If you are an Alberta Blue Cross plan member you can use this app to view your claim and benefit information and• Submit claims, if your plan allows this, and upload receipts if requested • Check to see if a claim you recently submitted has been received and processed• Find out important information about your benefits, including o Plan rules, o Next eligibility for product or service (such as dental check up or glasses) o What has been used to date• Arrange for off-line access to your ID card, and• View emergency contact information and claiming tips for use when traveling out of province.
Just sign in using your Alberta Blue Cross group number, ID number and password. Not registered yet? Simply visit www.ab.bluecross.ca and click on the Sign in button to navigate to the member web site where you can register for access to all our web services.

This app is buggy and doesn't work half the time, fom having security pinning errors and biometrics not working at Login, to problems saying that my device has no PDF readers installed when I try to open our Explanation of Benefits when I have three different ones installed that work with all the other apps fine. Functions and features not as good as G.W.L. or Equitable Life even. Very poor. Response from the developer telling me to download the newest version; I already did that, no difference

Not very user friendly. Additionally you can't take screenshots, and for some reason none of my pdf handlers on my phone are sufficient to open the pdf that is created after submitting a claim.

I'm unable to change my direct deposit information. I put some wrong information in and it says my claim was direct deposited into my account but I didn't receive it because of an error I made. Every time I try to correct it nothing happens. Not very happy with this app!! Update - they fixed the issue and I have had no problems with direct deposit. Thank you 😊!!!

All I want to do is look up what I have for my benefits and everytime I sign in it says I can't do anything from the app I have to go to the member website to see my benefits and I can't see them when I click on the link to the website it gives me either. This is so frustrating.

It always a pain to connect the fitbit for the trackers. This time im completely unable to connect my fitbit to the Bluecross app. It should not be this hard to connect the fitbit.

Recently it has been super glitchy (yes it is up to date). When accessing Old statements (less then 1 year old) it says that the service is unavailable. The app shuts down every single time I try to see what benefits are available to me. It also just gives me a loading screen for my health spending account. I'm sure that these will be fixed as the app use to work perfectly and made my life easy. Now not so much.

Looks great, functionality not so much. I like the functions they're adding to Balance but it's not translating very well onto the app version as on desktop and I use the app most. They've done a revamp of the Balance site with features I love - when it works. As it is it's hard for my phone to load without super data access, which is hard to get in rural Alberta. I'm more of a less fancy, more function kind of person.

Not great. The app is more work than it's worth at the moment. I keep putting in claims and it loses the data partway through. It has an option to edit but won't allow you to resend info once it's been input. I have tried several times to resend the data and haven't had any luck. This app needs more work

Well blue cross Dev. I can tell you that it is not a blackberry issue but more likely a physical keyboard issue with your app. My wife is a blackberry key2 and I use a unihertz titan both android os are up-to-date and both have physical keyboards. Neither device will allow data entry t log into accounts. Also worth noting we can log in online through a web browser. Made figure it out before live bata testing such a change during a global pandemic. Lame!

After Blue Cross updated their app, I can no longer sign in! I've deleted and reinstalled it about 10x. Guess if you don't go with the flow and get a 5G phone you're screwed. Just another problem with having to constantly change. If it's not broken don't fix it. We did fine up until all this technology interfered in our lives.

Alberta Blue Cross Members App is a great app to use. With this it eliminates 98% to all paper needed for filing claims or other resources, making it much more environmentally friendly. It is easy and simple to use, the help, tips and info they have lead you through or to what you need and everything is now, mostly all in one place. Love being able to not only complete everything within the app, but submit directly, check the status and upload documentation if or where needed. Great app!

Easy to use, however I didn't see any menu that followed me through each page for easy navigation out of where I was. Had to repeatedly press back to get out. Not terrible, but would prefer a nav. menu at the top for easy maneuverability.

Can't even log in it just freezes Update The new update works to log in but now it says "we thought you left " and just signs me out over and over Update clearing cache deleting app and redownloading did not fix the problem. Update I logged in online and it worked so nothing in the app. Update. Awesome let me know when u guys have it fixed and I'll check it out again. Thanks!

Update : App now works! I just wish there was a way I could submit preauthorization forms. Previous review: App no longer works on Samsung galaxy s9 as of the latest update. Initial screen displays when the app is opened, but instantly crashes as soon as you press anything.

This app makes benefits MORE complicated. I cannot even log into the app anymore. Edit: I have reinstalled after a few days and the app seems to be working now. The only downside is that the information I needed to retrieve for my secondary benefit company was unable to be screenshot.

App freezes after utilizing the autofill for userid and password as offered in Android. This app stopped working after app update for option for biometric. Same problem with Android 11 and 10. I was able to sign in when manually entering userid and password. As my biometric is facial this option was skipped when I was finally able to log in.

The most recent update has caused the app to be very glitchy/laggy in Balance. Having to click on things twice because it's either not registering or it dimmed the screen like it was going to do what you wanted but then never brings it up.

Definitely NOT Fixed. I can't change focus from the username to the password without triggering some incorrect validation of the user name not to mention it's deleted the actual desktop shortcut link. Wish i could get in to evaluate the actual functionality. Ridiculous!

Garbage, you can't paste your user name or password. In today's age with password management apps you would expect that an blue cross app would allow paste. It was allowed on an older version of the app. Basically now it's not usable as my password app passwords are. Almost impossible to remember.

User friendly and easy to use. The recent upgrade is visually appealing and the biometrics is an added benefit. The menu options text could be bigger/scaled to my screen.

Update: app works well now. Thanks for fixing it has to be updated daily and you can't check the amount left in your health spending account. Update: Nov 2020 An update occurred without proper testing and the app will not work. Keeps crashing and will not let you in

The app is useless. When trying to login, can't get beyond the user ID field. Won't let me enter my password. Un-installed it and re-installed but same issue. Not impressed.

*** Updated to say that it seems to be working alright now. Still getting used to it! *** No longer works. Click on "sign in" and out crashes every time. I don't know what they rest of it is like because I can't go any farther.

It's a good app to check most of your insurance info, but not all. My main complaint is that I cannot open up my HSA without the app crashing. 3 star until this issue has been resolved.
