All News Widget

I had the same issue others, where I'd paid to remove ads but when I went to see the article was directed to an ad, annoying but I could live with it. However, this app has now stopped working. The widget just says it is loading and is blank. The app just crashes.

Update: Unfortunately that positive first impression didn't last long. Refreshing doesn't work anymore (very unreliable, it's like winning the lottery) and the "action on click" function is broken, too (it shows the wrong description), sadly it's turned into a unresponsive mess. Old: First impression is excellent. Decent customization options, no clutter, and a large variety of (multi language) news sources to pull from - It's just what I need! I'm considering buying the pro version. Well done.

On the latest version experiencing the issue with the widget on Android 12 not showing any content until the widget is manually resized. Very bizarre.

There is no option to get entire text of the feeds. There is no purpose in just getting a link directing to the web for reading the content.

The widget doesn't open the newsarticle you click on. When you click on a news headline, you'll get the title and description, but not the title and description for the headline you wanted to read. Surprisingly, you can update the newsfeed, and you'll get new headlines, but then abovementioned situation happens. Too bad, cause I really likethe purpose of the app.

Was great, Has become worthless! I re-installed 2.1.8 which works very well! Was hard to find that version but worth the effort! Works fine on android 12

Widget does not refresh, and there's no settings to make adjustments. I'm uninstalling, will revisit review at a later time.

Does not manually update. Only way it does is when you go in and out of settings and the update time will change thereafter. Am on s10 Pie. EDIT: Seems to work ONLY when I go into settings and toggle "update feed on change" switch, to OFF and then back ON - bug needs to be resolved please. Additional suggestion. It will be great if dev can give option to increase/decrease space between each article and also an option to change colour of space bar/line.

12/29 update broke it on Pixel 6. Opening the app immediately closes it. One step forward, two steps back. Sigh.... Another disappointed paid user.

I was looking for a news app that's transparent. This app is awesome. You can load all kinds of news sources, load the widget in any size you wish, plus it's scrollable, and the transparency can be lightened or darkened to your liking. I will be buying the ad free version soon. Thanks for a great app.

I'm with everyone else. The app used to work but the 2.1.9 update broke it. The app will load at start up and but the widget will eventually quit working. The notifications still come through. Downgraded to 2.1.7 which works flawlessly

So far it's close to perfect. All the up to date news I had to use multiple sources for in the past is now in one place, and the widget lets me see the highlights before I open the app. Put in an option for local feeds and this will be flawless.

Aug2019 update: Got a notification that the App's been fixed. Tried it. Well, not completely fixed. Some feeds still not updating. Ex Toronto Star. I appreciate the developer's response and efforts however. Changed 1 ⭐ to 3 ⭐. ** previous review: The app and widget has stopped working. News feeds are not refreshed since early May.

Paid update does not work, ads still appear despite having paid. No help from Google and no response from developer. 100% ripoff. EDIT: Thank you for the response. If issue is fixed promptly I am happy to re-rate. NEW EDIT: I believe it is worse to "promise" an update and have that turn out to be a lie. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. NEW NEW EDIT: app updated but still see ads. This will apparently never be fixed. App is decent and useful. Don't pay. They haven't figured that out yet

The widget seems to have stopped updating its content. tried reinstalling 3 times but the widget just stuck in updating/loading. The only channel gets content is Google News. The widget is useless at this moment. I also find the recent 5 stars ratings suspicious as so many reviews reporting the same widget stuck in updating and not loading news.

This app was working great, now all of a sudden it hasn't updated since the first of this month. I've tried hitting the manual refresh button, changing the refresh timer settings and even deselecting and reselecting which news feeds I want. Would be 5/5 if it would work :/

Good layout and customization; however, I do wish the widget had a single tab with multiple outlets listed to scroll through at once. Tabbing from feed to feed isn't bad but having top stories on one tab would be ideal.

Best app for news updates. The best thing is that this app provides us a very smart way to go through all our desire news (we selected in feed) in just moment of blink as it shows hedlines and by clicking it its shows description of news which last for our next internet connection. And the wedget is so handy and provides us many flexibliltys of ones need!

Works decent for the most part, and perhaps it's always done this, but recently been noticing the date reported for when article was posted reads like it was published in the 80s. For instance, on Fox, 'Scaramucci fire back at Trump on Twitter amid feud: "You are losing your fastball" 11/26/83 15:49'. And every news feed source seems to be listing that way, BBC, Breitbart, NYT -- with only difference being some others list the year as 1984. o_O

Love it! Finally someone who understands that users want freedom. You allow me to use any RSS feed i want and even have a wonderful widget that I can use to simply have a quick news feed of whatever I choose. It can use a few minor tweaks to make everything run smoother.

Defaults are very USA political focused, and some aren't updating properly. As a Canadian though, I'm glad the option is there to add feeds, as long as you already know what news source you're looking for.

Good idea, but doesn't work on Galaxy s10. Feeds are continuously updating with no result. Only Google news page works. Looking forward to change my review to 5 stars, when it starts work.

Great concept, especially the widget. But...the widget does not work. It initially sets up and loads but after a few hours the widget does not load.

Great app but please remove the "last updated" footer section, its unnecessary. Also, please make the title news header capable of being 100% transparent too. Awesome app, would just like more customization ability

Could be nice AP, I like choosing RSS.... But to switch between them I have to first wake up the AP, reload not sufficient, must go Into settings first, very annoying.

Nothing happens when I click on most of the links. Hitting refresh only brings up all the stories that were there last night when I installed the app.

when it works, it's a quality app. great widget. it's a 4-5 star app when it works. but right now it has a bug that makes it unusable.

This widget used to be great, but now they are charging $0.99/mo. I guess I will be deleting permanently...
