly trying to get it to work. I got an alarm maybe twice out of numerous numerous attempts. A reliable alarm clock is pretty important. This one can't be relied on.

I've been using this alarm app for three-plus years now. It has very rarely failed me. What I like is that I can set multiple alarms so I have a backups (in case you can't tell, I am hard to wake up). Being able to change the alarm sound to a song or different sounds really is helpful in that it separates the alarms. I know which alarm is ringing by the sound. I also love the snooze function, that I can set it for the number of minutes I want to snooze.

I have been using Alarm Clock Plus literally for as long as it has existed. Never had a single issue not counting user error. Not too fancy, but beautiful and it beautifully does exactly what it is supposed to do with out needing, demanding or taking over. It's reliability has always allowed me to sleep well knowing that I will wake up on time to my favorite alarms or music. Naps! This feature is amazing. Simple, quick and off to sleep.
