Been getting "connection failure has occurred" for months. I saw someone else's review and tried using data rather than wifi and it works fine that way. Once it's open, the app is fine. Easy to navigate and does what I need it to.
I use this app exclusively to deposit checks so I can't comment on the other features. The check recognition software is terrible and will instantly snap a photo of any check-shaped object set in front of your camera. The problem is that it does this automatically and you have no control of whether the camera is in focus or properly positioned first, so you have to retake the picture over and over to ensure it is clear.
This app is very frustrating. It seems like every time I need to log in it uploads someone's profile picture and won't let me log in. It tells me I have the wrong username and password. Im trying to log in now and it says error can't load page. Please fix your app this is very frustrating especially when you only use it once a month to pay a bill. Thank you
This app was great when it finally got the fingerprint enabling ability. However now the prompt to use fingerprint just repops up and doesnt actually log me in. When I log in manually in the profile, the app just freezes up and does not allow me to enable it anymore and I have to force quit the app. This bug needs to be addressed before I can give a better rating. it works occasionally when I delete the app and reinstall it but then it does it again :(
Have been trying to login for 3 months. It says error. Called the service center and they can log me in just fine. Cannot log in with my phone or computer, in wifi or data! Cannot log in using Google or my secure browser either! Tried changing password and that didn't work either! App will not download either!
This app is not very user friendly. Unfortunately my overall experience with AKUSA has not been that great. I have already closed my credit card account and plan on closing my entire account once my credit line has been settled. The branch staff is GREAT. The call center and online staff not so much.
Having issues with getting real time account information. Pending transactions are not even showing up. VERY frustrating as I have used this app for years. I was going to uninstall and then reinstall but from reviews, it looks like that makes it worse.
Update. It's fixed and works perfect like before. Thank you! .....Previous post "Every time I try to open it it crashes. It always worked great for me before. I have full bars with my connection. Just started yesterday so I hope this bug gets fixed soon".
Great app untill you use the remote deposit. Its the worst, suppose to be a convenient option for depositing a paper check into the bank of you dont have time to run to the bank that is untill you need the money in the bank the next day and they put a hold on it and tell you there is nothing they will do about it even if you make time to go to the bank with the check in hand they still wont do anything about it!
Please add a feature that will allow us to be notified, if our card is used or any kind of transaction take place based on our notification criteria. For example, if I want to be notified for all transactions over 10.00, then I will receive a message or text/push notification of this.
I have not been able to login through the app since I switched phones back in November. It keeps prompting me for my fingerprint despite having just accepted it. When I enter my user and password manually it's says I've "entered an invalid user ID or Personal Access Code, or have exceeded the maximum number of login attempts" yet I have no issues when I login through a browser. I can't even tell you what features are available because I'm not able to login.
The app stopped recognizing my fingerprint and even though I did everything to reauthorize the biometric/fingerprint logon, it wouldn't work. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app solved that problem. It is now back to 100% functionality. Otherwise the app layout and functions are awesome!!
App does not work anymore, can't log in, load up the app properly or anything. You guys need to fix this app asap cause it's being going on far too long. If you guys do care for your customers you guys would fix the app, not have your customers send an email to a support line.
I will say, I love this app. HOWEVER, it crashed on me last weekend. I forced stopped 29846391x. (Yeah maybe so over reaction there.) It wouldnt even update my balance right after I deposited money. It had used to ALWAYS show the new balance once refreshed. I'd only ever had to force stop it a handful of times prior to this. I also don't like how you end the app and can go back in it and you're still logged in. It really should automatically do it like others I have. I'm going to retry it.
I spent so many months and hours working with this app and my phone finally getting it to work, only to find out that Alaska CU charges business account holders $35 per month to capture or scan checks via your phone or scanning device for deposit. Off to another bank we go, this is not acceptable because all the while they have been telling us the problem was on our end but never mentioning the $35 fee, I had to find this out searching thru their FAQ and it was buried deep. TCF bank was so much better. Kinda knew something was up when nothing worked right from the jump when Alaska purchased TCF. If you need simple personal account info on your phone then the app might be okay, we had problems getting the screen on the phone to increase our view.
Love AK USA, but the app has really gone down hill the past few weeks. The load times are crazy bad, sometimes not even loading pages or functions at all. The little circle just keeps spinning. And yes, I tried uninstalling an reinstalling.
Functional app, fav credit union. always helpful and kind, REAL people when I seek assistance (far as representatives and whatnot go), which I really appreciate. the app is an easy way to access basically everything you could need from your bank, from yo phone; 5/5, never glitchy and biometric ID is a cool feature!
The app is still missing some basics - being able to view and to deal with account alerts. I was assured a few years ago this was being added, but you still have to use a browser if you want to know what triggered the notice. Otherwise, no problems.
Very rough application. can't access information on my car loan, only thing shown is the total outstanding balance and the next payment. Unable to use bill pay. i back with other Banks and credit unions and their apps are much better.
I'm having the same issue as Alec. I used to once very easily be able to log in with my fingerprint and it would stay registered. Now, I have to use my login and password every time even after pressing the option to keep your fingerprint saved.
Hey! Nothing is showing up on the login page in the app! It's just a blank white page. I just reinstalled the app, restarted my phone, and cleared my cache. Same problem! There's no way to enter my username or password at all!
Runs slow. App shurs shuts down as well. Reccomend using online only. App needs the bugs fixed. Also freezes and I have to either shut it down and try again. I give up. If it gets fixed I hope it works better
keeps failing when I want to do remote deposit. I need to uninstall and then re-install the app with each check. annoying I'm still having this same issue. sometimes uninstalling the app doesn't help. EDIT 4/8/19 Now even if I uninstall the app it won't let me deposit checks. It keeps giving me the same error that i need to check my internet connection! EDIT 11/27/19 Now getting an error to retake the front image... After my 15th attempt and reinstalling the app, no luck...I hate this buggy app
App is taking forever to load. Checked for updates, updated and its STILL having problems. Having a time accessing my account. This has been going on for quite some time. Please fix it Alaska USA.
For right now I am only giving 3 Stars because just in the last week or so, I frequently get an error when I either put in my account (ID) # or my Password. This is very frustrating. Been happening, I believe, since app last down time.
It's 2020 why can't apps just work now? I enrolled my new account and chose biometric log in. My user ID is a bunch of numbers and I couldn't figure out how to change that. I knew this would be an issue later and sure enough I want to log into the app and it's asking me for my user ID and not allowing me to use my fingerprint scanner. This bank needs to find a real app development company, with today's technology there shouldn't be remedial problems like this.
This app was fine until recently. Now the login screen freezes and refuses to even go past the initial log on. I can't even enter my password because it will not move forward to that screen. Now it's saying I have too many "attempts" at loging in? What attempts can I even make when it freezes and makes it impossible to attempt? Thanks for fradulently locking me out of my bank account.
