AlwaysOnVpnFix

Starting with version Android 4.2 there is a very useful function: to mention one of the defined profiles VPN as "always connected". In this case, the operating system itself will follow to activate this profile when you turn on the device and keep it in good working condition without any user intervention.
However, starting with version Android 4.4 (?) In the Android kernel was an error due to which the VPN though maintained in working order, it can not be used. Moreover, in this case at all lost access to the Internet for all the programs on the device. The very error and its cause is described in the Android Open Source Project
- Issue Tracker. Issue 63450.

In a nutshell: When this mode is one rule of the internal firewall is installed incorrectly, causing all traffic through the tunnel is blocked. The solution could be a fixpack for the core, but Google, as far as I know, until now it has not released. Therefore, one possible solution is currently wrong or change rules manually (user intervention is required, having knowledge of the console commands linux and root-access on the device, as the team changes is preferred), or use an application that will do it automatically when the status changes network connection.

To correct this error, and is engaged in the application AlwaysOnVpnFix. The application is absolutely free, contains no advertising and does not use the Internet. Set of permissions requested is the minimum necessary for its operation. However, the requirement root-access is required (see. Above).

The application requires that the device be able to get a root-privileges. Typically, this is done using the application SuperSU, but there are other options that also can be used for work AlwaysOnVpnFix.

Do not install this application if you do not use the "Always-On VPN"
- you do not need it.

Do not install this application if you do not have root-access to your device
- it will not work.

Well, if you do decide to use this application, please leave a review about it in the Google Play Market.

My device is considered "un-rootabe" by the internet of phone geeks... (xda, android authority, etc.)... so I cannot use this fix... I didn't even try because I can read (it says you need root in the description... I'm a developer, trust me, if the dev says it requires root, it does) so I just downloaded it because play store won't let me leave a comment on an app not downloaded ... this comment isn't for the benefit of others, it's here so that my play store comment scraper can find it later... #findable# ...and to let readers know that the star rating accompanying this comment has nothing to do with an actual user's experience with this app.
