At first I enjoyed the simplicity of this app. And the robust database of items. Until I found a big discrepancy. The app shows Spinach as low acid forming, which is wrong. Spinach is well known as high alkaline forming. Now I wonder how many more errors are there. I tried to find a way to contact the creators of this app but couldn't find anything. So I decided to put it in my review.

Excellent app. Especially the realtime search. Is it possible to add a facet that enables search by labels(high alkaline forming, medium alkaline forming) etc

Such a handy app! Some commonly named foods don't rate a mention, such as black rice or pearl barley, but you can easily search for the root source and get a feel for the answer you're seeking.

Seems like a really good app but there needs to be some method to feed back errors that are found by users e.g. spinach wrongly listed as 'low acid forming'

I wish I could get rid of the ads. So annoying

Mist popular items are in the data bank for the alkaline results. A lot of foods are not registered on this site. Great site for a Neophyte

I used this app at the supermarket today. Very handy. I just have one small complaint. I understand the necessity of ads, but when doing a database search the ad covers the last result. I have to turn the phone sideways to be able to read part of the result. Should put the ad outside of the results list.

It's a database, but it can be a bit contradictory, for instance, romaine lettuce is listed as moderate acid-forming and moderate alkaline-forming. It would also be nice if there was a way to have an alphabetical list by food type or something.

Some basic knowledge regarding ph & some food items (e.g. butter milk) should be added in this app.

Very good that this app has a very large food database. Would be even better if it provides some sorts of grouping e.g. fruits, nuts. And also allow listing of each category of foods, e.g. med-alkaline, slightly acidic, etc. Excellent if some pictures could be added.

While I enjoy the great variety of foods, listed for reference, I noticed that coffee, for example, looks to be more acidic than honey. Coffee is considered to have a ph of about 5, while honey has an average of 4 ( 3.9 to 6.1). In the app, coffee is High to Mid acidic, while honey is Low. Apart from that- quite a straightforward app. Easy search.

Ads get in the way of viewing results, better off looking at a meme list, as many food items are still missing

DEB. H. Jul 25, 2015

Not enough foods needs to be updated

tal. b. Dec 4, 2015

It would be awesome if we can save the foods through out the day and see a daily average of ph

Can you add options to sort all by A-Z, level of alkaline or acid, and by food groups? Love the app

A. G. u. Jun 9, 2018

It said chickpeas are acid forming and soybeans are alkaline forming when it is actually in fact the other way around so don't trust this app
