Power Summary:
Here you to monitor your PV system and see in real time the amount of energy produced by your solar panels. The real time load consumption of your system and where the load is drawing from is displayed in a user-friendly pie chart.
System Status:
Here you can view the load consumption, PV generation,Feed-in and Grid Charge for the day. You can also view historical data pulling up information from since the system was installed. This can be displayed in a number of easy to read graphs and charts.
System Information:
Here you can go under the hood of your Alpha system in the palm of your hand. You view the configuration of your system, the array size of your PV system, the inverter size and battery capacity.

New app is a disaster. 1st. The screen is white which eats up phone battery. Also I'm in the habit of waking in the middle of the night and the 1st thing I check is the alpha ess app to see how the system is performing. Now the whole bedroom is lit up because the screen background is white. 2nd You have to look carefully and study to see where your power is coming from. It's a disaster. The old app was far better and quicker and easier to understand. I want the old app back in black background
The old update used to show everything clearly on the main screen, then you went to each menu for more information. The new update is not user friendly. I've got to go to 2 different screens to see what % my battery is at and at what rate it's charging. Trading looks for functionality is never a good move. The old main screen was so simple and gave you a clear overview of everything.
Was a great app, but the new format is terrible. The previous format (up to April 22) was easy to read and easy to switch between pages. The new layout, not so much. Far far less comfortable. I'm not sure if the app designers need to change it so they can justify their outlandish day rates or what, but this new layout is atrocious. Please reinstate the old layout and leave it be.
Worked OK for a week and then suddenly stopped working. I've tried password resets, uninstalling, reinstalling the app, tried re-registering as well. Nothing works. This definitely fits in the "not fit for purpose" category. This product just gets worse. I have managed to gain access by powering down the battery and then rebooting it. Works for 3-6 days then needs rebooting again. Now the app won't recognise my password and there is no way of resetting it. Wish I'd bought a Tesla powerwall
App UI was clearer before the remodel. Newer visualisation of the load is confusing to read. I miss the dark mode (but the bug with the landscape view has been fixed at least. This app needs an ability to send in-app notifications e.g. when feed to grid occuring-> ping so can increase load like charge an EV etc.
On phone and tablet the text on the import/export page is TOO small. Can the text size be the same size as the SOC? Allow refresh rate to be modified, OR make it real time. Please move cost of system and payback to a secondary page, this is PRIVATE information.
I dislike the latest update. Graphics are nice but the information that you actually need is poorly presented. Also very disappointing that still you can only set time profiles that start or end on the hour so of you want 00:30-04:30 charge period, you can't. For those wanting the old app layout search the store for hive solar.
The latest update removed the black screen mode and font type selected - really hard to use. Please think about people with vision problems. I will upgrade my rating when you fix the issues introduced with a new look.
The new app is really hard to read, particularly you can't glance and see whether you have more or less power than your consumption because all the text is in grey/black, but previously there was red, green etc.
New app is a huge step backwards. Doesnt refresh properly, have to look in multiple screens to find all the info I use. How could you get the new version so wrong? :( Please put the old version back.
I hate the new UI. Now I need to look at two separate screens to find out what I want and the power flow diagram is less clear. Can we choose to use the old app? I wish it hadn't updated.
The app is OK but I'd rather an app that had something more visually appealing than black.. also, can you please create widgets so we can dock important info on our home screen. Thank you
Latest update is really not great. Should have an option to customise home screen. Don't want to see ie investment stats etc , would like to ability to custom
The new layout is messy and hard to read. Really don't need the pretty picture of the house etc.
Please revert back to old graphics. It was basic and easy to understand. Like someone else said, download the hive app to revert back to an easy to see and use app.
New layout is inferior in every way. It's now much harder to see the information you need which is now spread across multiple screens.
This App was good until a few days ago all the info was in one spot, clear and easy to see now its been scatered all over the place its realy anoying. My data is also wrong now with solar usage beeing displayed as load shifting
Did you test this app update before you released it? There are many label errors etc. The old app was good because it was simple, this update is complicated and fussy with no advantages over the old app.
Do not update. The old one was graphically cleaner. Search could be performed on sn, or remarks ..the new one is a complete mess.
You took out vitel data from the app what is my power consumption from grid, battery, solar.Bring back the ould app or have the same data as the ould app.New must be an improvement or don't fix that isn't broken.
The old app was a bit slow at times but this updated version is useless, wish I didn't update it. 1 star is overly generous.

The original app was much more viewable with vibrant colours.
Ok app. Visually not very attractive, though the high contrast makes it easy to read in sunlight too I guess. Doesn't use the orientation sensor, so in the power graph you first have to select the type of power to be displayed, then tap fullscreen, because in fullscreen there's no power type selector. Does what it should but could look and handle better.
Who were the idiots who replaced the terrific old version with the new totally awful update version. Pathetic update and totally not needed.

The app definitely doesn't explain anything to you.. But with a bit of research online (the online Portal is easier to learn initially) I was able to figure it all out. The app shows everything I could want to know and it keeps things simple.
Can't see the load and grid values in the graphic with the house. The bottom is cut off Stupid
Someone recently decided that users shouldn't see battery level together with current power draw from the grid, PV generation, load. No dark mode. The new layout is much worse than the simple original one. Its development has been a waste of resources. I wish I could downgrade. Another strange flaw of the system as a whole - the time is always daylight saving (AU), even when daylight saving is OFF. If system time were at list displayed in the app one could figure it out, but it isn't.
