■ How to turn off the alarm ? (Picture dismiss mode)
- Register a place where you want to turn off the alarm.
- When alarm starts ringing, you will have to go to the registered place and take a picture.e.g.) If bathroom is the registered place, wake up and take a picture of the bathroom.
■ Tip
- good place to register : far from bed (bathroom sink is the best!)
- bad place to register : brightness changes frequently or close to your bed.
- If the currently registered alarm picture is too easy or too difficult to turn off, please register a new place :)

I love the app but there's a major problem. It happens about once a week which is really frustrating. I'll get two problems I solve, then it just keeps giving me more problems, no matter how many I complete the alarm won't shut off. I have to restart my phone in order to fix it, then the alarm will go off at random and I have to shut it off again. I'm not sure if this problem is specific to the math problems, but please fix this. I'm tired of groggily realizing I've solved 7 problems to no avail
Alarmy used to be really great, until it added the bane of all apps. Aggressive ads. Not only does it make for a bad user experience (I can't tell you how many times I've gone to do a challenge alarm half asleep and hit an ad instead), but I've also found recently that they will actually make the app UNUSABLE, as ads are being fired off so fast one after the other that it will slow down the app's other processes dramatically, making alarms less of a challenge and more of a chore.
Only some of my alarms are going off and not consistently enough to figure out why they're not going off. This is a new development but it's been detrimental enough that I have been almost late to work multiple times now. Extremely upsetting. Most likely going to have to cancel my premium membership and go back to using my default alarm clock. I've been using this app for almost 4 years now and have never had any issues of this magnitude
I like the app, but it messes with my security settings. My phones set so you can't see any of my notifications or messages when locked on a drop down menu. But once the alarm is cleared and goes to the news channel page, you can read all my new messages and alerts while their screen is open. Idk if this happens with all ios. But samsung s20 and s22 it does. Would have given a higher rating if it didn't mess with security or privacy.
I loved this app and now I'm searching for a new one. You used to be able change the settings so that you could not turn off your phone when the alarm is ringing. I cannot find that feature anymore which basically makes this app useless. Now I just turn my phone off and set 5-6 timers on my smartwatch and get up an hour later than intended. Disappointing. Please message me if I'm wrong and missing it in the settings and I will bump my review back up.(although it should be easy to find)
Warning: may brick your phone! Over the last two weeks the alarms have been failing to alert me; the interface is present but the sound/vibration isn't. I uninstalled today after it happened again, however this time I couldn't exit the alarm screen, couldn't restart or close the app, couldn't do anything. My phone was bricked. Eventually I had to hard reboot, which took almost 40 minutes and majorly inconvenienced my morning. Do not use if your job requires you to be on call.
Used to be my favorite alarm app until the devs decided to turn it into a $ubscription $ervice, which is absolutely ridiculous for *AN ALARM CLOCK*. Deleting and moving on to any longer of the many FREE alternatives out there. And as a parting note I would have been happy to pay a one time fee, or a remove ads charge etc, but forcing your customers to pay *continuously* for features that were once free is everything that's wrong with the modern market. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
I really like this app, been using it for almost 3 years but it hasn't been reliable recently. Sometimes it just won't ring at all and I've done all the recommended actions (autostart permission, exclusion from battery saver etc.) I also use the gradually increase volume setting and something weird keeps happening. While it is ringing (low volume for a while 'cause I set it to increase over 30 mins) if a notification from another app plays, it stops the alarm completely. (Android 8,free version)
It's always been the perfect app to keep me productive. But, recently I can just say "Bixby reboot" and the phone restarts and the alarm stops. Before I couldn't and it didn't allow me to turn off an alarm 20 minutes before it sounded. Now I can't wake up at the time I'm supposed to an It's so annoying because I have my time calculated, but when my alarms don't sound my schedule is completely ruined.
I love it but sometime the alarm doesn't go off at all. It's happened 3 times in the last 3 months and I've been late for work. I just found out when you click on the ad when the alarm does off you can shut down the app without having to do the puzzle or go take the picture. Maybe move the ad?
I've been using this app for a while, mainly because I haven't bothered to find a replacement. With the recent birthday celebration offering a few t-shirts instead of making massive changes, I wanted to air my grievance. These people are crooked, locking many useful features behind a monthly paywall even though no apps charge monthly for unlocked features except for things like streaming services. Look for one with similar features that you can pay once or get for free.
Avoid! Used to be good but now riddled with bugs. For example, the alarm will not turn off if 'Wake Up Check' mode is activated - it just keeps returning after one minute. I had to turn my phone off just to get the phone to stop. The worst part... I'm paying for this app!!! No more, today I'm cancelling my subscription and uninstalling.
