Great, use the alarm all the time. One change introduced in one of the later updates annoys me though. With math to dismiss alarm enabled, the alarm continues when entering the numbers. That is really stressful. Would be nice if the alarm muted while entering numbers, as it did in the past. Also after updating to Android 12. It often takes a while before it appears, so I can discuss it.
It's been almost 2 months since I first posted this. I recently updated to Android 12. Since then when an alarm sounds it takes 10 to 15 seconds for the alarm popup or notification to appear so that the alarm can be silenced. This is particularly problematic when other people are present who aren't amused at my inability to immediately silence an alarm. This is the only app I have with this kind of problem.
I used to LOVE this app... Then I upgraded to Android 12. I fiddled with some settings and was able to fix the problem where you had to unlock the phone before you could snooze. But, even worse is the fact that the alarm only goes off 50% of the time. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this app since it doesn't reliably do the 1 basic thing it's supposed to.
This is my favourite alarm clock app and I think it's worth paying for the no ads version. I love it's ability to skip the next alarm and it's huge snooze button which allows me to hit it without looking at my phone. The only things preventing me from giving it 5 stars are two annoying problems. First and foremost Android 11 plays the default notification sound when Alarm Clock Plus adds alarm and snooze notifications. Also the snooze and dismiss buttons move around when the screen rotates.
Have used this app for years. Recently upgraded my phone to Galaxy 22 Ultra. The app is working, except an incorrect alarm time is displayed on the Alarm clock console. Would like to fix this. Previously, I was able to verify the next alarm just by looking at the clock display. Would appreciate a fix for this glitch.
I've been using this app for years. It has worked perfectly for me since day 1 (now on S9 with Android 8). I really like the option that it reads out the time before the alarm sound goes off. The menus are kind of complicated, and as others have mentioned, this app hasn't been updated since 2012. I hope it doesn't stop working because I haven't found another alarm app that is nearly as good.
Been using this app for years. Its one of the first apps I put on my new phones. However, the last few months I have had an intermittent problem where the alarm fails to go off. I believe it occurs immediately after an update. The alarm is still "on" but doesn't go "off" until I have old school, switched it off and back on again. Sadly this is starting to become a significant issue so have downgraded to 3 stars.
Needs to be simplified. The advanced features can be in a different tab, with better explanations for end user. I've had this app for years & have figured 90% of the features out over time, but it should be simpler & with instructions that are relevant for the purpose of each feature. It does everything an individual could ever want, except they don't know it. Make it better & it's 5 stars!
As the years go by and I get different phones and try different alarm apps, I always end up coming back to this one. It is the easiest, most intuitive and reliable. My only critique would be with the math problems. I find that the difficulty rises too quickly. The very easy is very easy, however by the time you get to medium, it gets to be VERY hard to do in your head, especially first thing in the morning. Besides that, A++
I have used this for years on other Android versions. On Android – 8.0 Oreo I cannot get the app to keep an alarm I choose. For the last three mornings the alarm failed different ways. The first time it was just flashing the screen without the sound. This is because if somebody phones you during the time the alarm goes off, it mutes the sound. The second day there was no flashing screen or sound. It just didn't go off at all. Today the alarm was set to go off at 7am. It went off at 7.15am I checked the alarm setting and it still showed it was set for 7.00am. Now I am looking for an alternative alarm app I can depend on and uninstall this one.
App is great! Creator is always attentive to make improvements and fix any bugs. Has fantastic level of functions and settings. Still have trouble with the app turning the volume way down few minutes after the alarm is turned off. Also, some problems with settings being undone--not saved, including the alarm ring tone that is selected. Otherwise, this is a great app!
Can't migrate easily from ad supported version I have used the ad version for a long time and figured it was time to support the developer. Switching to the new version, I made a backup of my settings in the old version first, thinking I could restore them in the No Ads version and that would be that. Much to my disappointment, none of my settings or alarms are restored. I will have to reconfigure and enter everything manually again if I'm to continue using the paid version. Disappointing.
Became unreliable. About every month or two it doesn't go off and then I have to clear all memory and then it works again. Good thing I set a backup alarm. I would abandon this so together, but I like the flashing screen that wakes me but not my wife. I bought the no ad version many years ago and have been using it ever since. Edit 2/11/2020: have been trying to get the alarm to work again. Clearing memory has no effect. Alarm set for 4:20 AM, but always goes off around 6:53AM.
it used to be that when the alarm would go off, with math problems set for snooze/dismiss, the alarm would be temporarily silenced when there was activity on the phone's keyboard (i.e. if I was typing an answer). This was great because i could right away quiet the alarm by quickly answering the math problems. Now the alarm sound continues even while typing on the keyboard which means that with an alarm with a few hard problems to answer to snooze/dismiss, it could take a long time for the alarm to be silenced and this is a huge problem. Please fix the app to allow the option to quiet the alarm as long as there is activity on the keyboard. Also I sent email to the address listed for the developer but it bounced back. Please update.
