Cannot arm from the app, there are no options in the dashboard. Can't set zones either, only gives a camera option. It's May 2022 and it still does not work. I cannot set zones nor arm and disarm. It's time to change companies. Tired of paying for something that doesn't work.
After an application upgrade the app no longer works On a cellular network. the failure is the same for both Apple and Android. When first opened it hangs with the message "getting user data". it work on wifi
Laughable! Plus side? No ads. But the equipment offered is USELESS! Doorbell camera records the 30 seconds AFTER the event has triggered. You'll see a clip-art of someone at your door, but when you watch the video, you only see the aftermath. No settings to change this. Alarm feature doesn't even trigger your app when triggered! Again...USELESS! We're living in the age of the Jetsons, and they can't even keep up with the Joneses! I'm getting rid of this VERY quickly!
Unreliable. You cannot trust the status this app is showing you.... it seems to have issues connecting even when inside right next to the wifi. And apparently this is as good as this app gets.... we are back to having to use the keypad for everything which is a step backwards.. App is WORTHLESS... Negative Stars!!!!
Last update cannot arm or disarm on my lg velvet, before last update app was working fine. I have to reboot my phone now to get it to work Everytime! Then it takes two or three tries to work (if it works at all). I have reinstalled the app twice with no joy. Please fix or remove the last update. Thanks.
Worst ever!! Cannot do anything without having to constantly log back on. Not reliable.
constantly crashes, and it takes several attempts before it starts so you can enable/disable your alarm system ***update*** it gets worse ... i have been trying to set my alarm for the past 10 minutes and the app just just there, doing nothing.
The system came with my new home.. I'm trying to figure out why it exist. It's absolutely worthless besides changing my ac setting which isn't always reflected correctly.
Bad app before recent update, now mostly unusable. Home security is serious, so having an app that hangs every time you open it while it is "collecting dealer info" is totally unacceptable. I'm also getting "loss of remote supervision" errors that I've not seen in 2.5 years of using the Alula app. My dealer called Alula's technical support who said that it wasn't their fault, hmmm, seems odd that my problems started right after a software update (which yesterday's patch didn't fix).
I would not recommend integrating this security app into your system. It has constant issues. It is difficult to use, not intuitive, and completely unreliable.
App doesn't work. Wall unit is on the fritz and won't connect after disconnecting itself. Useless
Doesn't always connect to the system, it'll buffer for a very long time before timing out.
It was working fine before until this week. Then I found out that the app was updated. So the new update breaks the app. Please fix it. The app only shows connecting to system and nothing else.
Like the app HOWEVER if you get logged out and don't know your username and password it's impossible to reach anyone to retrieve this information.
App shows doors locked and unlocked when they are actually the opposite is the biggest grip. It also takes way too long to lock and unlock or is constantly refreshing.
The update completely locked me out and of course, alarm company is closed. If there's is an app update pushed, it should not delete user access. Seems like it was not tested fully prior to release.
Excellent app. Able to control/monitor alarm system from anywhere.
Easy to use and the remote features is PERFECT!
No major issues until the most recent update, can no longer control smart devices from the app. I now have to go to the panel to control thermostats and lights. The other security devices work, but the point of the app was to integrate my home and now I can't, very disappointing. Also, there was no communication about this, I'm dreading having to re-enroll security devices which happens somewhat frequently my doorbell.
The idea of this app is wonderful. The layout of the app is pretty user friendly for the most part. Getting the app to not log me out, to refresh, and to actually work when I click on the camera is the problem. Of this app consistently worked, it would be great. Also, not much customization options. But I do like that it's independent of a company so it's just us who are logged in seeing the info.
Update: The app works intermittently. It can take way too long to load, requiring several restarts, and will even load showing your system disarmed when it's armed. How can you trust an app that can't give you your current system status correctly? Original: Works but it's slow to open and connect to my system. I also wish it had more functionality and allowed Google/Nest integration but alas...
very basic compared to my old wireless App with another company. It started out working okay except the camera pushed notifications every 3 minutes, which drove me nuts! Now it doesn't give notifications at all, and the camera feature quit working altogether! What good is a security camera if it doesn't work?? In addition, everything under the Zones area is dimmed active and will not allow me to change it. App is also slow. I am not happy... Will more than likely change companies.
App no longer displays any sort of notifications, app is up to date. Worked fine for a year and no longer works. No notification of the alarm turning on or off, going off, smoke detectors going off. This is why we switched to this. Support is non existent. Several Emails have gone unanswered.
I may have to switch to a different company. my alarm technician communicated with the software people. They see no problems with their product. what planet are they on? it's a buggy program. im not sure i can have such a flawed software program protecting our home! Two years later 12/2021 this program is still unreliable. It's garbage disguised as software.
If I could give this ZERO stars I would! The app and the service is a joke. Our camera works when it wants to. I recently changed my wifi router and I'm suppose to reset the camera and touch the "+" sign in the upper right corner of the app to connect the camera to the new wifi. However, there is no "+"!! How can I use something that doesn't even exist? 🤦♀️
Most horrible consumer service. We bought a home with this doorbell installed. I've tried to find a dealer 3 TIMES through alula no response. I'm just gonna take it off and chuck it in bin.
Never connects to system. Have to log out and several times have had to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to connect to the system. Doesn't show activity like when doors were opened and closed (ADT blue app does that). It feels like there are very straightforward features that just don't work on this app.
App was working fine and one day stopped recognizing log in credentials. Useless app if it can't log me in.
Can't connect since the update on January. Beta and normal are affected. Contacted Alula directly and they declined to admit an issue.
This app works but it's very basic. It has buttons for quick Arming Stay/Away and Disarming but these buttons don't work. You have to use Keypad screen to punch in code to Disarm, not convenient. This app does not give Arm/Disarm history like other apps. It has notification for each zone but again no history for zone notification. Please add history for Arm/Disarm function and add history for zone notification....very useful!