Loved this app. Re-downloaded it every time I bought a new phone. Not sure if it's a new update or what buts it's stopped being reliable. I have to open it every night to get it to start working again, but it's stopped going off in the morning more and more often. (No, it's not my settings, I've already checked).
The only app that gets me to get up in the morning. love it. Update: Have to change my 5 star review to a 1 star review because the app is actually flawed to a point where it is unusable. The photo mission is bugged as hell and for some reason I cant mute the alarm during the mission even though I activated mute during mission in the settings. Can't recommend an app that only seems to work on the surface.
Absolutely love this app. I would be nowhere in life without this app. It has saved me so many time. Sometimes I will wake up and turn off the last minute changes so it doesn't wake my gf then fall back asleep. I highly recommend to the developers for users to be able to take off alarms they hate, loud alarm sound 4 is triggering for me with ptsd but I need random play so I don't get used to one sound. Also to have the alarms reset to go off the next day instead of having to reset them
It's the most incredible thing ever! If you set a time this thing will make noise and wake you at that time!!!!! Who knew such a thing existed! In all seriousness the volume of this thing is a lifesaver. Wake up check is a awesome feature too because I fall back asleep and could sleep through a tornado.
I loved this app before the adds. The "Today" dashboard thing is god awful, keeps your screen on and drains the battery and the touch box for the close out X is purposefully off center from the image and very small, Which basically mean you are mashing the close X for a sold 10 or 15 seconds before the damn thing will close. Lately I'm having an issue where the whole app minimizes itself after a second or two of being open. Pretty much useless now.
Great alarm app that really works. I'm a heavy sleeper, so having a loud alarm that forces me out of bed has been a lifesaver. Four stars instead of five because I genuinely dislike the coddling overdramatic "life affirmations" that appear after each alarm, with no option to disable them. I understand the good intention behind it (believe me, I have severe depression), but an alarm app telling me that it desperately wishes it could make life better feels pretty contrived.
Love it.. it's the alarm that never gives up. And if your a heavy sleeper like I am this is a life saver. The loud alarms will get through to you. What ads there are really aren't irritating or in your face. I've never had one interrupt my alarm either like some do. Thanks guys for a great app .. eventually I'll probably go paid but the free version is great.. and greatly appreciated.
Recently encountering a lot of problems, one being, if you have the wakeup check on as a memory problem and you try and close the app without completing it, you'll be met with your phone freezing and glitching up as it breaks your phone and you're left with 5 minutes of your alarm at max volume, even if you try and turn it down it will be turned up again
As a user for 4-5+ years, I've had enough. It was great when it was an upfront payment for an ad-free experience but over the years they have changed to a subscription model ON TOP of already paying for the app. The features are nothing special (all the other popular alarm apps have them - QR, math, movement, etc), looks like the developers got overly greedy and it shows.
Paid version, of course. Worked for years. Didn't work this morning. Overslept as a result. Open app, and it stops. Open again and it crashes again. Restarted my phone. Same thing. It opens and immediately crashes. I guess I'll be looking for a new alarm app. Update... changing to 4 stars (from 1) for now. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Seems to be working again. Hopefully, it will wake me on time tomorrow!
Use to be a lot better... It's not as user friendly as previously and it glitches quite a bit. Also the idea of a subscription alarm doesn't really sit well with me... Still if you need to get up at specific times this is a solid app to go try.
I love Alarmy! It's the first alarm that is loud enough and *usually* always wakes me up! I'm a mostly heavy sleeper and it takes a really good alarm to get me to put a review on it. This alarm has math questions that I do in the morning to make it stop. But there's also options like shaking it, squats, memory game, etc. I don't have the Premium version but this app is worth it to build habits I want and make myself get up in the morning for real. Overall I really like this app. The only point I have, that I'd like to see changed is the snooze function. For me, it would be great to have an option to set an individual snooze length, since for me 1 minute is too short, but 5 minutes are too long
Great when it works; however, it is extremely inconsistent and I can't depend on it to go off in the morning, which is obviously problematic. I have checked my phone settings every time and they are set appropriately. I really liked it overall, but I'm going to have to find another app.
I love this app. I think something that would help me out is being able to group alarms together like a folder of some sort. I personally need to set more than one alarm because I'll sometimes accidentally go back to sleep, or so I can have "ten more minutes" before I have to get up.
As others mentioned, Alarmy is not consistently working. It seems to lack full compatiblity with Android 12 (which many of us have force-updated to, unfortunately). I have been late to work more times than I can count since the update. I am now able to completely turn my phone off in the middle of a mission (I couldn't before). I will need to cancel my premium membership until these bugs are fixed. I've been using the app for about 4 years now and I hate to leave it, but I need an alternative.