Best Alarm clock i ever used. It got abundant features to accommodate all users. The interface to set the features/alarms is clear and easy to understand. Each alarm can use different features than the other alarms and as far as i used this App. it does not have limits on the number of alarms you may have. Customer support is quick I had a question and got a respond within a few hours.
This is currently my favorite alarm clock app. It does everything I need, except for one thing. That one thing is what bring it down to 4 stars and not 5. I set a lot of alarms and it can be a pain to have to turn all of them on and off. Having an easy to access Master Alarms ON/OFF switch in the app would be great. Turning OFF should disable all the alarms. Turning ON should only reenable the alarms that was enabled before you turned OFF.
Can set as many alarms as needed per day, per week, daily, weekly, or any other repeated activity. I purchased the No-Ad version many years ago. This is my 3rd phone that I've had this app. For a busy person like me, sometimes I forget the simple things: like taking the trash to the curb every week. This app is a lifesaver, can't live without it!
Been using for at least 5 years. Paid a few bucks, once, to eliminate ads...which to me is always a must when it is one-time and reasonable. Note that within last hour I left a review but it was on the wrong version of the app. if you have this app and see ads on a new device make sure that somehow both free and ad-free we're not installed... Somehow I mind they were both there so I was seeing ads, so I uninstalled and reinstalled, now no problems.
Like others, have been using this app for years thru several phones. Latest Android update ruined it, and made me late for work....since the dev abandoned ship, I did some research and testing, and it looks like the issue is the Battery Optimization policy in Android's Special Access settings. Go to your phone's settings, search for Battery Optimization, then scroll down and flip the switch for Alarm Clock Plus to OFF (not colored). That should get the app working. Hope that helps!
Used to be a great app. Then when I switched phones, I started having it not go off unless the phone was powered-on. Turning off the battery-saver, etc didn't help. So I set the developer option "stay powered on when charging." That got it to working again. Then it quit working (but naps would still work) and now naps also don't work. Last update was 11/17/19. Alarms "work" but several hours later. I decided to try it again and re-enabled a repeating alarm and had it set this morning for 5:34am. When my other app rang at 5:36am, I turned the alarm off again in this app since, again, it didn't work. But the alarm then comes up at 10:40am!!!!!!!! That's not the first time that the alarm "worked" several hours later.
Used this for years now and I've only had a few times that my alarm didn't go off. I believe it was in part because my phone went through an update. Seeing a little glitch from town to time at the bottom of the alarm app using my Pixel 3 phone. The back button and alarm button overlap each other and it's tricky to use at times. I believe an update has fixed it now.
I've used (and loved) this app for many years across multiple devices. I have recommended it a number of times and am happy that I paid for it all those years ago. Android 10 came out recently and all but bricked the app. I had to stop using it. And I couldn't find anything with similar features or as many customizble options. The developer came back to this app 5 YEARS later (since the last update) and fixed the issue. The phone default alarm wasn't cutting it. Glad to have ACP back!!!!
The BEST alarm app! I went back to Android (not really but a huge plus) as I found the Android version works better for me. It could be I didn't set up the iOS version properly, and that the app has managed to work around iOS permissions, but Android version just works all the time guaranteed, set it and forget it! Plus you gotta love a giant snooze button😁 I highly recommend this app and the paid version is totally worth it, never had a problem with reinstalling when switching between phones
Upgraded to the paid version and still not working for Samsung. Won't even test alarm. I know the developer is working on it. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. I've used this app for many years now and this is the first major issue I've had. I found one area that it may have been restricted. I removed it, and it at least allowed me to test it out, then I set it for a few minutes out, but I still can't change the ring tone and it's definitely not "gentle". I emailed with subject "App Debugging"
I've used this alarm for a number of years already and am very happy with it. However due to Android updates, the alarm hasn't always been reliable. But I found if i set a system alarm to go off silently before hand then this app would work no matter what. Perhaps the instability has been fixed but I still set the system alarm each time I set the alarm in this app.
Previously lived this app but it has become very unreliable. Alarm has been going off at random times (repeatedly) and not ringing when it is supposed to. Checking the alarm list, I will find new alarms set up at odd times that I am sure i didn't set up. Also, there have been times where I set a nap that never goes off and disappears from the alarm list.
Honestly the only alarm app I use, or have used, since 2014 or so. Well worth the purchase price, and then some. It has a huge list of features, unobtrusive design, simple controls and a bug-free interface that's as reliable as it is robust. For those thinking about it, I have only three words: GET. THIS. APP.
Alarm app doesn't seem to work in terms of the actual alarm sounds ever since last two Android upgrades. Great versatility in setting up alarms for different conditions, BUT all that customization is useless if the alarm sounds themselves aren't activating. I notice the developers haven't updated since 2012. I hope they're still around to fix this!
Been using the paid version for years. Love the features. However, after upgrading to a galaxy s22 ultra, the alarms go off, but they don't pop up anywhere and take forever to show up in the notifications section until after the alarm has been going off for a while. My wife hates this because I can't turn the alarm off fast enough to not disturb her. Literally have to burry my phone under a pillow until I'm confident it will show up in the notifications so I can dismiss it. Please fix!
