Edit after having to switch devices:. the backup function doesn't seem to work at all. "Merge 467 entries", yes, nothing changes. Over and over again. I can't get it to load a backup file. Old review: Having some issues with force close when you try to use the "share" function. Seems to estimate high compared to some other web-based calculators. Would really appreciate if it tracked calories as well, like the common available iphone app does. Overall very useful. Ads are unobtrusive.
Very good and useful app. Maybe a bit too complex on the interface side, but after you get used to it it's perfectly fine. My only gripe - and I do hope this gets fixed (maybe the developer does read the reviews here) - is that there is no way of syncing info over different/multiple devices (without backing up to SD cards). I change devices very often and it is very frustrating not having easy access to my drinking history... Fingers crossed for a syncing solution in the future (would pay 4 it)
Everything is fine. But a huge drawback is absence of cloud backup. Any cloud would do. This app is all about historical data. Something happens, I never get all the data back. So backup must be realized at top level. For example, I created backup to sd card. Then reset my phone. Erased all data. And guess what? Right, I don't have my months of data anymore.
Like many apps ATTEMPT to try these days, this one constantly asks you for access to all of your media, data, and files. What if you don't want to save this information, and don't want to give it access? Well, it still works, but there will be constant error messages popping up, in addition to the app asking you for access every single time you open it. Update the app to allow it to work freely without having access to one's files, then I'll give it a try. It's entirely possible.
great app. I used it for a year, then got a new phone. After downloading the new app I get relentless errors about backing up to a sd card. I disabled backup to no avail. it's just to frustrating to wait for all those errors to disappear before you can proceed. I opted.to but an app for 4 bucks that works great. I guess when free......
Works well, enables quick entry of your own preset drinks, a good way to keep a check Have to swipe back to return between views rather than having direct menu access to different screens, but has all the right data. 7-day and 30-day rolling averages are useful
Can't recommend this app enough. Interface is a bit complex at first but after a small amount of time it's easy to navigate, this really helps me manage and time my drinks throughout the week, helps me see how much I'm drinking and to be consistent with measurements instead of free pouring. I'd recommend fully! I also love the live time input you can put in to really spread your drink out.
I have used for many years and find it vey useful. Some have complained of inaccurate BAC but if I correctly set up with weight and absorbtion rate it compares very closely to two different breathalysers that I own. To start your week on a Monday, simply enter one dummy drink on a sunday. It will then start new from the next day. Only issue is that if you put a weekly limit in of 14 units and drink 4 units in one day, it shows 200% of target, however weekly & monthly figures correct over time.
I've used this app for a whike and love it! But with the latest update, there are some new features that are non-optional (absorption lag and non-zero drink finishing time) and can't be turned off. Please make these optional and I'll happily give 5 stars.
I can't pay for ad removal because there are no option to choose a correct Google play account. It always asks to pay under the same account doesn't matter what account is active now in Google play. I thought it's Android/Google issue but purchases in all other apps work fine and use the correct account. I tried to reinstall the app under the correct Google play account but it didn't help it still asks to pay under the wrong one. Had to purchase another app instead
Question for the developers: Looking at the graph, it appears that when I start a drink it assumes that I consumed it all right at the start - the front end has a very steep slope and the decline towards the end is much more gradual. Is there a way to adjust this so the algorithim assumes I am gradually consuming the drink over the entire start to end period rather than front-loading it? Thanks; Very nice app - it's easy to customize the beverages and the graph is very helpful in keeping things in the safe zone.
