Was great when it worked, as I make changes to my system alot with new hardware. For some reason now it can never connect to my saved tunes because it's all stored online and not locally. I disconnect power on my car pretty often for mods and upgrades which end up resetting all my settings. Now each time I have to spend 10+ minutes retuning everything.
The app would be great if it actually did what it is supposed to. The settings are never fully saved/restored which defeats the purpose of having such app in the first place. It's no help for people who setup their system once snd forget it. For those who need to reload often like myself, as I only use my convertible few times a year and disconnect the battery, the save feature was the big draw. As it doesn't save/restore most settings it is pointless.
App does not connect to brand new 178bt. The stereo is great, sounds awesome and plays via bluetooth down my phone just fine. But no matter what combination, or ordering of connecting via bluetooth and following of instructions, will this app connect to the stereo. It's a shame, it'd be much nicer to tune the sound from my phone than from the fiddly stereo interface, sadly though, I've already done it now on the interface as I got fed up of trying to connect the app to the stereo.
Works great ... When you can get it to connect 😔. I have found it works best through the USB connection and sometimes it connects fine other times no luck for weeks. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it is very iffy whether it will work or not. The Bluetooth, phone, etc... Works perfectly every time so I know it's only this app
A very useful app if you have an older car and you are upgrading one of the supported Alpine Headunits. Whether you have stock speaker or upgraded ones easy to find the ideal setup for your car or obtain one of the many shared by others around the globe with same car/audio setup. If yours is a single DIN, then the interface from a phone makes it much more easier. Underated app and functionality.
I had a new Alpine CDE HD149BT installed 2 months ago. I'm quite happy with everything the unit offers, power, BT, HD and the ability to adjust everything using your smart phone. Today I downloaded the Alpine TuneIt app and spent 20 mins trying to pair and connect my Galaxy Note 5 to the receiver with NO luck. My phone recognizes and shows the Alpine receiver once BT is turned on but the Alpine receiver will not recognize my phone or establish a BT connection. I've looked the issue up on Google, Youtube and called friends about this to no avail. Now I see the reviews are very hit and miss from 1-star to 5-stars. That doesn't bother me cuz I haven't even been able to get it connected. Once I establish connection I will offer a review. PLEASE!!!.....If anyone has ANY helpful information as to what the issue I'm having is please write me back. This includes Alpine and the creator of the TuneIt app. Thank you very much.
Could be better and new software for the head unit would be good maybe include more Android functions eg receive/send messages, ability to mirror phone screen would be usefull for Waze and Google maps and watching you tube etc like most people I don't own any DVDs or CDs anymore so not really worth having a big screen headunit just for settings that any small cheaper unit can do with push buttons and Bluetooth seems to regularly loose saved devices temporarily turning it into an expensive clock
This is not a solid app. I have had this paired with 164bt using a Note 8. Too frequently cant connect, NEVER saves your tune, when it does connect the tune page red car indicator never turns green allowing for update of a tune. Spend alot of time thrown in this endless loop entering info to be kicked out trying over & over & over again. Nobody has time for all that especially when its time to ride! Had this app for yrs. Like others said "bug fixes" got Alpinetuneit hustling BACKWARDS!
I have the LgV40 phone with the Alpine Ilx-207. Works great but does not remember the settings on the app at all. Everything on the app the eq, crossover etc goes back ro default settings. Definitely a nice app. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not. Has tons of adjustments equal to your head unit
TuneIt is a great app for alpine users that just want to better tune their stereos to the rest of the system. It unlocks alot of features that otherwise would require active crossovers or inline filters to achieve the same affect. If you are using a simple alpine stereo setup with factory speakers or slightly upgraded speakers this is a great tool. I have a small pickup truck as my daily driver and being able to use TuneIt saves space on crossovers and extra wiring. It does what it was made to.
