I find this app very useful. It allows me to stay more in tune with the smaller towns and areas surrounding my home, things I would otherwise not know unless I watched news all the time or 'stumbled' on a source, usually past its relativity. It's also really good to have for travel too! Especially for those who work out of town or visit/pass through rural areas.

I get the alarm but can't get the info that goes with it. I tried many times following the prompts to get alerts for certain areas but there is no next step after I've picked my town...it just sits there or worse erases what I just spent 10 minutes trying to input. very frustrating.

Update this App with some semblance of control over the Alerts please. For example, the ability to silence ongoing alerts which are out of your immediate area of concern. The ablity to choose which types of emergency alerts will sound an audible alarm or no alarm but on screen notifications or some other option. I expect more from an app of this importance, this makes me remove the app! Woken Into a states of anxiety over evacuation notices and amber alerts more that half the province away.

I like being aware of what is happening in my home province, and this app is how that is done. Only thing is that I have lost my tone for the app I had before, and it was replaced by a tone that is not even in my list. I was unable to find how to change the tone to a tone of my choice. Otherwise, this app has been fantastic. Update; months later and still no information on choosing my choice of tone. I guess they ask you questions but don't care about your answer.

I really like being kept up to date on serious issues in my province, especially since I have relatives from Lethbridge all the way up to Fox Creek, and friends in Grande Prairie as well. Getting the Amber Alerts as soon as they are issued, is also appreciated. And of course having the maps and colour coding for the alerts is a real aid. Warnings and instructions are kept reasonably short and have all the information to keep me up to the minute, up to date. Alarm is scary, but that's good, lol.

The app is good for receiving emergency alerts but the sound is so loud. My ears are really sensitive and it would be nice to lower the sound a little bit so the sound isn't screaming directly in my ear when I'm holding my phone or when its next to me.

The alert sound is deafening!!!! And you can't adjust the volume! In theory you can choose to receive alerts for only certain areas but I still get alerts for no where close to where I live. Frustrating!

The tone scares the hell out of me but is important to ensure safety. The tone is made for you to be able to wake up if you are sleeping and your phone/TV is quieter its made to still wake you up. I feel that an app like this is crucial to those who dont watch TV a lot and for those dont have a phone.

The app is pretty good but audible notification should be louder in case phone not close by. Previous audible alert was excellent at getting attention. And with events in Nova Scotia this past weekend more interagency relationships must be improved and implemented.

A great way to alert everyone but no way to cancel the incessant alerts. It has been going off for 4.5 hours now every few minutes even after it was cancelled 1.5 hrs ago. Enough already. We get it. I may need to delete the app before I lose my mind!!!!

Love the app. Having friends and family all over Alberta, I've been able to notify them numerous times of different kinds of pending or in progress situations that they were completely unaware of. It's very handy. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I have had no problems with this app. If the aim is to get information out to the general public as soon as possible, it is easily a success. I am by no means an expert on this but I personally would like to "see" some kind of an audible or sound with these alerts, depending on what the alert is and it's severity.

This is a very crucial part to public notification in the event of emergencies and I would like to thank the province for providing this service.

Apr 28/2020 App appears to be working as it did before. Will update if that changes. Apr 20/2020 App suddenly keeps crashing. Was working great for years. Will update once it's fixed.

It's great when it's working. There have been a number of alerts that I didn't recieve. I only knew of them because other people recieved the alerts. I did check my settings to make sure they were correct, and they were. So I don't think it's a reliable source for emergency information.

I find the apps have useful information. I have thankfully not been directly affected but like to know what events are happening to avoid the areas. If there was an emergency, I would like to be warned!

Appreciate the weather alerts and their reliability. It is useful to be able to follow specific locales and/or an entire province. It is extremely beneficial to follow out-of-province locales so that I can warn family nembers that do nit have a television, rafio or cell-phone (yes, there are peopke who still go along in life without technology). I am able to check up on a sibling (senior) who lives on their own and only has a landline & warn her of incoming inclement weather.

The updates are interesting and are mostly accurate when looked at with news stories. Updates more frequently would be a good improvement since it can be days between them.

Lacks weather & civil alerts that other province's emergency alert apps have. Edit: At the same time, I reviewed Saskatchewan Emergency Alerts app, saying they included weather alerts. Two weeks later, on the same day, Saskatchewan Emergency Alert app thanked me for my comment, then 25 minutes later, Albert Emergency Alert app says they don't included weather alerts because they "do not constitute an immediate danger to life". It's a h*ll of a coincidence that both reply to my reviews 25 minutes apart, two weeks after the reviews.

Lots of info available on here, and is a nice suppliment to the Emergency Broadcasting System. When an Amber Alert blasts me out of bed at 3am, it's nice to have further info with maps after I panic-close the broadcast. I also use it to look out for family up north, what with all the fires. Great app.

I'm in a dense shelter belt and can't really see what's happening around me. These alerts are very useful and give me time to move my vehicles and equipment into my out buildings. They also give me time to seek shelter myself. Handy...mighty handy!

This a wonderful service and I feel grateful that I live in an age where the flow of information is so fast acting. I do, however, wish there was a recognition button to press once the information has been read so the alarm goes off only once.

Ron. Jun 5, 2021

Alert only shows up with no sound alert. The sound worked at one time, since changes were made to Alberta Emergency Alert it hasn't worked right since.

Joc. H. Apr 19, 2020

Have all of Alberta selected due to business travel, but only half the alerts issued actually pop in the app. App needs additional work for stability and to ensure all alerts are sent through.

Jer. Z. Nov 4, 2019

Good app but you can maybe add provinces to add on, it only show cities and town and our province, not the other provinces. Please, if you can, try to fix it? Thanks.

Keeps me notified on bad weather however have yet to receive the "practice emergency alert " Apparently had one today at 1:00 PM and heard nothing. It didn't notify me. My phone is new and updated so not a problem on my end. Too bad.

Spe. Jul 15, 2019

Helpful esp. since my current phone does not receive the civil broadcast emergency alerts; this app fills the gap. pair it with Cdn Red Cross app & their emergency alerts, And The Weather Network and their severe weather alerts and you are well covered. Keep safe so you & yours can enjoy your plans & activities. Cheers🤠

Only issue is that the volume should be lowered if you on a call. It went off while on a call & it actually hurt. Other wise a fantastic service to have.
