complete waste of money. The Ally server is frequently unavailable. If you want to change your kid's access while they're doing homework the server has to be available. i have rebooted the modem and router and reinstalled the app. it just doesn't work
This app is useless! Always says router is disconnected when it is connected! Because it says it is disconnected I cannot go into the app and change settings. I need to change my password! This app is so annoying and frustrating!
Constantly receiving, "cannot connect to our server" message. Cannot set limitations for teenagers, because the app just doesn't do what it says it does. It looks like we're stuck with an expensive countertop ornament for now.
Have to reset entire Ally system over and over after the "Unable to connect" Worst Wifi system out and it was expensive. Thanks Amped Wireless for useless tech. Going google mesh now. ZERO STARS also, their entire company site was down the other day...probably running their own gear.
Hooked up the router and installed the app. Next morning unable to connect to server - was unable to connect to server all day. Reset router and synced with new email. Next morning unable to connect to server error in app again. Router is working fine but that is table stakes. Picked this for remote management so am really disappointed
Worked well at first. The app always says server is down. Have reinstalled it many times. When I can get on the app, all of the limits I have set do not seem to work. Currently looking for something else.
Router is great. But app keeps crashing. Hard to setup and use. But again router works well. Too bad. Ruin the whole experience.
When app works its great but I mostly get a message that says "unexpected error" and I can't see who is online. Router is fine, software is hit and miss.
For several months the app cannot connect to their servers. Don't waste your time or money. The system isn't cheap and causes more problems then it fixes. Customer service doesn't exist. You get an email saying they are "working on it" and an apology and nothing changes. Ongoing for several months. Get the Orbi instead.
Terrible. Never connects to the server. No firmware update since 2017. Just noticed none of the filters have been working for months...
keeps freezing us out, this router is so frustrating. im looking fir other options. Really disappointed with this product considering it wasn't cheap.
The app always says the router is offline, even though the WiFi is functioning in the house. Very frustrating to troubleshoot.
App doesn't work, won't connect to server. The router was doing ok on the 5ghz wifi but I would not get a connection on the 2.4. Stay far away from this
Network seems to be malfunctioning and now I see the app hasn't been updated since 2017. It worked well in the beginning. PLEASE UPDATE THIS APP!
YOU PEOPLE ARE WRONG & SLOW. You should only need to configure your modem once or twice. Don't blame the app. Network safety has changed. You are originally supposed to enter bios hard wired with a PC. And you have to turn off the computer you are using WiFi. It's like you are trying to disable a bridge that you need to walk across to get to the other side. USE YOUR PC WITHOUT INTERNET WIRED TO MODEM. YOU WELCOME.,
The app doesn't work as other reviews mentioned. Returned the device, just a waste of time. I don't think I will ever buy anything from AmpedWireless.
The app is horrible it cant connect to the ally server and i did it online and not through the app. This app is useless but the signal seems to be good.
Well this one's simple it's great to have internet it's great to not have your game interrupted or your video interrupted thank you Aunt although I find it awkward that I'm using amped considering some of my personal issues lately some of you might get that
Do not buy they are not supporting app and frequent outages on the server which also leaves children without filters. Have owned for over year and hope to prevent other from making same mistake as me.

Update your app please. I can not do anything on the app for weeks now. It is useless.
App keeps on saying no internet connection and can't go pass that even internet is working perfectly on my phone. I'm so disappointed that Amped is not doing anything about fixing this app. Beside this, the extender is sitting 25ft away from the router and the extender light is orange. So disappointed in every way. Would be my last Amped equipment.
