To take full advantage of the Alterna Savings app, you must be an Alterna Savings member (sorry, Ontario residents only), plus already be registered for and have logged into Online Banking. If you’re not an Online Banking member, you can still use the locator feature to find the closest branch or ABM, including THE EXCHANGE® Network ABMs, check our rates or quickly find our contact information.

Your security is top priority, which is why our mobile banking app uses the same level of secure protection as our full Online Banking. You log in with the same credentials, and once you log out or close the app your secure session will end.

App won't load, won't allow me to log in, but tells me to log out when I try to close it even though I'm not logged in. Tried to delete app and reload from play store but now it won't download. Reallly infuriating. Would never have used it in first place if not for pandemic. Now I can't pay my bills.
It has been an easy transition for my business. However the formatting on a cell phone is not as easy to see my full account particulars as with a desktop or laptop. Haven't used cheque deposit yet by cellphone and need clarification. Thank you H. Lenthall, Ottawa
It was good while it lasted, but now the logon screen doesn't accept a pasted password so if you use a password manager like me, you're SOL.
The app keeps freezing when I use the mobile cheque deposit function. This is very problematic. I don't have a card for this account and the nearest branch bis a 45-minute drive away.
Works fine on iOS, now on android and it constantly freezes and is unresponsive. Cant even deposit a check without it hanging up.
Best idea our credit union had was to hook up with Alterna Saving. This App is far more superior then many Yet so simple to use . It's an app that anyone can use easy and yet have the best sucurity at the same time..👍 great Job to our old local credit union
It would be more secure to incorporate finger print scan option It would be way more convenient than being asked security questions all the time
Unfortunately does not work. Downloaded but, in 'sign in' screen, when click on 'login as a new user' it flashes and nothing happens.
Up until today it was a fine app but I am unable to use any app functionality as of this moment. Transfers don't work, and I cant view account activity at all.
application was written by individuals who know nothing about IT. the business requirements were not clearly defined. page navigation is difficult and cludgey with repetition of steps required by the user that dont make sense
Keeps crashing or stops responding . hopefully this update will take care of this. Works well otherwise.
Easy to use and meets my needs. I would like to see finger print log on as an option.
Recently the deposit cheque feature has begun to crash. After clicking Deposit to finalize the to deposit the app freezes and then crashes
no longer able to deposit checks, everytime I try to take a photo of a check the app closes.
I use this regularly to check my balance, and recently used it to deposit cheques. Works great!

Why has this app suddenly become incompatible with my mobile device?
After update can't access my acct or log out.
Does not work with Huawei P20 for depositing checks using camera.
Whenever I try to take a picture to deposit a cheque, the app closes.
Alterna savings is a great place to bank they always treat you with respect and you always polite and courteous and always willing to help you

I love this APP
As of early October, they broke the cheque deposit function - the button to take a picture of the cheque is right on top of the Home button, so clicking it minimizes the app and takes you back to your main phone screen. Said they were looking at fixing it, but no updates yet.
