It's so glitchy and it doesn't record enough footage, when someone rings the door bell and you go to the app to see who is there there is a black screen you have to refresh Multiple times before you can see who is there. Plus this app doesn't record every door bell response which it should. There is also a small limit on how much can be recorded and saved which makes no sense.
Slow as can be rendering it ineffective. I try to answer the doorbell on the app and the person is long gone by the time it finally opens. About 1/3 the time it generally doesn't open citing a failure to connect. System is new and issues are not due to equipment. ****Update to reply to developer: it is new hardware and my phone is on data with full signal. Never able to actually answer the doorbell.
I don't know a single smart device/home app that has an intuitive UX and this app is no exception. This app does have a straightforward homepage for viewing and setting the current state of connected devices, though it often cannot pull up my doorbell vid. However my biggest complaints seem to be issue with the entire industry: 1) a disconnect between the device manufacturers, installers, and service provider. 2) Automation is centered around "scenes" instead of specific control of devices.
This app is garbage. I add a user or attempt to change settings i.e. add a schedule to a user and it doesn't sync up with my base station. I have to manually add the user at the base station and even still it doesn't send me alerts when the new user disarms or arms my system. The support tab doesn't offer the ability to submit a trouble request by email, I have to call them directly. Absolute waste of time.
Overall it works well I like the app, it is user friendly and accurate. The only issue I have is that when there is a power outage, the instructions on the app are not accurate and I had to call technical support to add my door bell camera. The instructions he gave me were different from what it says on the instructions of the led colors. This needs to be updated in the app itself. Thanks!
This app is so easy to navigate around and helps with the safety of your home. The comfort of seeing what goes on at home when you away, arm and disarm your securities, operate the A/C, garage and the lighting system is simply put"Impeccable". There are so much that you can do with this app. Very highly recommended.
The app rarely connects when the doorbell is rung. If it does eventually, the person is long gone. My security company refuses to look at it but keeps telling me it is the wifi yet when I open the camera the live feed starts immediately so explain how this is a wifi issue? Can't get any assistance from the security company that installed it. At a loss here.
Worst App Ever - Especially For Rapid/Emergency Response. No false alarm cancel function. Also no ability to put system into test mode. Phone-in tech support is endless on-hold, which is fatal since it's the only link because text, chat, and/or email support are not provided. UPDATE: Response to Software Provider: Security dealer has zero texting, zero chat, zero email, and hours-long wait on-hold before random automated hang-up. Security dealer, a major player, has a long list with BBB.
Way too many notifications coming from this app. I get around 20 an hour, even though I keep adjusting the notifications settings. On top of that, I receive the same number of texts each hour to convey the same information TWICE. I see no way to unsubscribe my number within the app, I've even tried texting "Stop", nothing has worked. I honestly thought it was illegal to not stop texting someone after they texted "Stop". I reported their number as a spammer twice and I am still getting texts.
Constantly getting errors when locking the door. Says there's a lock malfunction and couldn't lock the door. The app says the door is still unlocked however I go check and it's locked, so then to get back inside I have to press the app to "lock" a second time to get the app to update properly and then hit "unlock". So frustrating. Then my ADT person is a no show after its scheduled and my doorbell still isn't synced but no ADT sure has no problem sending me a bill even when NOTHING F WORKS!!!
Quite literally useless in terms of help. We changed network providers and the cameras just stopped working, so we went to the troubleshooting section. Hint: it was absolutely no help whatsoever. We're stuck doing EXACTLY what it suggests over and again like crazy people with the exact same result. A "service" call is $100 (a waste of money if we are supposed to be able to do it on our own) and at this point it'd be worth it to pay an early termination fee to get something that fu🎉ing works!
Worst app ever. I need this app always available and ON and to work quickly to understand the status of my my business alarm. This stupid app automatically logs me out, requires two person authentication and then wants to send the code to electon heaven. I need a system that works, not a Mickey Mouse app.
Needs a dark mode for sure. Checking or changing the settings in the middle of the night is like turning a flashlight on even with the display dimmed to low settings.
Until recently, the app was basic but usable. Now, I cannot control the alarm with the app, the are no notifications, it's become useless.
App doesn't work properly, won't let you arm a system if a window is opened. Can't bypass any alarms without going to the wall panel and disabling the alarm first. Thought I was signing up for ADT this app makes it look like a Chinese company is running everything.
HORRIBLE APP NOTHING WORKS LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I wish I had never gotten this mess. The APP is WORTHLESS!!! camera does not capture and notify, and when it does decide to work the APP takes so long to connect..."not a wifi problem" as that has been addressed by the time it connects the person is gone.
The app is really convenient easy to navigate easy to use the only downfall is is that for some reason no matter how many times I've redownloaded or re added my phone it seems to have an issue with connecting to the IQ panel to disconnect the alarm whenever I am entering the home
Was 1 star, now 5 stars. Apparently all the issues w/ my security cameras constantly having issues streaming within the app all vanished, when my phone updated to Android 12 from 11. Couldn't tell you why this is, but nonetheless, everything is running flawlessly now.
The app is not allowing anyone to set the alarm from their phone. The only way to set the alarm is to use the key fob or manually. This is not convenient when your at work or away from the home.
I can't really say I am impressed with the fact that the video doorbell loads so slowly, even on the alarm panel (which is also Android based) that by the time I get to my front door it is already done loading the footages. Also unlike the desktop interface I cannot seem to find anyway to control the schedule in which to turn off the alarm, and I really do not want to use my computer to change the schedule. First fix the slowness of the camera 1Gbps (400Mbps Broadcast) is more than enough.
As others have stated, the app worked great for the last 8 to 10 months. However, now it doesn't arm or disarm the system 75% of the time, and when it does, it takes forever to update. As other have also mentioned connection to doorbell camera is spotty at best. The app is almost worthless now.
Nice app with required features and easy of use. Only thing missing is schedule option for activating scenes, it would be great if this is added.
Overall it's a good app. I never really have issues except 1 issue that happens every so often. I will get a notification but when I go to "saved" to review/playback the notification is not there. The last "saved" update I have of notifications is May 18th. It did this to me once before and I don't remember how it got fixed. Other then this issues everything else works great!
