My Almond router (purchased 7/18) is paired with a tp-link modem. Super fast. Very pleased with their product. UPDATE: I just had a frustrating reset problem with my Almond router. Like most of my problems, it occured just before tech closed for the weekend. Still, the response from the Securifi tech team was impressive! I received several emails from them assuring me that they would stay on top of this until my problem was corrected. It was.
This app isn't the most well laid out or user friendly, but was ok... until it started crashing on Android 9. It now opens then immediately shuts down. Unusable if you need to manually control any connected smart home devices as it doesn't stay open long enough.
This has been a terrible experience. I made the mistake of purchasing the alarm system with peanuts on indiegogo. I left home for months and had no access to the app and was unable to arm it disarm the system. Now I'm home dealing with the same issue with the hardware.
There needs to be a way to turn off temperature and light notifications. My phone goes mad with notifications throughout the day, meaning I either have to turn notifications off (defeats the purpose) or check my phone every two minutes.
They never finish producing a great physical device before moving on to a new model. Support is just about gone, but I do understand there is no money to be made in a one time sale. Next up is a monthly subscription for their devices.
App and devices won't sync. Also router is stuck on wrong time by a few hours so any rules won't work correctly and it will not let you chnage the time. Device is on and app says it is off so you can't turn the item off with the app
These updates only mask the fact that the routers are awful. The app is awful too, it looks bad, it is so slow. I had really high hopes buying this new on Amazon in October 2018... Awful smart home integration, buy and pray accessories or you can buy the Climax line that securifi likes to 'certify", mighty close to proprietary... After eight years they are still trying to implement email alerts. And to make me dislike the product more... If a sensor is said to work it is often castrated, buy a speaker with an siren and a chime, one or the other works. I bought 5 of these routers. I'm tired of garbage, based on what I have read, the screens will fail soon.
it's a good Wi-Fi expander but also can take a free wireless and add WPA2 can act as a router I would recommend this model if your doing that but the newer model has different after attributes you might want to look into it
Can't even start up my router because it requires you to log in to this app to finish the setup wizard. But the app says "Can't connect" even though my internet is fine.
This app is not working outdoor and neither does your help center. And now I can't get back in because I don't have my pin number that it didn't give me. I armed it by mistake and can't undo a darn thing. I hate it. It's going back.
25 Feb 2019 Android version 7.76 is definitely more stable. It now stays connected to my Almond + via local Wi-Fi .. no longer must go back and reconnect it all the time. Thanks for the update!
Out of all the routers I've ever owned in my old time, the Almond has to be the Best of the Best... Now I have the Almond 2015 it only has a 2.4ghz side. Does not have a 5ghz side.. But makes one hell of a Great Repeater... My hat's off to you Almond !!!!
Barely supported anymore and crashes all the time. They are letting this awesome piece of tech just die out.
Purchased it 4 years ago and never worked. Every once in a while it up dates but nothing happens. It was a waste of money.
The time synchronization still isn't fixed after years.
It's cool, but instructions are half-assed and it still says no internet connection even plugged in right and internet is there!
pretty easy UI but newer version of app seems to drain phone battery quicker? Please fix this in next version.
No option to reboot the router under LAN connection, only cloud? Seriously?
Loving it! New to home automation and its working! Badass!
Not user friendly at all. Extremely complicated!
impossible to login or create an account. pretty much useless
Great app overall. It's improved a lot over the years!
Great device and great app for home automation
Does not work any more need's update and bug fix
Must have almond router but works well.
Suddenly adding peanut plugs is not even an option
Wasting time with unnecessary functions
Everything I wanted in a home automation system and then some. Customer support is top tier! My only complaint is that there's no option to activate a scene when a physical smart switch is turned on. Each item must be added under rules individually.