Hoping to use the app, but it won't even allow me to create my required profile... I input all information and it still will not allow my account to be created because the sign-up button is not selectable. Currently a trash app because of this, if it gets fixed and I am able to use the supposed features then maybe I will update the review. This was attempted to be used on a Samsung Galaxy 8 Active.
I downloaded the app and only has a few cars in it and nothing I have. I have paired my phone and opened the app and nothing happened. I have since uninstalled the app. I wouldn't bother wasting your time trying the app. Just deal with having to work your radio the old fashioned way. Make all your adjustments on the Radio
This app does not work for the CDE-175BT. I have tried to figure it out but the app does not show to connect. I can't change settings and or do anything but scroll through other people's saves settings which still do not work. Please create a working app that works for all alpine car stereo.
Spent an hour trying to connect. My phone is paired as it's playing music. The app still has the little car and cross through it. Can't see anywhere in the app how to turn it on. Waste of time and disappointing considering I bought an Alpine
Keeps crashing on my s7edge even when not in use, although I suspect it's always in use.. Not to mention my radio resets itself several times a month losing all settings. Not a problem with the app itself I think.. just a trash unit I guess.
connect reconnect connect reconnect. needs to be updated. the theory is great. the implementation is lacking. followed instructions for pairing exactly as outlined. continues to connect and the disconnect. looks loke it is time to swap to a pioneer headunit.
App keeps closing as soon as I open it. I cannot use it and my stereo has very limited audio adjustments without the app some expensive stereo sounds like S@#t. I wouldn't recommend any stereo that requires this app for audio adjustments.
Dell Davis, I had the same, couldn't submit profile, but then I clicked big "X" at up corner. Then I paired but I couldn't connect, but when I followed the tutorial before pairing I was able to connect. Latest 9.0 android.
Good but BT issues. The app crashes allot on my note 10 which is causing the battery to drain. Noticed this about a year ago. Reinstalled the app recently again and I've noticed the same thing. Why hasn't this company sorted this out by now.
I'm running it on a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 small issue when I make the adjustment for my Alpine CDE-178BT the app does not allow me to save the settings it gets stuck when I hit save, Alpine when you fix this small issue. I'll update the review and will give you full 5 stars also I will try the app on my Galaxy Note 10+ 5G and Samsung Galaxy Tab 6 LTE model to see if the app allows me to save the settings thank you Alpine!! P.s this app is amazing the amount of changes you can make wow!
This app is hot garbage it is buggy does not work well and only lets you select from a small pool of Alpine products so there's a high chance what you bought isn't on the list.
Used to be a 5star great way to tune the unit, now every time I turn around I get a pop up that the app has stopped working, even tho I HAVEN'T USED IT FOR A MONTH!!!! The purpose of updates is to fix bugs, not install more!!! Cmon guys you can do better!
My trip to Wars The dark side is complete. I am absolutely filled with hate. This is hate, quite literally. I don't even want to hear what it sounds like it takes you on an endless repetitive Loop of feeling in over and over everything you've already filled out when you go to login your information doesn't exist. Is corrupted. Don't bother with this is garbage
No enough options to select i have ixl 650 for HU and s series speakers it doesn't have those selections so I don't know if the app will still work if it works I will change my review
it used to work very well...now it just connects and disconnects over and over, hurry and come out with another update..............new review now it says no internet so cant load any previous tunes back on the radio or cant save any new ones
This app is useless... 2008 Subaru Sti Note 10+ 5G ILX-650 My car is not an option, my radio is not an option, can y'all make some improvements or remove yourself from the market, your not helping, thanks for the wasted time tho.
Won't connect to deck This app used to connect great to my deck but now it won't after the app updates here lately Useless app if it won't connect to your products anymore. Come on alpine, you're better than this Fix the stupid connection problems with app please
This app is buggy and inconsistent. The feature I use most, the settings library, now cannot connect to the internet, even though every other app on my phone can. And I don't know why it needs to connect to the net when it is just pulling up presets. Those should be stored locally, on the device.
