Really bad app, never works, set up payments that never go through always have to call my payment in for a fee. App always says "they are working on it.' and you can't even Access it. I think it's a scam so they can make $3.50 service charge to card over the phone . Really really bad, needs to be improved... Luckily I am most likely going to refinance and be done with ally. Do not recommend at all

This is the worst app I've ever used to pay bills. This is the only online service I've ever known to "close" after 11pm and on the weekends - it's online, it should be open 24/7, isn't that kind of the point of having an app you can make payments through? If it's not closed, it's down for maintenance. Don't bother if you want to pay with a credit or debit card - they make it as hard as possible to do so and charge an extra $5 for "processing". HORRIBLE!

I see a lot of complaints from people about this app being down for maintenance and I can only assume these people are trying to log in late at night when they do their nightly updates from 12am-3am. I have never had an issue getting on this app in 2 years other than past midnight. I've never been charged a fee for making a payment either. Free of charge if you link your bank account so maybe some people should try that instead? If you want the convenience of am immediate payment you pay the fee

This company is a joke, they'll take your money on autopay every month ,even take your money after they've already been paid in full , and chose not to remove autopay even after the final payment was completed. Don't expect your money back quickly. I have to wait 3-5 days for them to even send A PAPER CHECK , then take time out of my day to deposit it and wait for it to clear. This was their mistake and now I have to pay the price of being out 400. They claim they can't refund drafts digitally.

Ally is a terrible company. Do not use them for anything financial. Refinanced my car, they still took full payment 5 days later, has taken 6 calls for them to issue a refund via mail. Have paid every payment digitally for 3 years, not sure why you have to use snail mail. Didn't verify my address first time, sent money to the wrong house.

I've been forced to pay my loan with a service that charges a fee because Ally only takes bank accounts with a max of 16 digits. My account has more than 16 digits thus making direct transfers impossible. I spoke with support who said they can make it work and it would be fixed in a few days. That was 6 months ago and it wasn't fixed. I suspect they hire low quality customer service reps in third world countries to save money. It's really a shame because I sold my investments in ALLY duetothis.

If you can't access the website downloading this app won't fix it either. Really regret switching to electronic statements now that I can't access my account through their website or app. Isuzu isn't great either but at least I can access statements and get payoff information.

Does not change auto pay date if you make a one time payment, this lead to me double paying and being broke for my 21st birthday. Takes 2 weeks or more for a refund by which point I'd have to pay again anyway. I cannot wait to refinance with a different lender.

The app is impossible to use. For some reason you have to have a specific bank account to actually make the payment thru ally. If you don't you're forced to use a 3rd party sight which stats some concerning facts about how your banking information can be shared. Then they charge you to pay thru that 3rd party, the 3rd party also has a few. My bank accounts have been froze for weeks at a time because of that 3rd party sight . If I could give 0 stars I would

Trying to set up an account on the app and to enter the DOB you need to manually scroll back through each month from the present. Clearly no one actually beta tested this.

With my wells fargo i can pay every week and it will be deducted in like 2 days, with ally it just says pending till my actual payment date, its annoying bcuz it doesnt deduct through the weeks i pay and it puts me in a bind i wanna pay more than i want but i cant bcuz it just still will be deducted on my payments date, very annoying, i will not finance with ally again after paying off my car

I like that Ally let you brake your payment up if your short on cash. I don't like that they don't show what you owe & they don't show how you can pay your car off faster..

This company is extremely frustrating. I frequently get the message "Ally Auto is temporarily unavailable." I've tried to log in twice now over the past week to make a payment and can't get logged in, because they are down for "maintenance". I will very likely be refinancing, just to get a more reliable experience with another company. Also, no I'm not interested in mailing my payment or calling in; I chose a company with online services for a reason.
