App requires far too many permissions for access to your smartphone. All I want it to do is be a remote control for the head unit not to see my media files or address book. Damn thing won't connect anyway to my CDE-178BT. Can't give it no stars, so read one star as a no star rating. Useless and pointless app!
I used to think Alpine was the best in car audio. With my current set up? I changed my mind. This app proves they are clueless to how people use their stereos for or how to build an app that works.
THIS APP IS NO LONGER VALID. Alpine do not continue to support older products, and worse, remove their functionality. ‐-------‐---------- Alpine should be ashamed
This should be removed from the play store but I guess that one junior Android developer went back to school after summer.
The application out of date and should be updated or removed as does not connect with any of the Alpine products specifically ilx-w650.
Just not user friendly or usable full stop. If I had my way I'd rip the Alpine unit out of my vehicle.
Total junk. Outdated and does nothing but add a few crappy apps that you will never use.
An error message says the app is too old to function properly.

THIS APP HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED BY ALPINE. I spoke directly to an Alpine representative today in person.
Garbage app and software

I am updating my review to confirm how bad this app is. The app has to be manually connected everyone you start your vehicle. Then if you connect to Android auto it disconnects and will not reconnect unless you clear the app cache. For what alpine charges and wants to be (premier vehicle audio) they sure don't support their products like a premier company.
An app has to actually work to be of value. It worked fine, but not great until I upgraded to Android Pie. Now it is unable to connect to the service. It renders my expensive Alpine head unit almost useless. Come on Alpine, you're a high end audio company. This shouldn't be so hard to support.
Completely broken in Android 9.0 Pie. Must fix!
Doesn't even open. Was so excited to set this up in my car, such a disappointment! Call me when it's working.....
Useless in the EU
Love it
Opens on the Alpine Connect Apps page with a Disconnected error in the corner. Only shows Yelp (which we don't have here) and Glympse. Unable to do anything at all with this app. Complete waste of time and effort.
Worked fine but one of the previous updates broke Yelp connectivity. Unit displays "can't connect to Yelp at this time" every time.
Only useful app that's integrated is Spotify but that doesn't show up as available in the app.
I bought X901-D and I would never buy any Alpine device anymore. Its price comparing to available features is horrible high. The Alpine Connect works very bad too. I absolutely agree with all bad reviews here. Moreover, the built-in navigation IGO doesn't work as declared by its developer company.
