A single app for AHS means that Albertans will be able to find official AHS content and functionality without sorting through the hundreds of thousands of available apps or loading a webpage. We will continue to add to it as we are able to provide more features.
Emergency Department Wait Times & Important Contacts You can now access real-time estimated wait times for Calgary and Edmonton emergency departments and urgent care centres through the AHS App. This tool is designed to help Albertans decide where to access care for themselves and their families. Anyone needing emergency care is always reminded to call 911, or to go to the nearest emergency department. The wait times App estimates how long it takes for patients to be seen by a physician once a triage nurse has assessed them. Wait times do not represent the total time patients may spend at the hospital or urgent care centre, or in line for triage. Please remember, we provide care to the most critical cases first.
The goal is to continue to expand this service to other areas of the province.

- list view showing all the wait times for the Calgary Zone and Edmonton Zone
- map view showing your current location and the wait times of nearby facilities

This worked really well until the last update. since then, it goes to the tutorials (6 pages) and doesn"t allow you to actually access the app. I use a Blackberry Key2LE. Android.
Unfortunately, the app doesn't go past the fisrt few tutorial pages. I hope the app developing team reads the comments and take a meaningful action. In the meantime, the app gets only two stars from me.
Yep, same problem as others have described. Useless app, can't get past the 6 pages of tutorial screens. Well done!
Since covid19 got into this app i can no longer go to the staff page to access my work program.... and I wrote the earlier statement some months ago... ahs get it together!!! We r supposed to be able to use our phones to access our emails and our other services... this is now November 1 and still no repair... is there a glitch in the program or are you all just trying to hide things from everyone? Without prejudice , ill will.. vexation.. or malice.. we just wish to use the direct programing.
Since the update i cant get out of the tutorial. All i see are 6 pages to scroll back left and right. When it was working, it was great.
I want to get my blood tested Over 1100 results. Do I choose services or facilities? Then 99% of the results are for something else. What it immediately should should show is the nearest lab. Getting rid of this app and going to attempt the website.
Can't fine the app for parking in a emergency don't have money to pay and don't credit card this app is too hard it should be easier to use for every day people .... Not happy stress outdone need a ticket whom ever made this site. Really not thinking about every one's needs....
Useless, new version will not work on my phone. As with others I can't get past the screen tutor. No way to get into the app.

I open the app, and can not get beyond the tutorial at the start. Better off using the website instead.
The what's new splash pages that are bragging about the apps capabilities don't go away so you cannot get into the actual app

Wait times match what is posted at each emerg (+/- time to update ). So useful to compare times if you are trying to decide which hospital to go to, or to know in advance what kind of wait to expect. TO ALL WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT WAIT TIME INACCURACY: all emergency wait times are estimates based on current patient load. This can change at anytime due to urgent cases that may arrive: minor things (earaches) can get pushed back for hours in order to see more urgent patients. This is as it should be!
A great addition would be a digital wallet to store photos of all your family members care cards.

Literally useless. Consider linking in to the provincial health system so that we can see official records of our covid immunization. Or covid tests like British Columbians have access to...
App gives you approximate wait time, doesn't include seeing a Dr, add another 2 hours.
this is the second hospital I've been at for over 3 hours when the waiting times said 2 hours for one and half an hour for this one. The wait times listed are not accurate

Wow, I've used some bad apps, but this one takes the cake. I was told I could use this app to find out wait times at my local clinic, but my clinic isn't even in the app. It will show up in the predictive text in the search when I start typing the name, but not in the search results. Found several bugs in just minutes of use (eg: if you search with an empty field, it crashes) Only good for finding out wait times for emergency clinics, but otherwise, it does what google maps does but worse.
