Alder Security

I'm having issues with my connection with my camera it was working good all of a sudden it's not connecting reset the camera still same issue all my other devices are connected with no problem what's need to pay for something that's half working I'm frustrated at this point alder should have more options where you can disconnect and reconnect the camera

It's a fussy app. It works when it wants to. For instance, yesterday when we disarmed the system it sent seven notifications, rapid fire. Today it sent none. Lots more complaints I have, others have already listed.

I would rate this app at 3 stars.My neighbors wheel barrow, went missing along with some newels that I had on my deck.Obviously it was same person! I had rebanded in 150 lbs bundel. Wheel barrow track was a dead giveaway in the grass. Range of the camera needs more depth and width adjustment. Night vision camera is helpful, just needs to be colored! Police ask what color of clothes are were they wearing! Monochrome? How the hell do I know. If I knew that I wouldn't have called you for help!

Alder is a horrible security system they send 3rd party people out here to take your money set up their security system and you can't hear nothing not even the doorbell. if somebody wants to kick in wouldnt nobody know, it's just horrible I wouldn't want nobody else to purchase their services. Its trash... I could've gave my money to ADT!!!

If you are looking for a security system, Make sure they are upfront and honest with you. Your state may or may not charge you for coming to your house for a false alarm. I had 5 in Phoenix and Alder did not tell me after the 1st or 5th incident that I need to register my alarm with the state. I was charged $500.00. from the city and had to pay. Alder wouldn't even help me and pay half. #loyalpayer. Doesn't matter. I would not reccomend under any circumstances.

Gets the job done, nothing more. Works well on my galaxy devices. Notifications on arming and disarming aswell as alarming triggers always come in form of email with a delayed notification of about 2 minutes. Getting an app notification or a text would have been preferred. Biggest let down is the inability to connect with smart home devices. Hopefully future integration with google assistant is in the works. No real complaints the system does as advertiser and works reliably. Just nitpicking

Alder is predatory and will destroy you with their contract. The equipment experiences consistent faults and is unreliable. 2000 dollars to cancel. If I don't pay they will sue me and collect lawyer fees. This is what I get for signing a 5 year contract. I should have known better!

BIG MISTAKE! I regret contracting for 5 years with Alder, always glitches, no getting notifications in my cell when someone is at the front door, the cameras go offline no video and you can't even reactivate, when you try to call is a CSR in India telling you they are in Utah, who ask you the same questions over and over and not resolving the technical issues and blaming your internet for everything when every other item in your house that uses internet works perfectly fine..RUN

Can't log in on my phone. It was working fine and then one morning about a month ago I got up and went to turn the alarm off and it wouldn't let me log in. I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it and turning my phone off and back on but as soon as I touch the line to log in I get a black screen and can't see what I'm typing. My husband's works fine but he is on the road do much that it doesn't do me any good. I have emailed the company and no answer. Fix the app please.

Some things just don't make sense about this app. For instance, how can I get out of it without restarting my phone? Even if I log-out I still have to restart my Galaxy S7. Kind of stupid if you ask me. I've also had issues arming/disarming my system just sitting in my driveway. With my previous security company app I had no issues even miles away from my house. Maybe someone can give me some advice on these issues.

Its a pretty good app, but it was great but now it's not sending you emails when you're alarm is being used, like, armed or disarmed??

It's okay I guess. It's cool being able to check the cameras from literally anywhere in the world, but the app doesn't stay logged in. How am I supposed to get alerts and notifications about a break-in if the app logs me out on its own? Not only that, but the cameras I got were not at all what I wanted. The door sensors I received don't work. If only I had known, I would not have even bothered with this company.

Doesnt let me log in. Keeps asking me to change my password each time i enter the app regardless of if I clicked "Keep me logged in"

The app is okay having problems with text notifications. Called Alder. I'm only getting email notifications.

It's ok. So far it's functional. Needs to have more features. I hate how I can't even keep the video qualities at HD. It goes to Auto video quality after closing down the app even though wifi speed is sufficient. So it basically records in low quality video. Video quality on HD is unimpressive. Even the cheap wyze video quality is equal or better imo. Plus I can keep wyze cameras on HD. Definitely need better quality cameras and stay on HD mode. Notifications is quite fast which I like.

I get push notifications one day and the next, they've been disabled. I review my user and all my settings are reset. This has happened multiple times. When I try to RE-enable push notifications, I always get "save unsuccessful", have to uninstall and reinstall the app.

Downloaded the app because the person who installed my system said it helps with arming and disarming away from home. This app keeps telling me its an unsuccessful arming/disarming. Not once has it worked. I have emailed the app developer and no response has been given. I guess I will have to just use the home pad. So much for an expensive system that he talked to highly about.

I like the panel, key fob, and corrections when I call. BUT I don't like the app. It doesn't work well for activation of the system. VERY disappointed! I have excellent wireless. PLEASE FIX!

I just installed the app a few weeks ago 10/11/2021 to be exactly correct. This app takes to long to load for me to see alerts on the camera they will be gone by the time the app loads. They needs to update the footage from 6 sec to at least a minute on camera view. The camera are sensitive can be a plus but annoying when it's only bugs flying around. Fix the bugs and glitches on the app. I know somebody is monitoring the feedback. Please and thank you. Other than that I would give 5 stars.

I love the alarm system. It's sucks that I can't control it with my phone!!! 😡😡😡

Works great...when it works. Keeps saying I'm offline for some reason even though I'm connected just fine. UPDATE: Now I'm noticing that I can't edit my location in the app (greyed out). My home address is blank and it has me in Canada for the time zone. I'm starting to wish I had chosen a different company...

i have down loaded both new and used neither works. different problems with each totally useless. When I bought the system I was told it had phone access. Now it doesnt. If everone stopped paying would you make sure that all accesses worked. Thats what I payed for.

App SUCKS! I recently had Alder installed in my home and the app has never worked; tech support tries to tell me "there is currently a glitch with the app, try it again in a few hours," Well, that was over a month ago, and it still has the "glitch"? I would hate to have my alarm go off and I wouldn't be able to disarm it. How does this truly make my home secure? It doesn't! I feel Alder should give everyone with app issues a $20 credit for each month the "glitch" isn't fixed!

Sucks! It fails 85% of the time, erroneously tells me that the connection is missing or down, fails to disarm. It's USELESS! I have to use the manual control panel Every Time if I want accurate results

Nothing works! This App doesn't work at all! The wall mount only alarms to stay. Im trying to give it a chance but not at the safety of my family. Nothing was tested before they left or during installment. The wall mount says it's last update was 2017 . But David Simpson has been staying in contact so we will see if this review changes by the end of the day...

It worked fine when I first got it but then it quit working and technical support has been no help to get it working. They said the issue was being worked on this was 2 months ago. The company was good at helping me to initially get set up.

So I've "upgraded" my security system and this app crashes every day. If I could give a negative star I would have. I should have investigated this a little more but hope the technology in the app is not a direct reflection of the alarm technology.

The app just stop working on my phone as well as my husband. We reported over a month ago and it still not fixed. What's the problem with technical support that they can't fix the issue. I want to change security company but my husband prefer this one. Not good if you ask me.

Last night our cars were broken into, directly in front of the camera on our garage. My husband could not even get into his app; I could, but it did not have any videos recorded. Tech support blamed our internet speeds for there being no video (we pay for faster internet speeds btw). Tech support said they can see the video from last night but could not share it with us because of privacy. Therefore we cannot file a police report. We were not warned of this scenerio. We'll be changing companies!

Can't add my camera to the app it don't have the camera button I've deleted the app and downloaded it again same thing no camera icon
