Alight Motion — Video and Animation Editor

Works really well. Easy to pick up from a beginner's point of view. I've been animating by hand for almost four years and this was my first time trying vector animation, which turned out to be surprisingly easy with this app. The tutorials on YouTube were also a massive help. Don't forget to tell the guy who makes them that he's really good at explaining stuff :)

I love this app. It is not as hard as after effects but not as basic as other editing apps. However, there are still some stuff that need to be worked on. When will a slow motion option be available? Also, the fact I can't make an edits with high quality videos is really annoying. The outcome of the edit comes with a low quality bc I have no choice but to lower my videos. I wanna edit 1080p 60fps videos but it is not supported. All other editing apps I have tried support it except alight motion

I genuinely hate this app now, There is a horrible bug that messes up editing and the audio is always offtimed if I have any. This app has crashed my device several times because of the bug to the point of me having to go in and get my phone restarted. I will no longer be using this as an editing program and will find something else to use. I hope you may fix this problem.

Can you please make a pc version for this app? I think it will really be helpful for editing. (EDITED) honestly sick and tired of how buggy this app is. The video I'm trying to make never starts but I can hear the audio but no movement whatsoever. I have to keep restarting it multiple times just so it can work. But when I swipe back to the beginning of the video to see my progress it freezes again and the audio glitches as well. Update after update you guys never seem to pay attention to this.

This app is very good for edits, if you understand it. It's so complicated most people won't even use it, plus the fact that it crashes alot. It's really hard to use, but I think maybe I can actually understand it. My favorite part of Alight is the effects and how fun it is to play with it, but again, it isn't simple, for example, there isn't a shake effect, so you have to go create one yourself by combining tons of other effects. That's only my experience

Update: not laggy whrn you add a clip anymore. Nice Alight Motion devs I do have some recommendations I'm not sure if a mobile device can do this but if it can please try it. The slow mo thing. Only works on shapes and is kinda useless cause we can just change the time the shape appears. Edit: The audio is aIso delayed, It's fine when you just press start but, when I add a camera object it just goes bad. I'm not sure if its actually because of the camera but the audio is delayed.

I just downloaded this app back after deleting it for a few months. But now as soon as the app starts up, it crashes. It won't even let you create a project, it crashes. Also, without a subscription you can't do much editing on this app. I haven't paid for a subscription in about 2 years. Just a year ago all the features could be used freely, but now you have to pay for the good transitions/effects, practically anything on the app. This update is trash and I'm just gonna uninstall it.

This is one of the worst apps I have ever used. The quality is horrible, and I cant use slow mo for some odd reason. Can't forget to mention how laggy and buggy it is. It will freeze at some of the most simplest videos. If you split it and add 2 key frames it will freeze. I might just be using it wrong but this is horrible. It's also really confusing, I can't even begin to understand what's happening.

I use to love this app, and don't get me wrong, I still do. I'm using an android and everytime I try adding a video to edit into Alight Motion it takes me back to my home screen. Basically what Im trying to say is that I can't edit videos in the app. And its seriously annoying. Sometimes when I try exporting it does the same thing. I already tried deleting and installing back but that didn't work. Please fix this as I really love the app and want to continue using it.

I started using this app for editing, but it is really hard to understand. I'm sure the more I use it the easier it is to use, but It also crashes frequently and sometimes I'll try to start from the beginning, but it will resume from later in the video. Also it seems to take very long to make edits, not only with the complications of the app, but it is also very laggy and buggy. So overall I would recommend trying although it isn't for everyone, like it isn't for me. But please fix the bugs!

Extremely hard to use. I've watched all the basics, but still undeniably confusing. I would make some better tutorials giving more info, and bring back the old app; the one that doesn't bribe you to buy more than half of the GOD DANG FEATURES. The text is very blurry, and again, it's very hard to understand. 1 star, I'm very disappointed in this app.

It keeps on crashing. And it kind of upsets me since i work hard on a certain edit, only for it to not export once I'm finished. Yes, it's probably my device's fault, but still- there should be an update where there's a way to reduce crashing while editing, and crashing in the middle of exporting. Overall it's a very good editing app Edit: bro all im doing is adding 3 clips that are 4-5 seconds long and its already crashing? I only used 38% of my space..so its not my device's fault.

Terrible, even before I updated it is now unusable. It was working fine before but a few months later, I can't load my pictures or videos anymore no matter how much I tap the + sign, it also takes longer to load all my media, it gives me an error sign whenever I open it offline. Only the shapes can load, and texts. But the pictures, videos, and music, they can't load. What happened? How worse can this app could get? I'm uninstalling for now till this huge problem gets fixed.

This is the one and only App if someone wants a Mobile app version of After effects. After using it for a day, I purchased it's premium membership. But now it keeps crashing every time. This is the problem I am facing now. So it's my request to the alight motion team to please fix the Application as it's not letting me work on my project conveniently. Thanks!

The app crashes like a lot. Just saying "a lot" isn't even enough to describe how buggy the app is. Every time I try to save a project, the app either crashes or says it failed to encode. And this has been happening a lot lately. I think I'ma go back to editing on CapCut. 1 star sorry ❌

This is so good for yt videos editing and on graphics this is amazing but gets out of control even on my first try. That's annoying but i tried alot. Didn't worked, Second is that i can't control Graphics. Dots are moving somewhere else. Maybe because idk how to use it. I just wanted to make templates.Not for graphics or Yt video. THIS is useful for other's not me not ur fault :) Nice work

the app is amazing. I have been using for probably over 2 years. But when I redownloaded the app again, when I add some effects (specifically the flicker effect), and i export the video, it has some blur or a static thing in the video. Idk why but it wasn't like that before. Please fix it :D

It won't even go past the "Evaluating Video Codec" stage. As soon as it gets to about 90% the app crashes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times but it never works. and to think I was so excited to try out this app.

Love this app works well with editing great just like video star but for andriods! , my only problems with this app is that when I export it just crashes I've tryed many things to "help" with the crashing but it doesn't work for me I've uninstalled it many times but it still doesn't work . Alight motion please fix this issue

Alight motion is very good and useful. But when I'm in the middle of editing the video and try to unpause the video it just starts to lag and crashes the video and it makes me annoyed. When it lags I have to restart the app every time. Please fix the bug.

Everything's great, but a great add in would be to create a search bar for easier ways to find projects you remember partial of the name of without having to scroll down the many projects people may potentially have. It makes it easier to locate video names and encourages more uses of the change name option.

The app is great like really. But for me, there is one main problem i hope you guys would fix, lagging. Also i recommend adding a separate sound from video or something to make the job easier, especially for begginers since it probably wont be on beat when we do stuff like editing on it.

The app is laggy and very hard to use since everytime I'm down placing or adjusting the keyframe it would lagg so much that it gets me out of the app. This is very troublesome for me since I'm editing a tiktok video for me to post. Hopefully HOPEFULLY you can fix this bug. ALSO it is not my devices fault since I'm only using 37% of my storage.

this app is great it's like the handheld after effects ! I really got into good transitions and the effects are endless. The only issue I have is when I upload preset bases/ project packages from YouTube. The alight link always leads to a web page that has a button indicating the import package. But it doesn't work. I tried a thousand times and all I request is that they bring back the old import package feature. I paid alot of money for this so please fix it.

Alight motion is a great app for editing and I really enjoyed it until it started crashing so often. Any time I want to edit anything the app closes and it wont let me click on any edits without the app closing. I hope you can fix this and I can give you a better rating.
