Simple and easy to use. When I used my last bank's app, all the unnecessary bells and whistles made the experience slow and painful. Glad I made the switch!
Majorly lags behind most modern apps. Biggest flaws are: no biometric login: needs lots of light to focus on checks to deposit: can't control flash to provide more light; have to write EXACTLY "For mobile deposit only at Amalgamated Bank" on check or deposit will be rejected, and camera is super laggy when taking pictures of checks. I like Amalgamated's mission but poor app, service, and closing branches is making it harder and harder to stay with them.
I love this app. I don't mind signing in each time, it saves my ID, I just enter the PW, why not? I've had no problems at all, deposits are easy. I've been banking with Amalgamated since 1972, and I really appreciate its dedication to progressive banking.
One of the worst user experiences. I have to change my password nearly everytime I want to use it, because it keeps saying Invalid password. It works fine on my laptop, but y'all need to do a much better job.
Good app for an excellent, socially beneficial progressive bank. Any chance you could also become technically more progressive in security, by adding both biometrics authentication (fingerprint, face etc.), and TRUE two-factor-authentication NOT dependent on too-easily hacked/stolen SMS text? At minimum the common TOTP standard used by Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator and Authy? Better still, also allow option to use a secure hardware key such as the Google Titan key and Yubikey.
The app is unable to focus on the endorsement on the back of my checks and cannot focus. I can't deposit checks remotely which is really bad during a pandemic.
A fine experience with the bank so far but the app doesn't work with password managers so I think I'll stick to the web browser.
This app is laughable and ultimately made me switch banks. I can't even use the mobile deposit function without f$&@ing up. Get with the program and fix the app. You're losing customers
This app is stressful it does not let you look into your statements and balances and it is very confusing ,all it will state is your recent balance not your withdrawals that's why i still get the statements in the mail this website should do both
This app has really gone far downhill. Used to be great, now you're lucky if it even loads up. Get it together Amalgamated or go back to text banking, at least then I can check my balance!
Well amalgamated bank you blew it. Couldn't just leave the app alone without ads and stupid error messages. Don't upgrade if it ain't broke...Uninstaller is ready....bye
This app is slow it is constantly giving me error messages. Sometimes I have to wait hours for it to clear. Very frustrstingš„ŗ
App can't manage to focus on the back of the check. Camera and focus work perfectly elsewhere.
When it works it's fine. Today however it can't load and I can't stop the app except by turning my phone off and on.
Can't log into my account and the account numbers are wrong when I try to sign in using a security code. Don't waste time with this bank, you'll never talk to a customer service rep.
Doesn't load as of late August 2020. Before that, was fine for checking balances but pretty limited beyond that.
I keep being asked to login and the login screen rarely shows my correct phone number to verify me.
App wouldn't reach bank server, gave me a blank screen. I had to uninstall and reinstall to make it work
Remove the lock-out function for rooted phones. It's unnecessary.
Fix your app. I haven't been able to log in over a week now. I keep getting an error message

This is the most worthless use of space there is. But that is my feeling on the damn bank too.
Just says downloading updates and doesn't do anything. Clearly the bank isnt investing anything into this app.
Okay for checking balances, looking up no fee ATMs even though they're sometimes outdated but not for deposits. An option is provided to make deposits and naturally a picture of the check is required. This is where the antics begin. The camera more often than not does not recognize the check even though phone is allowed to capture images for amalgamated.
