Always On Display, AMOLED (CryptoWake)

Amazing work! Unfortunately, it won't quite meet my needs. 1) I can't have screen always lit. Better if 1st touch triggered the low power version (instead of high power more detailed version), and was black/off) until then (instead of low power version). I'm often away from outlets, & my area (Santa Cruz Mtns CA) has power outages ea week! from 5hr-2days! 2) If media player is active, but paused when screen is turned off, the Media Player buttons don't show! This half defeats its purpose 😩

This is easily the best AOD app I've ever tried. Beautiful, flexible and feature packed but easy to use if you need just basic features. Any AOD app on an LCD screen will drain battery a little faster (it's down to LCD technology) but this app has battery optimisation options and they do help. I now use the app on two phones and love it!

It is a good idea, lots of customisation. But execution is poor. Maybe less would have been more. Considering what you get, very expensive and you have to pay subscription for weather. For example world clock shows 3 digits for the minutes. Sometimes turns off by itself. Wanted to send feedback, didn't work. Refund please and I will give 3 stars.

Calendar bug detected? 😝 it will show an upcoming holiday but not on the day of. It also won't show any added events, appointments, etc. And yes, I have granted all permissions, checked double-checked and triple-checked, even with google calendar on my phone. Edit. Followed your instructions. Still not working. It's weird because it was showing the upcoming holiday for almost 5 days and now that it's the actual holiday it doesn't. Still I'll give it 5 stars. I love it

my second review: Now I got it working fine , as I mentioned before, it's a great app , and I loved it, the only think I don't like is that it drains the battery much faster as the screen is literally on but dimmed. and a big thank you for the developer for the prompt response and support. my first review: nice but It doesn't work by itself unless I push power button or unlock button, tried everything and still the same. galaxy s9 plus.

The app is good, very customisable even in free form, BUT......I cannot get the AOD to work. When I lock my phone the screen just stays black, pushing the power button just brings up my normal lockscreen. Given the app all permissions, turned on "problem loading", still nothing. AOD only works as long as the app is open, which I assume is not the way it should be ?

i installed this app a few times,i like the concept ,however I'm using it for the basic purpose. i have a moto G7. but my issue is simply that it doesn't show up constantly. it would be nice if it could be more of a lockscreen ? I've tried several setting,but it's still not working? additionally I paid for some of the upgrades?Update. I reinstalled the app and knock on wood its working as planned.

All in all good, but after covering the proximity sensor to emulate putting it in my pocket, the lockscreen shows up and only then it goes into a black screen. This is a problem because in the pocket it can rub against the skin and keep the screen on, activate the camera and emergency calls.

The greatest, AOD I came across so far, great UI. accept I'm having 2 issues with it, if not it will be a full 5 stars. *Note: I'm using Huawei P20 Pro 1. Fast charging issue: why is there a need to select fast charging or not. should have been plugin and auto fast charging without having to select. Even though I've select fast charging, it charge so slow freakin slow. I need to disable it then it would be on super charge. 2. Fast battery drainage: most probably I haven't tweak the settings to the best of battery saving. Overall it's all good. Keep it up.

The app is very good, I'm using it from a very long time, but with last update came a slight problem with new function - I really appreciate option for gaining currency by watching ads to purchase packs (I'm the one of the people which cannot buy them with cash), BUT when I'm trying to watch ads, app first show ''loading ad'' and then second later ''Failed Loadind Ad. Error 0''. I don't know if it's a bug or problem with my phone. Beside that tiny issue app is amazing, it is best AOD I ever had!

My primary requirement is simply for a good AOD that also doubles as a night clock that will auto-dim to be only just visable. I must have tried 50 apps, but I skipped CryptoWake because I assumed it was totally currency focused. However, this app is the most configurable that I have found & the only one that does exactly what I wanted. The PoiretOne font has the advantage of being one of the largest & thinnest, so it doesn't light the room at night, & it also minimises day-time power drain.

would love it if after a configurable time example 5 seconds the display shuts off. now if you have your phone face up the always on display stays on. you have to flip the phone face down to shut it off. other similar apps shut the display off after a certain time even if your phone is faced up. hope I explained it well enough.

Update 04/2022: I'm so happy. I reinstalled the app on both my phones (after a week) and its working again. Update 04/2022: On both my phones, the app stopped working today. Even merely Preview just returns you to App Settings. No changes to Settings make a difference. I was a happy (proud) app user til today. Reinstalled but no difference. I'm so sad. I was previously a 5 star review.

You should have an option to where it only turns on when charging. And when i press the power button while the always on display is on that should turn it off shouldn't it? No, it opens the lock screen just wasting more battery by fighting the aod trying to turn it off without permanently shutting off the service. Don't get me wrong its a very great app. I just don't want the aod on while my phone is on battery power.

Ambitious app but settings could be more intuitive and it has various issues; eg doesn't show correct events for today, even when set to 1 day. Time font is too small to view from a distance. Doesn't always activate. Going back to standard Samsung AOD.

it seems to consume a lot of battery for lcd screens (like I have) for which u have thankfully given an option to put it to sleep till one presses the power button. Here most modern lcd phones now have fingerprint reader embedded in power button, so by just touching it, phone gets unlocked so that whole concept of AOD showing missed notifications or displaying time, just go null and void straight away Easiest way out for lcd screen is to simply give an option of single or double tap to wake

I have it on my Pixel 5. It has the best options for customizing the display. The problem I have is that after a while it stops working until I open the app up again. I leave the silent notification on, but the app still stops working.

I love this app, I tried to get Report button but not sure where it is exactly. Anyway I will change review after Issue .... When I run this app it shows in recent apps and works in background but when I optimise the phone it automatically turn off I don't know why. Even I enabled everything. its all great but the bottom navigation bar is there when the device is asleep which is irritating because my navigation bar is white so its bright and does not need to be there. i found a place in the settings to turn that off but it didnt work. cant it just be a complete black screen?

Whenever I lock my phone or the screen turns off, it just wakes the screen back up again. The problem loading option doesn't change a thing.. I'm on a Mi 9T. This looks like such a cool ambient display option, I'm really sad it doesn't work for me

I like the app. But is there a way of totally blacking out the screen and then when a message comes in it can stay lit. The clock keeps on staying on the whole time and it kills the battery. Please let know if there is a way to do this

Great app if notifications would appear on the display. I. Fact of anyone is looki g for a big free app 'Alqays on AMOLED Edge Lighting is a great one. Can eat some battery life but I've found it to work better than the rest. At least this developer was kind enough to refund my money.

No experience, just huge fancy ads and this app trying to jack me up for 5 bucks or else i don't get to see what the heck its supposed to do. So i uninstalled. Pretty much like all the new app in the App Store, just Ad generating tools killing our user experience.

I have an enhancement request: For me the weather widget always shows the same temperature three times. It would be good to add an option to show only one value.
