Aldiko Book Reader Premium

I bought this several years ago, and I still think that it is the best epub reader for me (not so hot for PDF). One issue that I am frustrated with is syncing reading position between devices. Aldiko has been promising this feature for years, but no dice. In a long ago previous release, I could use a third party app to sync. However, this app no longer works, due to changes that Aldiko made. Come on, Aldiko, give us the long promised syncing capability.

I have always loved aldiko as a book reader and even went on to purchase the premium version for this reason, but I recently got a new phone with a long screen and the app is not compatible with a screen that size, so all I see at the bottom is blank space. I would greatly appreciate it if the makers would do something about it.

Update... Using system brightness works fine. Overall, very happy BUT what's next for Aldiko? I paid more for this app than any other - it is expensive! BUT, I continually have to re-install it to make the screen brightness work. Very annoying as this feature is important to me. I read a lot at night in the dark. I have emailed the developers twice about this issue but they are obviously too busy or can't be bothered to respond.

I recently switched phones, and can't remember my login information. When I click "forgot password," it takes me to the Feedbooks website, which does not help me update my password. I'm completely unable to access my account, and all of the help options don't work anymore. I've loved this app for a long time, but I absolutely do not want to have to create a new account and redownload the hundreds of books I had in my old account.

Used to love this, but it's started to not display full-page images and inserts unnecessary page breaks that aren't in my code. Only keep it because it's one of two readers that let my css override its own settings. Now I see that there are confusing new versions. This after I spent money buying the premium version. Not happy.

**Update - I am now having issues with the brightness, stuck in either too low or too bright!! Please fix! Thanks Have been a massive fan of Aldiko ever since I owned my first tablet (7+ years), I had the SG Tab S2 and recently updated to Samsung Tab S4, whenever I upload a new book, the cover no longer shows as the first page, it's a tad laggy when turning page and constantly crashing! Why???? Please fix! I have the Premium version

Is no longer switching to portrait mode (Samsung S20). Has always switched ok before on all phones however pretty useless unless I can find out why it is stuck in landscape. Was fine a week or two ago then when I went back to my book.... no more portrait mode.

Just installed this app again because it was by far my favourite ereading app - however I was instantly reminded why I was forced to find a new app years ago... Aldiko STILLwill not allow books to be stored on a memory card, and I have far too many to store on the device. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT!! This is the sole reason I stopped using the app, and seeing as they still haven't fixed it, I'll have to uninstall and keep using Moon+ Reader PLEASE RESOLVE THIS 😔

I like it very much but it has difficult making more than one of similar pages when they are different information on the other page. It delete the first one and then bring up the other one. I need both. I want to print some of them but I don't find how I can do it.

Unfortunately the app is horribly annoying! You should be able to add files with the original file name of your book or document, and not some standard in app temp_file name. It's so annoying. Will you ever fix this?!

I started using this app on a moto g5s plus phone with Oreo. When turning pages, I see a lag. Also, while deleting a collection, I get the message, Aldiko premium has stopped. How can I resolve these issues? I was hoping for a response from Aldiko developers to resolve my issues. There has been no response from them regarding my issues. Please refund my money.

My preferred method to read books. Far easier to work with than overdrive etc. Day/night mode and customisable colours are what sealed it for me (white text o on a black background is way too bright!)

Hello, dear developers.. I just wanted to let you know that I have been loving this app since 2010. Please keep making great development for aldiko! Also it would be great if you could make optimization on Android 10, it's already halfway through 2020 and I still get pop up message from my phone every time I open aldiko that the app is not made for Android 10 😅

The app is no longer getting updated and supported. I can't find help anywhere. My greatest problem is that I can no longer view images attached to epubs.

DO NOT BUY THIS! Paid good money for this and discovered that it is no longer supported or updated. They have closed their Zendesk account and are no longer updating their website. This was an excellent app, but now that there is a problem, I can get no support.

Best eBook reader I've ever had. I haven't used this app in a long time. However I do love the text to speech in it. I like being able to import as many books as I want. I am so glad I paid for this app

It's ok with reasonable permissions, but I find I never use it because fbreader, cool reader, readera, alreader and librera are all much better. Plus the new developer started a "new" version so they can force people to pay again for the app. Ugh.

Excellent, allows me to set brown text on black page which, oddly, is my preferred scheme. This is the only e-reader I found that can.

It would get 5 stars but the graphics in books never appear for some reason. I've tried many different books and any graphics are never visible.

Just like all the stupid other apps. Lets go into subscription model. Oh well it was a good app but i am jot subscribing to any software whatso ever. Give me a bug gree working application which i can use without paying for it everymonth and its a good app.

I updated to this version because of the voice reading. For some reason, the app read English text in French or French accent. Any idea how to fix this?

it's a great app I just would like that it save my 📚 on the ☁ cause i reset my phone with a certain frequency. a dictionary would also be nice to have.

That's well as others will be found such as amazon, play books, ... but I don't like some orders, I want to see books or PDF in library and I can see one by one in larger scale and detail, for example I have a book from Upton Sinkler, that translate to Persian by 4 persons, that's book name is one title but I must guess it, who translated it. I want see a large size and details, and small size of book together.

Great interface lots of options but not hard to use and lots of gesture controls have used for many years

I've used this app for years now, and loved it, but it's unusable now with the brightness issues. I gave it a while to see if the problem would be fixed, but it hasn't been, so I finally had to uninstall.
