I really wanted to like this game... spent about 2 hours grinding and trying to make some progress in the game, but the battle animations are annoyingly slow, and the first boss is very difficult if you aren't over-levelled :/ it's a shame because the art is really fantastic, but this is just not a good source of casual fun. Seems better suited to a proper gaming system and not just a phone game
It's a very good and underrated game. It feels so nostalgic. However we only have like 1 storage at home. It's very difficult to store all of items without clogging your bag. The shop mechanic is fun. However, the quests are too hard and the only option is to grind for a long time. The community is lacking, no tutorials, no tips and tricks and no commentary, Just let's play. Which makes it harder to move forward. I wish I could start one but I'm too nooby.
Replaying in anticipation of Part 2!! I'm enjoying the game more this time. Dialogue is overbearing at times, but easy enough to skip. Some of the characters are really likeable. Trying to play all the side quests first this time, to make it feel more complete. I've grown to like the mixing method. Shop mechanism might need improving - it's a bit jarring that the entire store has to close if you don't guess the right price. Tip for new players: grind as much gold as you can early on.
I don't usually leave reviews but I feel obligated to leave one for this beautiful game, it's kept me entertained and busy, it has an interesting story, likeable characters, great mechanics and loads to do, I only have one... gripe? I guess, and that's that attempting to level up is slow and taxing, even by rpg standards and the enemies go from too easy to nearly one hit kills from zone to zone which combined with the slow leveling makes for a very difficult time, overall I still enjoyed it.
Not gonna lie I rated this game a long time ago and I never wrote my full review so here it is: The gameplay is terrific and driven as well as the crafting system they both work hand and hand. The story is a bit confusing on certain parts but the more you play the more certain events make sense. The crafting system is very interesting, I loved the turn based battle system and how strategy plays a big part in the game All in all good game and I look forward to the next installment
Adorable little game. Has a great feedback loop of collecting materials for enhanced fighting and collecting more materials. Combat is engaging and quite tactical further in. Alchemy system can be difficult but rewarding to make up for failures. Shop mechanic is cool, but gold has limited use even when progressed to the second dungeon, though that's likely to change later on. Movespeed a little slow for map size in and out of Dungeon, but tolerable. Eager to see where this game goes from here.
Awesome gameplay. I personally enjoy the gathering and crafting aspects of the game. Though I'm not a fan of limited storage because i'm a hoarder. Another turn-off is the level cap, but the developer said that the cap is there so you'll be able to enjoy the next major update and not be to overpowered. I don't have too many issues with this, except it's been a year or two since the last major update.
The game reminds me a fair bit of recettear. Alchemica is, a great game for thode who enjoy grinding, collecting and selling things. The dungeons are straightforward and helps the player stay on the focus of the game (Alchemy). With that said, it feels like the stats you collect while leveling Charlotte seem to have 0 effect on the game. the luk, atk and def stats did not seem to change anything at all. also, the bazaar and quests don't always seem to work as intended. 4/5 try it for sure!
The game is GREAT!!! The crafting system is good, gaining levels when crafting is also a nice touch. The things that would make it better is to make the battle animations slightly faster and smoother and have more variety of recipes in game. Overall, the you did a good job.
Fantastic game. The fact that you are functionally forced to use the items you craft provides a unique experience for people like me who usually hoard consumables. And I still get to indulge that mindset by being conservative with usage and running from battles, which cuts down on grind and lets me sell more. I also love that you can discover alchemy recipes manually though maybe it's borrowed excitement since it's less fun getting the recipe later.
Interesting that combat revolves practically entirely around consumable items. The highly random monster stats and action effects do cheapen the experience some. Also, save at end of day makes great sense from a in-world perspective, it makes for very long play sessions; not particularly appropriate for a mobile game.
I just love it ❤ i played it before but my phone got broken and i lost it back then... So beautiful, so smooth, so mysterious and it has alot to offer like fun sidequests and nice NPCs... like i said i really love it and im still waiting and usually checking for the release of chapter 2... Good job developpers, im so excited for what you gonna bring in the next chapter ☺ 5 stars cuz you deserve it ❤
I absolutely love the game! But i cant seem to get to the waterway area! I've looked at everything i could think of and there's no guide! I love the characters, art, sound, controls, story, i just wish i could find out how to get to the area.
I love it, The story is nice, crafting system is fun, grinding is also not hard the game is smooth so far no bugs but I have one problem ,it's with the mages guy near the fountain when I finish an ad I cannot get the reward because app market always block my screen after each ad so If I press the X button it just go back without giving me the rewards plss fix this if this is fix I will give 5 star because the only problem I have
I really love this game.. more than I thought I would. It's really Amazing and fun. Kinda tough getting past the first bo loss but so far really good. The attention to detail, especially Charlotte's blown up alchemist table. I also think it's cool that the ad content is mostly optional. Thanks for a cool game.. I'd love to change the hair though.. short and orange.... Not my style lol.. thanks again
Very fun. Feels like a real game and well worth the time. Very rewarding. Remember to take all items after a battle at the top left of the rewards and progress screen. Also watch through a full ad once per game day with the wizard at the fountain to get great items!
3 stars for now. there is a graphic bug when collecting materials facing right. a white line at the bottom. and walking animation is quite dragging. could be smoother. overall i enjoy this game and looking forward further development. good.job.
Utterly amazing for a free game, its expansive and large, and although it gets a bit grindy at points its not a problem at later points. The ads are minimal and very non intrusive, I almost feel bad for not paying!
to long to get really running. recipes are a mini game and easily findable in Wikipedia. alot of fun was sapped out by repeatable battles at low lvl (if im high enough def that they can do no dmg why cant i hit a single button auto kill them reap the goodies and move on in 7 seconds flat!). harvesting is a chore barely fun and the hopping back to your alchemy station long wnough to make 1,2 or a million healz to run right back in to a procedure gen dungeon is annoyanceing
One minor annoyance. After defeating enemies you do not autocollect the items dropped. Might be for stronger enemies later on but if there was an autocollect option that would be cool.
enjoying the very much, just what i was looking for, only thing is there is so little items you can hold at a time, same with the storage. in the next update, please can you make it so you can hold more items. thanks
It's fun and I really enjoy the game, but...The potion system is a pain. Some recipes have four colors you have to match and some have three, and it's also near impossible to get a 100% potion when you have four colors for two reasons: one being the fact that there seems to be a lot more skeletons thrown into the mix (they decrease your time) and two is it seems a lot harder to get matches together to fill up your bar. Leveling potions also takes a long time.
