It's a solid mobile banking app. The ai for check deposits always, always, always makes you review the images even if they are perfectly clear, all edges are visible, are payable to the account holder, meet the necessary date range, etc. Not much of an ai if I'm completely honest, but it's a relatively minor annoyance.
After the technology "upgrade" (account information wasn't availible for 3 days...) the app is slow, doesn't load transactions over half of the time, and constantly has issues. My guess is Allegacy was cheap in hiring or contracting IT and now we are left with a half finished and half tested app. Support has been useless, and just says to reinstall the app to fix issues (spoiler alert: the app still has issues). Allegacy refuses to make technology a priority and will lose business because of it.
Super friendly UI, super easy to use, haven't had any glitches or hiccups yet, & I've been using it for over 6 months. It has *tons* of useful features and functions. I definitely recommend this app to *all* Allegacy members! Make sure the privacy/security settings suit your needs, but security/privacy issues rely more on how often you share your phone, leave it unlocked and unattended, accidentally forget it in random places, use public/free wifi without a VPN, etc I personally ❤ this app!
The removal of fingerprint login is a huge hassle. Nobody else has access to my phone or my fingerprints and even when I toggle the setting back on it doesn't stay. I've used this app for a good while and this is the worst update yet. There's still some great features but it's a nuisance to quickly check things anymore.
Editing ** Please update the app to allow for different folders within account. Like Christmas saving, rent payment. Editing after "upgrade"... App is now very slow. I often have to open it 2 or 3 times to get it to load. With today's tech why can't I click on an item to see an expand view of what the charge is? I would like to be able to click on a debit item to report a fraudulent charge or questionable charge. ______ It would be a 5 star app but I HATE seeing adds every time I try to log out.
Locked out since signed up months ago for no reason. In a constant loop with a robot when trying to seek assistance. When you do get through they are useless. Have asked 5 times to reset the password so I can use online banking they never do. Going to the bank is even worse. Worst bank ever for costumer support. I really don't understand why they disabled me to be able to log in. I can not pay some of my bills since all my information takes 4 woman trying to figure out a simple task.
The request for specific text on back of check should be advised BEFORE trying to snap picture. The text confirmation is awkward. Instructions aren't clear. Need dialogue box specifying exactly what to do with pin #. Takes to long for deposit to be approved. Scrolling, scrolling much too long. Occured 2x. Otherwise a valuable AP since the Allegacy centers all closed. If I wanted to deposit cash, I'd be terribly inconvenienced. It would have made sense to advise East Hanover NJ had closed.
Love this app. Only complaints are with bill pay, payments "disappear" just before the funds are withdrawn from my account; and with finger print log in, the welcome screen looks similar to the log in screen--sometimes I'm just staring at the welcome screen waiting for it to recognize my fingerprint until I realize it's not even the log in screen.
I had chosen AFCU because credit unions as a whole are usually better than banks . Allegacy definitely used to be but the past few years quality has declined drastically . I'm thinking of looking into other options if somethings don't change or at least go back to the standards that they used to adhere. Web/online banking is constantly going down . Frustrating to say the least I used to love this place.
It does exactly what it is supposed to do without any flaws. Easy to use interface but the design and graphics seem old or cheap looking. I would like to see more features in the app itself. Like maybe an ATM locator. Overall it is a very good app.
My password works just fine on my PC but for the last 2 weeks the app keeps telling me my password is wrong. I just uninstalled the app. Turned off, restarted my phone. Installed the app again and now my account is locked. This is ridiculous
App works really well. Recent update I thought removed the biometrics login, but then realized it just turned it off. Turned it back on and all is well! This app makes it so much easier to bank especially since I live in another state. Thanks AFCU!
Just what a banking app should be. easy, efficient, and simple with none of the headaches of other financial apps. even allows easier to remember passwords. Use the widget to check balances instantly.
Love the app. However, wish there was a way to apply for a credit card option on there. You have to go to the main website, then you can't do it logged in. Only loans. Have no idea where to find my member number at
This app is super great. It contains all my accounts, allows me to click on each account and see what I've spent, plus make transfers between any account. I love simplicity, and if you do as well, then Allegacy Banking and this app is for you!
Very easy to use. Using the word "transfer" was a little confusing when your taping on the bar above that says "Pay" and you are making a payment.
Terrible app always crashes and never lets you login and forces you to reset you password. Seems every week y'all app goes down and we get no warning. Update the app it's time there is no reason this app no it to be user friendly. Get it together
Awesome, The ease of navigation, the simplicity of the site and the customer service chat when needed...great bank to be with and all of my experiences have been great. I can't say that about others I have banked with so being treated well and no worries about your accounts is a win-win.
Great bank and banking app. It's really nice to be able to login anf just deposit a check via the app rather then have to drive all the way to a branch. Been a member since 2001 and have always came back to this bank!
Overall easy to use and navigate. The check image feature gets a little squirrelly sometimes but usually fixes itself if you take another image.
Its laughable that a bank would actually make an app that works as poorly as this one does. Mobile deposit never works and the app only works half the time before freezing and closing out. Would not reccomend the app or Allegacy to others.
Difficult to get it to accept images even though they are clear. App rejects, you can resubmit without change and it accepts. Convenient, but frustrating.
I keep experiencing technical issues with live chat, it opens up then closes do to lost of communication. I have spoken to several on the phone bank representatives and have been told there is no technical problem on their end.
Mostly easy to use and a good app to review account, but mobile deposit need work, take small picture of check and ask you to review, you can barely see it, so need to add ability to zoom in to review picture of check. Otherwise not bad app.
I love this app. It is so helpful and easy to use. It let's you know when the bank will be closing if there is a large amount withdrawaled. Over all in general this app is very grest and I recommend it and this bank. I like all the people that assist me.
Its good but the check deposit needs to improve. Takes longer because Even though the chk picture looks good, it always takes you back to look at picture again, even though you saw the first time that it looks fine.
Like your institution but the remote deposit feature is the most frustrating, time consuming remote deposit I've ever experienced.
Mobile Check Deposit Rating of App. Compared to First Horizon Bank's (FHB) mobile deposit feature, this feature on the Allegacy app is not very good. It behaves inconsistently, gives confusing guidance when in the automatic mode.."decease angle"..and the centering the image of the check never seems to trigger the taking of the picture even when the check image is centered. The FHB feature of automatically finding the borders of the check and THEN capturing the image is vastly superior.
